I came to Ogdens because I wanted a local company that would stand behind the flooring I wanted. Was it a seamless process all the way through? No... but they absolutely communicated with me and kept me in the loop and explained everything. I am 100% satisfied that it was the best use of my money and time. Probably the very best part was their installer. Eye for detail and beautiful work on top of the most professional manner. He was a delight to have in our home. Showed up ON TIME every single day and finished almost exactly when he estimated he would. His name was Joe, and wow! No clue if they have a bunch of installers or not, but I would recommend Joe to my MOM. read more

Update: After we made contact we made contact with the owner, he replaced our floors. In Aug of 20 I accepted Ogden Flooring's bid even though they were not the cheapest option since they are "known through the community for having the best installers" (See pic) That was not my experience ! LVP is supposed to last 10-20 years. In less than a year, I had SEVERAL cracks in our new flooring. I requested this be repaired. As the cracked flooring was removed, large debris were found. The original installers did not clear the debris before installing. There were additional issues with the initial installation, & when I addressed them with Ogdens flooring the response was defensive. Examples- During floor prep, the guys removed the door stops. When they came slamming through the front door they made a hole in the wall. When this was later addressed they alluded to us that we were lying b/c their guys won't use the front door. We had to show them our doorbell camera footage to prove it! Installation was not done on time. We had to move in mid-project with me 6m pregnant & 3 young children in the house, they did not clean at the end of each day. They left exposed nails & power tools/saws out while there were children about. When the project was over (or so we assumed as several days had passed with no more workers but we weren't told anything) we called in. A pile of trash/sawdust was left in our garage. We were told that was normal and they were probably not done yet. We also had to call to request the trim pieces be installed. Amidst this, the dishwasher stopped working. Ogdens denied involvement, citing no reason to touch it. We sent them pictures of pieces of baseboard labeled by their workers with the words "Dishwasher" on the back. After having a tech out, it turns out the guys had disconnected the waterline and did not reconnect it. The removal of the baseboards left large indents all along the wall/ chips. To this I was told baseboards were not included in the fee. (see pic) The hard floor transition to carpet on the stairs is bunched and the seam is clearly visible. (see pic) The installer told me, "Well I'm not a carpet guy" When I addressed these issues, the manager had an answer for everything. We had to FIGHT for anything to be made "right" by sending pictures, rebutting, & having other techs visit. The ultimate solution- $150 credited back to us for the cost of the drywall & having the Dishwasher tech come out Present Day- So over 3 years, the lumps have turned to cracks, the repaired panels have peeled, places are scratched etc. These issues have to be addressed since we are selling. I went into the store with 2 requests: replace the damaged LVP panels & carpet 1 room ASAP. I summarized why I needed panel repairs for the 2nd manager. They estimated around $300 for the carpet; first pick got discontinued. The next option was higher quality at $700. The final choice, within the $300 range, would arrive in about a week. The manager said he'd measure it in 2 days. After measuring, he indicated it might be closer to $400 due to the larger room, but he'd send an official cost sheet via email soon. I stressed the timeline and requested a prompt install. 6 days later, this manager sent me a text asking if I remembered what carpet I had picked out! 3 days later I reached out to see if the carpet had been ordered & confirmed that the panels of LVP will be replaced as scheduled. The carpet hadn't been ordered. Ogden's LVP repairman told my husband that the panels were not installed correctly. Un-sanded seams and lingering debris were causing chipping and cracking, necessitating a complete floor replacement. He left saying he will contact his boss & we should expect a call. A few hours later I reached out. Our text conversation left me stunned.[see pic] As of yet there has been no resolution. After 2 separate installers have told Ogden's flooring directly that this was a bad install, no refund or replacement will be agreed to by them. They want me to use the original installers they fired to replace the damaged panels & let the rest be "someone else's problem" read more

UPDATE: After posting this review I was contacted by Nate who came out and inspected the carpet installation and is working on a resolution to fix the issues. After looking at multiple local stores and big box retailers we settled on getting our flooring from Ogden's in Lehi UT based on a recommendation from our neighbor. The products they carry are good quality with a decent selection and the prices were competitive. However, their customer service could use improvement. - Phone calls went unreturned - Took longer to get a quote than other retailers - Didn't notify us when the laminate came in like they said they would The carpet installation experience wasn't very satisfactory. - Seams were visible - Transitions between carpet and laminate are fully exposed leaving the laminate edge and concrete underneath visible - Had to clean carpet glue off the laminate, walls and baseboard - Walls were dented and the paint scraped off - Baseboards had paint scraped off, dents from the kicker and deep knife gouges in a few places read more

Stopped by to look at flooring. I need a significant amount, and had already had our house measured - we are working with a professional floor installer. Barely any selection, but I found a couple LVP examples I wanted to take a couple home. They don't allow that. Only if someone comes to measure your house, and they'll bring the example with them. I said I lived close and could bring it back. They shrugged their shoulders at me. The attitude was the worst, but I've never gone to a flooring place that didn't allow examples to be taken home for 24-48 hours. I walked out, no sale. We love Ogden's in Lehi! The sales rep - Nathan - was super helpful in helping us to choose which carpet would be best for our needs! The installer -Damion - arrived just when I was told he would be there. He explained what he would be doing and about how long it would take and when they were finished it was perfect! Right down to the vacuum lines in the carpet! We will definitely go back to Ogden's for all of our future flooring needs and will recommend them to all of our friends! read more

We purchased over $7000 in laminate flooring. Our salesman Tyler promised that they would move our furniture and appliances and that the install would take 4 days. On day 1 of our install an elderly gentleman showed up and started slowly removing our hardwood floor. Midway through the day his son arrived and helped. On day 2 the pair came back and in the late afternoon the actual installer showed up. It turns out he was stuck out of town so he just sent his dad and brother to start the tear out, with full knowledge that this would delay the install and make our kitchen and great room unusable for a longer time. The afternoon he arrived he put down 6 rows of laminate and called it a day. Upon our arrival home we found one of the boards was obviously defective and we marked it with a note saying that it needed to be replaced. On day 3 my wife came home in the afternoon to find the installer sitting on the floor doing nothing. Absolutely nothing had been done all day. The installer explained to her that the laminate flooring that we had purchased was an awful product and that we should never have bought it and he said that our prior hardwood was much better. He said that he refused to move any furniture or appliances. He also said that he refused to put laminate on my stairs (we had paid over $2000 to have this done). He suggested that we leave our house completely torn up and order a different product and have it installed in 3 weeks. With my wife in tears we tried to get in touch with the store owner, Chase. We were told he was at the store, so we start to drive over. Just before we arrived the store called saying that he left without waiting for us. So we asked to speak with him on the phone. The salesman on the phone told us no. After I explained the situation and yelled quite a lot, Chase eventually called us back that night. In the interim our installer called us and told us that we didn't understand him and that the laminate we purchased was good and that it he could definitely do the stairs, but that it would look bad. Finally Chase called us, he explained that Tyler had promised us things that he shouldn't have and that our installer was a very opinionated liar who should learn to keep his mouth shut. As the owner, Chase never once took any level of responsibility for the issues and he just bad mouthed his employees/contractors. He did say that he would "make it right." This meant that the installation team was changed to 2 people who had other jobs and came intermittently over the next 2 weeks to finish the flooring. Although Chase acknowledged that they had promised to move our furniture and appliances, the new installers still refused to do it. As part of our remodel we purchased a new washer and dryer. We pushed off the delivery to assure that our flooring would be finished. However because of the above noted delays the new appliances were delivered the day prior to the flooring being done in the room, (per Ogden's timing the flooring was supposed to be in for over a week prior to the scheduled delivery). So the washer and dryer were deliver hooked up and leveled. My wife and I then had to immediately unhook and move them, then the next day we had to move them back and re-install them. My install took 13 days, my kitchen was unusable for 6 days. We paid for removal and replacement of baseboards which apparently means that they will take down the baseboards causing them significant damage and then they will haphazardly put them back with large corner gaps, unneeded splices in the middle of runs, and severe damage that they attempted to repair with wood glue. I spent 5 hours with caulk, spackling and wood filler to make them passable. I spoke to Chase about the baseboards and he responded by saying "Uh huh." In the end, Chase gave us a prepaid visa card that was equivalent to 1% of our purchase price, to make the issues "right". My suggestions to Ogden's are: better train your salespeople and installers so they are on the same page. Fulfill promises made to customers (even if the promises are not your standard practice). Take responsibility for issues rather than badmouthing employees, actually apologize for issues. If you offer baseboard removal/replacement make certain that you can do this in a satisfactory manner. If a delay happens, the answer is not to bring in part-time help and make to delay drag on even more, you should bring in as much help as possible to limit the delay going forward. If you do feel that a discount is the correct course of action to make things right, 1% of the purchase price is not sufficient. Overall, although my laminate does look nice, I can in no way recommend Ogden's Flooring. Very poor customer service, delays, unfulfilled promises and poor treatment and results of my baseboards are the reasons. Sadly I will now be looking for a new flooring company as I am replacing the carpeting throughout the rest of my house. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I thought to support local first but what a mistake I made. They told us 2 days and 2.5 months later they still have not finished. There are different contractors each time and no one has been on time yet. They show up whenever they want and leave whenever they want. There are plenty mistakes in the flooring which we got laminate and no one wants to fix them. We aren't paying till it's done but no one can help with the frustration and pain this has been. The problem is they contract out and salesman will tell you whatever you want to hear but communication I this business is a joke. Buyer beware. We might report them to BBB.
