I dropped off a prelabeled package to be mailed via FedEx on 2/7/2024 at around 10am. The associate was beyond rude, impatient, and acted as though she had better things to do than her j-o-b. From start to finish, it took 25 minutes just to get her to 'accept' the package and print me a confirmation receipt. 25 minutes of her sour attitude and her hating the world. It is now 2/9/2024 and my package is MIA. There is no record that FedEx even received. I called the Office Max store only to be told by some guy that it wasn't their issue. The package wasn't in their store any longer so it is on FedEx. This place is trash-if you don't want to lose your packages and want someone to give you good customer service-go across I20 and go the real FedEx store....I have learned my lesson. read more

Store is empty, shelves are almost empty, and bringing in Fed Ex shipment takes 20+ minutes. Not worth your time.

Went to Office Max to get a card laminated. They refused to do it. Customer Service = "0". Went to FedEx Office, in and out in 4 minutes!! read more

If I could I would give this place a negative 1. What a incompetent group of individuals I have ever come across. I went in there for a simple exchange and they could not even do that. I waited for almost 20 minutes to be told that they could only give me exchange for one of my items. So I went to the location on Little road and with the excellent help of the staff, I was able to get exchange accomplished. I will never set foot in the location again. read more

I placed an online order to be picked up in this store. I travel a LOT for work so have done this, in various locations, many times. The store called me to verify I "really wanted to pick up the books in TX vice having them mailed to my home in VA." While I guess I appreciate the call, and had no issues with it, I do wonder how many people place such an order - to be picked up (incorrectly) in a different state. I went to the store this morning to pick up the books. There is what looks like a copy print area at the front of the store. No one was there though so I waited in line, for a long time, at the front counter. When it was finally my turn, and I stated I had a print order to pick up, the gentleman told me Copy Print was at the back of the store. Please place a sign up front indicating this so people don't waste their time standing around. I walked to the back and the one employee working was helping a customer with a specific order - they were going back and forth. Luckily the print specialist at least acknowledged me after a few minutes which gave me the opportunity to say, "I'm just here to pick up an order. It's already been paid for and everything." Two seconds later (after waiting 20 minutes) I had my books in my hand and was walking out the door. read more

Is there a half a star for the review? The customer service here is dreadful. The only reason I go is because it's the office supply store that's closest to my business. Everything is disappointing here. They text you that your order is ready when actually it's not ready. They don't put prepaid items in the bag so you have to go back twice. It's awful. I called and asked about their price matching policy..told as long as I show a screenshot or link on my phone they will price match. I was told by the store manager it didn't have to be a local store location and if she can pull it up on her phone..she would do it. So... lies after lies..still wouldn't price match. She said it wasn't available anymore..not on sale..although it was showing the price was available until 11/19. Office Max needs to provide better training especially to the store manager. If you didn't want to price match..why waste 20 minutes like you really would do it even AFTER you pulled it up on your own phone!? Just say no next time read more

Hi, all. I came here to get some DVD label copies made on their great Xerox printers. Wonderful results. Fantastic staff, very helpful and friendly. Great group of folks! As it turns out, my old HP printer was on its last legs so I thought I'd pick something up. Never a huge HP fan, I found an Epson I liked. Worked with them before, great machines. Well, the on-line display software was sort of goofy and not very intuitive, so I went back to get something else. I was told about a great HP machine with a great deal. Sold. However, even though I was ready to buy, a rep for HP, let's call her Ms. K, started to go into a sales pitch worthy of a carnival barker. Mentioned I was buying but but Ms. K just had to go on and on about the greater than God aspects of HP while destroying any other printing company. She even slammed around some Epson printers on display to show their inferior products and made a not too subtle correlation that if you buy something inferior to her standards, you too, were inferior. OK then, finally got out of there. I set it up, (and I've been in the print business for 30 years,) and everything was just too dark. Lots of people on-line had the same issues and there was no way to lighten the image. I'd have to open something up in Photoshop, lighten it and then print. Spent about an hour on the issue. But enough of that. I decided to take it back. I parked at Office Depot, and there, under the florescent lights at the front of the store, I could see Ms. K from my car. I knew there would be a blood bath if she saw me bring this back. I went in without the printer sizing up the situation. I spoke to the manager Josh, (one of the GREATEST managers of any establishment of any kind,) and he noticed my PTSD I had earned from the night before with the verbose Ms. K. He told me not to worry about her. So we put the printer in a shopping cart and brought it in. Like a sniper's scope set on a homing beacon, she spotted me and I was in a fight or flight situation. I told her the printer was too big and we couldn't figure out where to put it. That bought me a few seconds. She reminded me since it's wireless it could be anyplace and I told her we're rearranging things. She said "if you get a small printer you're going to get crappy results, again." Little surprising since it too was an HP. I ignore her. The cost of the printer was given back as a gift card. I found a Canon Pixma on sale, (which was a fantastic choice - very happy,) and decided to come back the next day when she might be gone and get it. Fortunately another victim showed up and her pitch began and I used the gift card to get the Canon and get the hell out of there. I would have been honest with Ms. K about the print quality but I knew I would have gotten another lecture and I didn't want to take the chance of her pushing my buttons to the point of being just as rude. Kudos to Josh and the rest of the staff in every respect. But watch out for Ms. K. When you walk near the printer section, start playing the theme to "Jaws" in your head and be very, very wary... read more

I had a problem with a fax and returned to the store and spoke with Tabitha, the manager on duty. She listened as I explained the problem, asked me how she could make it right. I asked for a refund and without question and with a smile, Tabitha apologized for the error and quickly corrected things. Very professional, courteous and without negative attitude. Tabitha was aces! Tabitha should be training other managers - not necessarily OfficeMax people - on what customer service is all about. read more
