My son and his wife needed to replace some single pane windows in their 1979 home, and I asked my neighbor who he used. Without hesitation, he suggested Ben at Offshore Windows, as Ben had replaced windows for him in his two houses. So my son called, and immediately got an appointment for Ben (and Becky) to come out and take measurements and provide a quote (he had called Anderson Windows and they quoted him about $36k for nine windows which was ridiculous!). My son wanted me to be there when Ben came, and upon seeing the demonstration for the Anlin windows, I mentioned to Ben we are interested for our 1994 home as well. His comment was "well, let's go measure"! So we did. Bottom line was he quoted us a fantastic price for our 15 windows (two of them double french doors which were actually very pricey), and we were astounded. Both my son and us signed up to get things going, and the leadtime for the custom windows was about 6 weeks. After 6 weeks, Ben called and scheduled the install, which was about 4 days after my son's install. I met the crew over his house that actually did our house as well, and I was very impressed. Elijah, the foreman, was an absolutely joy to work with, as well as the other two guys. In about 1 1/2 days, they were done, and we are still very impressed with the job. The Anlin windows we got were the dual pane, low-e, an upgraded thermal coating, and the difference as to keeping the heat out of the house is very surprising. I was, however, a bit disappointed in the french doors only because the latching mechanism, which is very good with it's 3-latch lock, but won't accept the keyless entry Schlage deadbolts that we had before. And if you want screens, really the only option is to go with the retractable (disappearing) screens which were outrageous in price ($2600 for two sets). But they are gorgeous doors, and are doing a great job keeping the heat out and the cool in. We did look at sliders like my son did, but we wanted to retain the look of french doors. I would recommend Ben and his crew hands down for your home re-window job. He's a great person and very easy to work with. (BTW, my son feels the exact same way!)

We recently used offshore to change our windows. They are great looking and quality. The french doors look amazing in our kitchen. I am so glad we went that route. We changed the front window from 1 med and 2 odd skinny ones to one bigger one and I loveee it. They did great matching the interior wall texture where the old windows were lower. You'd never know the window wasn't always like that. We had it painted right after, hence the color change. World class painted our house and they all did a great, thorough job. Definitely recommend.

This guy is a con artist. Everything about him and how he does business is a lie. Especially this months later reply to my review. He should be happy we haven't sued him. If your smart don't do business with this or his other company. Look up the cslb license for this company and you can see where they have other licenses so you want deal with them either. The company is OCWD Inc. located in Capistrano Beach(Lic 989831). The main thing he's not disputing his that his subpar work caused the damage. His whole come back is to try and make me look like the con man. It makes him look even worse. I hope that my review and this update continues to cost you business because you don't deserve to do trash work and get paid for it. Also his whole crew looks like a bunch people you don't want at your house. Probably why the work was trash. Also they didn't find him not at fault. The statue of limitations ran out. You have so long to file a claim after a job is done for you to have standing. I can post the cslb letter saying so. I kept it because I can still sue this con man in civil court. It hasn't been a year yet Mr. Ben so be careful. Your not out of the woods yet. I get 365 calendar day from the day I contacted you. He's an all around liar saying he was found not at fault. Plus who responds to a review 11 months later.

    Before

Ben and his crew were amazing. They were super flexible and helped out my wife and I with scheduling the installation around having a baby. Professional and fast installation. Explained every step of the process. The finished product was super clean and never had any leaks.

It was clear it was time for a replacement. Before choosing James, I got a quote from a very popular windows and doors company in Orange County. James, the owner of Lucero's Windows and Doors, not only offered the best price but was also extremely responsive. He mentioned that he previously worked as a Home Depot installer, which gave me confidence that he was properly trained. I was initially cautious because of the low number of reviews, but the consistent perfect scores from other customers made me optimistic. Now, after working with him, I can confidently say that Lucero's Windows and Doors is the real deal. Because our home required a custom-sized door, James came out twice to take measurements. After about two weeks, the custom entry door arrived, and he completed the installation in a single day. He told me our home was one of the oldest he's worked on, and the walls were very different from newer builds. Despite the challenges, he made everything fit perfectly, and the final result looks fantastic. We no longer feel a draft under the door, and it swings smoothly without any issues.

Very communicative and on top of things even before we confirmed going with him. The price. James's price is competitive, we also reached out to other door vendors in the area, his price came back within our budget. He's also very knowledgeable about the product and can tell he's been in the industry for a long time. It took James 2 days to get all doors installed. He was courteous and mindful getting work done. We had one door that had some problem with our floor not leveled, he assured us it would be resolved. For the utility door, the quality is above our expectation as an exterior door that not guest facing, and he complimented the hardware for us without charging since our own hardware is garbage. My partner is a very peculiar person with details. He's very happy about James work that alone speaks his work quality. I would definitely hire James again if we have door or window job, would take his referral for other jobs needed!

I made an appointment, and they completely stood me up. Later, they claimed they tried to call me or left a voicemail to change the appointment, which is not true. They never called or left any message. I have documentation as evidence, but I chose not to continue the conversation because Max kept defending himself and arguing instead of trying to resolve the issue. They also had my mailing address incorrect. I spoke with Max the day before my appointment to correct it, yet there were still multiple errors. Overall, the business seems very unorganized. The receptionist told me Max was in the office, so I was surprised when Max later claimed my appointment was with a different representative. This inconsistency felt very unprofessional and questionable. I took time out of my day for this appointment, and it is extremely rude and unprofessional that they never showed up. I do not recommend doing business with this company. There are many other businesses that provide much better customer service.

He showed…read moreup, put on a white one-piece oversuit (think Orkin man) and conducted a comprehensive review of the jobsite. I think I heard the wheels turning in his head. Most handymen just look, say "Sure...no problem" and then proceed to do the work in varying stages of competence. Not Sean. He took the time to show me the options, the obstacles and the best solutions (based on time and materials)...making sure I thoroughly understood what was needed. Honestly, I thought he was a nerd BUT, that all changed once he started. The guy came prepared. This was not a glamorous job...it was kinda brutal. My roof had just been replaced and there were all kinds of places where rodents could enter...and a few holes big enough for a cat or raccoon. The work space was hot, tight and uncomfortable. The nerd didn't mind, he put on his knee pads, sprayed his shirt with water from a spray bottle, plugged in a light and fan and went to work. He didn't stop until every access point was completely sealed, using a combination of wood, tight metal mesh, nails and that expanding foam stuff to close every little open space. He was done much sooner than expected. And that's when I realized he wasn't a nerd, he's a thinking man who entered the attic with everything he needed (tools, materials, cold water, etc.) to knock out the job as quickly as possible. I will admit I got a bit claustrophobic when I went up there to inspect his work but sonuvagun, he secured the whole damn attic. He was all smiles, clearly taking pride in his work and I was happy to write his check (for an amount that was more than reasonable). When he first arrived and started pointing out all the logistical stuff, I nearly sent him away thinking, "He's gonna charge me an arm and a leg" but Sean was just being very direct, making sure I fully understood the challenges and his recommendations which is why I am now writing this review minutes after he left. Look, I own and run 4 businesses, work 100+hrs a week, don't get enough sleep and don't have time to write detailed reviews. My eyes are so baggy they could hold a ten-day rain. You gotta be exceptionally great or horribly awful to get a review outta me and Sean Clarke has earned this. He sets the customer care bar so high, other handymen need to charter a plane just to see it. He's nothing like other handymen and trust me...that's what you want. We'll be using his service regularly in the future.

Then when our hardwood installer came to finish the wood flooring against the door track he found significan water intrusion into the sill pan. LaCantina techs visited and wrote a report with their findings which explained that the door track and sill pan were not installed properly. However, Cabana insisted that this water intrusion was normal and that the door had been installed properly. It was not a small amount of water either. Long before fax machines, pagers, cell phones, or the internet, I was driving out to their location on Katella Avenue in Cypress to place orders in person, grabbing lunch at the little Chinese restaurant next door before heading back to the job site. That's how far back we go. Over the years I worked closely with Victor Conkle, and watching this family business grow has been something special. Today, Dallas and Jeff Conkle are running California Windows, and they have taken everything that was built before them and grown it into the most reliable, knowledgeable, and trusted window and door company in Orange County. In all that time, one thing has never changed: the Conkle family and their team are simply the best in the business. The consultation, the measurements, the product selection, the installation every step is handled with a level of professionalism and precision that is genuinely hard to find. Installations are as close to perfect as anything I've seen in this industry. There's a reason they've outlasted so many competitors over the decades. When times get tough in construction, the companies that survive are the ones that earned their reputation through actual quality and reliability. The Conkle family did exactly that.
