Very poor workmanship, dishonest, and their promise of "satisfaction guaranteed" means nothing…read more I had a doorway transition where the LVT and transition was not cut parallel to the planks nor the doorway. The carpet installer left us a 2 in overlap, because as he said "it would look stupid if I just fastened it in the current transition". Prior to hiring Floor Coverings International (FCI) to fix this, I was very specific is explaining that the project needed both LVT and carpet expertise to fix the problem. FCI assured me that the technician would be skilled in both LVT and carpet. Further, I asked if my satisfaction with the work would be guaranteed, and FCI promised that it would be. FCI required $250 minimum for any work done. Since the repair involved both LVT and carpet, I figured the cost would be between $300 and $500, so $250 minimum was acceptable. Their installer showed up on time, told us that it couldn't be straightened without LVT work, and he couldn't do that. So he cut the carpet, and placed it under the transition...took less than 10 minutes. Now we were left in a more difficult position than before, as we no longer had the extra 2 in of carpet to work with that the carpet installer had left us. I told FCI that I was not happy with the work. FCI phone call included the installer, and he told me that the problem was the door framing, and that if we were to straighten out the transition, it would look funny since it didn't line up with the door. He said the current transition was parallel to the door. I went to the house, and the installer if full of nonsense. The transition is 1/4 in off of parallel with the doorway, and exaggerates the funny angle. It could have been easily hidden under the door, contrary to the claim of the installer. I sent a picture to FCI, and their comment was "we will fix that for an additional $425, in addition to the $250 we already agreed to". While he did agree to reducing that by $125, he would not be able to do the repair within the week. I pointed out that the work was not done correctly, and that $250 for less than 10 minutes of work seems extravagant. FCI's comment: "$250 is simply our minimum". Bottom line: work was not done properly, installed lied about the problem so that he didn't have to do the work, and the satisfaction guarantee meant nothing. I will never hire this company again.

He kept making excuses that they wanted him to do more work and again didn't notify me. It all turned out to be total lies and he's a scammer. It was too late to stop the Venmo transaction. He is really responsive until you send him money. I realized after I was too trusting and when I read other reviews here I noticed he had done the same thing two years ago. Also, he hadn't had a review on Yelp for over two years. Don't be trusting. I requested the money back through Venmo and he obviously didn't send the money back. Buyer beware this guy Miguel is a smooth snake like character. I hope I save someone else from getting ripped off from him.

Our carpet was installed within two weeks (quicker than Home Depot!) and two years later we still love it! After we got our carpet installed my dad remembered that they got their carpet here too, and 20 years later it still is holding up great. If you're in need of carpet, don't waste your time looking anywhere else. Come here first!!

Canyon Custom had Jake come out and assured us that after it dried out, it could be refinished and good as new. It took over 3 months to get dried out over the summer, Jake checked it a couple of times. By July, he determined it was ready to sand and refinish. It looked good after, for about 3 weeks. Very quickly it started separating and cupping. I contacted them again, they had no ideas as to why it was doing that. Moisture in the wood was measured again and it was still dry. Originally they guaranteed it for a year, pretty standard, but now they won't do anything and won't respond to me My elderly parents are now out thousands of dollars and have a floor that clearly needs to be replaced. I really wish we would have listened to the other flooring guys, these guys SEEMED good until their service failed and they won't stand behind their work.

I tried calling to find out what was up, but they kept playing phone games and gave the impression of not caring about me or the job. I guess these folks can afford to jerk people around. Yet another business that doesn't want my money. I'm not sure how ghosting potential clients is profitable, but it seems to be going around a lot lately - maybe the ghosters know something I don't, but it really irritates, frustrates, and inconveniences the clients.
