This spot is about an hour from our home in the East Valley, and we first found it while staying at The Boulders Resort nearby last summer. We came back to celebrate my Nana's birthday (she's a Halloween baby!) and it was perfect for the occasion. The food is always delicious and worth the drive. The restaurant is beautiful and so colorful. There is plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, lots of parking, and friendly servers. The two times we have gone (this last time being one of them) the restaurant has been quiet with locals as their customers. We are sure it is likely due to off-season timing or being that we last came on a Sunday, but that just makes it feel even more relaxing. Highly recommend!

4 of us stopped on a Sunday about 5 pm for their happy hour. Service was good, but of course there was only 2 other tables of 2, in the entire the place the entire time we were there. Food was good, two of the four of us ordered from the regular menu. Happy hour drinks were decent. Would easily be 4 stars, but we were sitting in the 'bar' area at a table and were Freezing probably due to their having the temperature set for there being more people and we were under a vent. We asked if we could move, but the waitress said sure, but then we could not do happy hour. We said ask a manager if we could move and still do happy hour, she said there was no manager there. So they would rather loose customers rather then move us when we were half of the clientele the whole time we were there. Probably will not be returning........

1/5/2026 Update: They are on the pricey side, but they have more affordable dishes too. It would be nice if you got free chips and salsa like most other places, but $4 isn't bad. Plus they give you 3 types of dips with it. I had cheese enchiladas, and my wife had flautas. Both dishes were very good and with nice presentation. The restaurant is a nice, stylish location with several decorations that celebrate Dia de los Muertos. Thank you.

The food was really tasty and the service was wonderful. My husband loves chile rellanos and he said these were some of the best he's ever had. I had the brisket tacos and they were delicious. It's a little pricey so we won't be going too often. The ambience is great.

I enjoyed the food, service and the friendly ambiance. The staff were very welcoming and the food did not disappoint.

Bland guacamole $14

This restaurant is very expensive for the service that you get. Con's: $14 guacamole is bland. Reminds me more of wholly guacamole I asked of my son was able to get a small sample of their tortillas soup and the waitress said no, because everything is prepared ahead of time. In the end she was able to bring it out, but still rude. We came on a Sunday to take advantage of their happy hour but with no warning, she said they are not offering it because of the art festival right outside. I ordered a skinny margarita but did not like it so upgraded to a Cadillac, but when the check came she tried to charge me for it. They don't have a kids menu, but had the usual "burrito, taco, hamburger "

Beautiful restaurant with ample seating and solid bar options. Hand made tortillas round out the delicious menu. Friendly and welcoming service. A real gem in Cave Creek.

Beans?

Trash service is terrible except the host Danna she's exceptional deserves a raise the chips were scrumptious and the dessert was yummy but everything else was

Wasn't impressed food average and high priced for a glorified Mexican restaurant.. Maybe a bad night for tacos?

I truly left this spot with mixed feelings…read more On the one hand, our servers were fabulous! They were dealing with a very large party (with a lot of confusion) behind us, so it was clear both the servers and kitchen staff were stretched thin. I'm not sure if it's a newer addition based on the reviews, but the spot is decorated beautifully. With decor, games, a solid color scheme and a variety of menu options, it's truly an inviting standout in Carefree! Our food was just fine (I think they're aiming for elevated bar food), and our drinks were alright. I'm not sure my smoked old fashioned was prepared correctly but it happens. However, for the experience I left feeling I'd severely overpaid. Additionally, the company was questionable. A gentleman walked around the venue with a dog and a frown, a man came in barefoot to pick up an order, and I witnessed a non employee (or off shift employee?) sneak behind the bar several times. There seems to be a speakeasy medspa behind a painting, but we didn't get the details. This spot has the potential to be a total standout! A mixologist with a solid craft cocktail menu and execution, a menu rethink, and maybe some event programming and this spot could certainly be a home run! If I revisit, I'd be beyond delighted to see they've grown into their potential! Best of luck to these folks!

A Shoutout to Cindy & a New Neighborhood Favorite!…read more We just got back from lunch at Tox Bar/Speedy Burger in Carefree, and what a treat it was! To our delight, Cindy--yes, the Cindy many of us have known and loved for years--was there bartending and serving with the same warm smile and stellar service she's always been known for. This time, though, she's doing it at a place that offers great food, a fun and cozy ambience, and a dog-friendly patio--a rare combo that's hard to beat. Let's face it: dining out isn't as affordable as it once was. But as I told Cindy, I don't mind paying for quality food and excellent service--and that's exactly what you'll get at Tox Bar/Speedy Burger. For years, we were loyal regulars at Brisam's, visiting twice a week. But over time, prices soared, food quality declined, and the atmosphere never improved. The space started to feel tired and neglected. Sadly, the lack of connection from ownership didn't help--unless you were a former mayor or someone "important," you likely didn't get a second glance. Let's be honest: Cindy carried Brisam's for 18 years. Her genuine care for customers was the reason many of us kept going back. Now that she's moved on, it's no surprise to see the shift. So here's my suggestion: support a place that supports its people and customers. Tox Bar/Speedy Burger is that place. Stop by on Sundays or Tuesdays this summer to see Cindy in action. Come fall, I predict it'll be wall-to-wall locals enjoying everything this gem has to offer. Let's spread the word and give our support where it's truly deserved.

My wife and I came here for a date night because we live in Cave Creek, and we had a great dinner!…read moreJulie was our server, and she was excellent: very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave us clear expectations about the food items we asked about. I got the Ribeye and added a Lobster tail, all of which was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The sides were generous and well-prepared as well (cream corn and yukon gold mashed). We weren't going to get dessert as we were both very full, but Alex, one of the other servers bought us the Creme Brulee and it was the perfect ending to a great night out. Thank you Julie, Alex, and staff! We will definitely be coming back regularly.

This is such a hard review to write. I have been to Keeler's about a hundred times in the past two…read moreor three years alone. I love this spot. I love how it really is a neighborhood joint. I love the staff that work there. I love the food. I love the cocktails. I love this place. Tonight was a very weird situation. During our meal, I bit into a salad, and something in the salad cracked my tooth in half. I immediately had to spit out everything in my mouth, try to find the remainder of my tooth, and figure out what happened. My tooth was broken almost in half. That is a pretty jarring experience to go through, just because you're trying to put all the pieces together and make sure that you're not more injured than you seem in the moment. The manager came over, asked if I was okay, and left. I had to excuse myself because I needed to call my dentist to see what I needed to do about this emergency situation. When I got back, he stopped by one more time just to make sure I was okay and then left. Nothing else was ever done. During his visit with us, he admitted that it was probably the candied nuts and the salad that broke my tooth. No apologies, no amends, nothing. Now, I understand, or should I say, I am not the person that goes and expects things to be comped or taken care of. I do expect, from a neighborhood restaurant that prides itself on its personal connections, that they take care of their patrons. I've worked in hospitality for over 20 years. I know the effort that it can take, and I know the effort that it does not take to make a patron feel special, heard, or even seen. Our bill was not extravagant. We had four drinks between the three of us, and each ordered full-price burgers. No, we did not have an expensive tab, but the fact that nothing was done, I am a little shocked. I'm more than a little shocked because I know how little it takes to take off a cocktail or 10% or anything that is based in genuine hospitality. Again, this is a super weird review because I love this place. I love the food. I love the cocktails. I love everything about this place, but I will never go back now. I will tell people not to go there now. I will now have to pay hundreds and thousands of dollars to replace my tooth based off of a 150$ meal that I had there. The most special places I have been have not been about giving free things or comping this and that. It's about establishments and people truly wanting someone's experience to be special. I've come to expect that from Keeler's. I don't know if tonight was an off night or just the wrong manager or the wrong server, but unfortunately, this place has left its mark in my mouth (pun intended). I mean this in the way that all moms mean it to their kid that has just acted out... I'm not mad. I'm just truly disappointed. Truly. disappointed. So if anyone has any recommendations for a new neighborhood steakhouse in the Cave Creek-Carefree region, let me know. I'm on the hunt.

**July 2026: Wednesday Night**…read more During our Arizona road trip, my friend and I made a spontaneous stop in Cave Creek and were instantly drawn to the town's western charm. We were looking for an authentic saloon experience, and Harold's Corral seemed like the perfect fit. We came on a Wednesday evening and were seated in a booth. The place was already bustling, and there was live music that night, which made the whole atmosphere feel really lively and fun. We each enjoyed a bottle of sarsaparilla and a prime rib dinner, which was the special of the night. The food was decent, but honestly, the vibe was the real highlight for me. They have live bull riding on Wednesday and Friday evenings, which sounded really cool. We were pretty wiped out and still had an hour of driving ahead of us, so we didn't stay for that part, but it definitely made me want to come back another time. If I'm ever in the area again, I'd love to return on a Friday night to check out the children's mutton riding competition, which I heard is especially cute.
