The two gentlemen working today were awesome help on getting a rush order done for me. They worked with me even without having everything they needed we still were able to get the job done before the deadline with great attitudes and a willingness to make it workout. Thank you gentleman read more

I've ordered multiple times from print center here. And to be honest I think I'm just going to go back to our local print shop because YES, like other reviews the attitude you get from the print service workers! NO BUENO! Honest question, why does a person get a job in customer service IF THEY HAVE ZERO PATIENCE OR A CLUE HOW TO provide quality customer service. Jill doesn't even pick her head up to acknowledge clients, sad! Anyways yea if you're in desperate need of print I guess just use as last resort . read more

I wanted to give a shoutout to Kevin at Office Max in Salinas. This morning he was very helpful with placing a large order which needed to be done through the warehouse. read more

Love their service but hate their advertisement I went to buy ink for my printer and their was no ink. Now I'm gonna go back and spend $60 for another one read more

Massive attitude from clerk at print center. Only needed to drop a FedEx return. Followed the arrows was given a nasty, sneering "you're in the wrong line." I responded with a pleasant "I just need to drop off a return." I have done this many times at other locations or drop boxes. I was told I needed to get in line because she needed to check it!? So here I stand, waiting on my injured knee, for her to "check" my package. Meanwhile, a useless manager struts around, impervious to customer service, not making eye contact. Two people behind me have just left out of frustration. At the same time, the store has been empty for the last 20 minutes with clerks doing nothing. I wish FedEx made their drop boxes bigger!! I could have just dropped it in and been done in a minute! I thought Office Depot was terrible back in the day, but this Office Max on Davis, in Salinas, is giving them a run for their money! read more

Officemax - Office Max - Office Equipment Near Me - Salinas, California

In a nutshell, their after purchase support was less than worthless! I purchased a desk at the North Davis store for my son, which turned out to have missing parts. It was in a factory sealed box. The North Davis store didn't have any more in stock of this particular model, so in order to complete the assembly, I had to go to the hardware store to buy the missing parts sans the leg pads, which of course, there was nothing that would fit. Then the arduous journey with their phone support began. Many hours on the phone with two different people yielded absolutely nothing, except an implied "don't let the door hit you on your way out!" The first said that they could either send the missing parts, but it would take at least two months, or a new desk in which I could take the missing parts from it, and then ship the remainder back to them. I didn't even get the opportunity to choose, as then I was transferred to an offshore person who insisted that I had called and not been transferred (and had no record of why I had called at all), and after over an additional hour on hold, then back, then on hold again I was told that they were busy, verified my phone number, and was promised a call back. You can guess what happened; nothing! The store didn't want to help, putting it off to their corporate office, which then, in effect, just told me to ........!! GO TO STAPLES! read more

Honesty so well organized and the staff amazing! Marlene at the front was so nice and helpful just amazing service definitely recommended coming here for any of your office needs read more

The place has a filthy toilet smell of urine and ass crack but u gotta go. The prices are too much and online prices are mismatched. Workers are unfriendly and spend too much company time holding up a shelf than opening a checkout stand. Other worker seems to be on break most of the time. Don't get rewards for posting reviews anymore.. read more

I like the store for picking up what I need to keep my business running. However, where I find a major problem is at the printing center. I am on a corporate program for custom printing that saves me an incredible amount of money, therefore I am committed to having to use Officemax for all printing. The issue is that there are NEVER enough people working in the print center. Whether I come in to print one specialized piece, or 10,000 pieces, I find myself having to wait for anywhere from 20-60 minutes to get help. I run a business and cannot afford to waste and hour waiting to get help printing a few brochures. Get more people working in the print center and you'll have less frustrated people walking out because they can't get help. read more

Overpriced and not a lot of options as far as what merchandise they have on the shelf.

As a matter of respect and appreciation for the 180 degrees turn around at the Salinas OfficeMax on North Davis Road.. I have been in OfficeMax twice since I documented my displeasure in the service that day..(refer to last comments).. I will say that all employees are attentive to helping and moving customers forward towards the purposes for entering the place of business.. Like most I could make other selections to shop at, but I look for convenience, price and service even if I'm just driving through an area. Thank you for the immediate turn around.. read more

Crappy service understaffed and rude ....... stand inline for twenty minutes to be told copier doesn't work maybe a sign advising such should be posted read more

Love the staff, friendly and all. I tend to do all my office shopping here. The only thing they lack is sales people. I have gone times to shop in person for furniture and there are times item are in display yet not available and discontinued. Today, I went to buy a desk, very nice and I asked about it. Sales person said it wasn't available and it was discontinued and we could not order. I asked, if I could take display since it's discontinued. Sales person said no, because displays are open for people to see. I was confused, what is the point of having a display if it is not available in stock and discontinued? Anyways, I went online and found the desk and bought it for delivery. read more

Went in to buy a nice computer chair and was greeted with a rude clerk and a chair that they said they couldn't sell me because they were sold out. I tried to buy 1 of 2 display's that they had in store but the one they wanted me to buy looked like someone had already used it and had dirt/sweat stains all over it. Refused to sell me the other display chair because it was (tagged?) when it was in much better condition than the other display. Clerk was condescending and frankly didn't care at all that I was in their store trying to buy something. Will never go here again and will strongly discourage anyone else from going here. Hope they go out of business. read more

New online ordering and curb service is great. Place order, get a confirming email when ready in about an hour. Pull up to the curb, press the "I'm outside curbside" and they bring it right out to you. Pretty slick during these coronavirus times. read more

I was a bit skeptical because the reviews were not good but e regime was very helpful. My dad and I purchased a large filing cabinet and they were happy to help & load it for us. Definitely a 5 start quick and easy experience. Thanks!! read more

I go here very seldom because of the abysmal level of customer service, but occasionally I'm in the area and don't want to go to another city for something. Then I'm reminded just how bad this place is! For a simple question about a product, I waited and looked and waited and looked... nothing! At least the checkout clerk wasn't as rude as she is sometimes. What I'm considering doing is lying on the floor as if I'm a dead body, to see what would happen. Problem is, I might get locked in overnight -- assuming that they bother locking the doors. The only reason I gave them one star is that Yelp! doesn't seem to work with none, and I can't find a way to post negative stars. read more

Print services has zero people skills. Tried getting pdf files that I purchased online for school work to turn in, and they said because they have a (c) for copyright they can't print. Even after showing them my receipt for PURCHASING the pdf files for personal use. They obviously have no idea how the digital age works....or don't care for that matter. When someone PURCHASES a file, it becomes theirs to print once. I wasn't trying to get 50 copies!! I will be taking my $30+/month printing business elsewhere and will be putting in a call to the general manager. read more

I went to Office Depot today, and I walked in, looked around for about 10 minutes without any help, then finally had "Maria" come up to me, holding the worst attitude and seemed to rush me out of the door. Would recommend going anywhere but this place.. read more

The OfficeMax checker we had was very friendly; however, it went downhill after that. I was assured a printer we ordered on 11/3 would be delivered on 11/4 (hubby's Birthday). Didn't come. Got an email saying our building was closed? (it was our home, not a building, and we were there celebrating his birthday sans present and were home. ) Went to tracking information, delivery date was now showing 11/5, but didn't come then either. No email to tell us. Again went to tracking info, 11/6 before 8:00 PM was now the new date and time...still didn't come! Checked tracking info yet again at 6:00 PM. New date was now 11/9!!! No emails, no nothin' to tell us it had been changed to 11/9 after we waited all day on 11/6! We called the store and talked to the manager who was very rude and just kept saying, "I can't do anything; it has shipped." So she gave us a new number, and we called. We cancelled the order and were told it would be off our charge card in 7 days. We were assured that they would stop delivery. Ok, we are thinking that we are now done. 11/9 came and went and no delivery Yea! We ordered one from Walmart, and it was delivered 2 days early--Wow! Way to Go Walmart!!. Today I get an email from Office Depot saying that there was a second attempt at delivery and no one was home to receive it so THEY were going to cancel our order. This delivery is more than a week after WE cancelled it. This is a nightmare. My husband called the 800 number and trying to talk on it was difficult because it sounded like 7 people were using the same line! So now we have to wait another 7 days to get this off our charge. I think Yelp needs to have negative stars. Needless to say I will not be shopping at Office max again!!! read more

Horrible customer service by the supposed manager Kara! Could not believe how she could be a manager with no customer service skills. Rude and really disappointing to know that Office Max does not value the way their customers get treated. Even by a manager if she even is one. read more

Dropped a prepaid fedex pkg off to them on 6/22/13. The service rep told me to leave it on the fedex counter, which I did. I didnt ask for a receipt (my own fault) because the rep said the person in charge of fedex is not there at the moment. 4 weeks later the pkg never arrived and tracking shows pkg never entered fedex system. Either they lost the pkg in that location or someone there decided to do a 5 finger discount of my PUMA box. Lesson learned. Never again. read more

Horrible customer service, was waiting in toner section for 10 minutes after asking cashier for help selecting toner for my HP laserjet - she paged over the intercom, but nobody showed up.... ended up using my smartphone to find correct toner. Could have understood if it was busy, but employees were just meandering around on a Tuesday morning. Different cashier claims she was stationed in the area and that 'it was strange' that we 'didn't see each other', she had the usual defensive manager attitude - no wonder this store is nearly empty every time I go (conveniently near pet store) - I'm thinking this store will end up closing in the next few months (if there's any justice and based on the lack of customers I could see). read more
