I don't know why I don't learn my lesson with this location. Every time I'm here it's just a headache. No one ever knows what they're talking about and you'll get 12 different answers for the same question. Today's nonsense: called ahead to see if they offer shrinking services. I explained I had a photo collage poster that I wanted smaller to fit into a scrap book. The gal on the phone said yes they can do that. I get in and the guy behind the counter told me they can't put it through their machine because the photos will come off (which I actually doubt; they're glued down) and when I started asking questions about that he just moved onto another person. I've had mass copies done here and a few other random services but each time it's a hassle. Not to mention their drive up pick up service NEVER works. Every time I call no one answers, or they say they're too busy to come out. Just a disappointing experience every time with their printing services. Always the same guy too. Wears a mask so you can barely hear him, won't even make constant eye contact with customers, acrs so squirrely and all over the place, such a shame they can't get someone more professional in that role. read more

If you want help,locating something, good luck. I know it's the holiday season & companies are short staffed. However, there was no greeting upon entering the store. No associate would make eye contact, even when I did see one. I had to order what I needed for in-store pick up because I could t find it nor could I find someone to help me. This is problematic for me & is also the reason I stopped shopping at Staples & won't even shop online at staples. UPDATE: If you place an order online & you go into the store to pick it up. NO ONE HAS TO CONFIRM WHO YOU ARE OR WHAT YOU'RE PICKING UP. it's a free for all but Office Depot does hope its customers are more honest than to commit theft in this way. The pick up is right next to the door. There is no oversight. This will be the last time I ever place an order for pick up from this store. I'm not interested in having my goods stolen. It's simply too easy to steal. read more

We love Office Max. We have been shopping with the business over 20 years! Whether its been corporate purchases, home office, or school supplies. I have even purchased stationary here to print out party invitations. Not the least expensive place for office supplies and furniture, but they offer a lot and have really good sales if you keep your eyes peeled. We have purchased a few printers from here as well. If thry are out of what you need they will look up which location has it and call and confirm for you.. They used to even sell computers back in the day. Customer service is always great. Tonight was for some school supplies and coffee. My husband wanted to try Peet's Darkroast. It was $5 less being on sale than low cost Surpermarkets in the area so it was a perfect time. read more

I went in to print some blueprints 24 x36. Last time I did it I did the printing and paid about a sheet. This time, I was told the blue print machine is no longer self service. The employee gave me a website and said fill it out and the order will come to me. I did this. She said it would be ready in two hours. I had other stops, so I left. I came back two hours later and she says it must have gone to corporate and I cant retrieve it. It was already $5.80 a sheet and now I have to wait a week to get my plans. There's nothing very exciting (at least not for me) about an office supply store. However, when you don't want to endlessly search the general stores (often to no avail) for the right size card stock, tape, or plastic sleeves, you just can't beat this place. They greet you as soon as you are in the door and if you tell them what you are looking for they immediately tell you which aisle, what side, and what location. More school shopping yay lol. After being out most of the day I wasn't too excited about going back out in the heat for things forgotten, but school starts the next day so we had to get it done. The store was very busy with fellow last minute shoppers, but I was pleased to see so many items still available where other stores were almost completely out. Another good sight was all the e tea employees not only managing the counter, but the sales floor. We asked an employee for help finding what we needed and he even took the time to walk us directly to where it was. There was a line st check out and it moved quickly. Staff here are ALWAYS helpful. I have been coming here for about 5 years now. Staff has basically been the same and always someone who is actually willing to help you and answer questions.... no matter what. You are important to them - at least that is the feel I get. But, they do know me as I shop there a lot. Nice office max though. read more

Great prices and service and I've compared their prices to several other places. Good location in Surprise and easy parking.

So this is he third time in a row I have sent an email to the Office Max in Surprise for print services and showed up to pick up my order and it is not completed. The manage Mike today confirmed he received my request 2 days prior and apologized for the error once again. Although the apology is nice and accepted this does not change the fact that I am on my way to an important meeting and needed this printing order to have with me for the meeting. I would very strongly recommend you choose a different company for your printing / graphic needs such as Thomas Reprographics. They have never failed to deliver when promised and Office Max has NEVER delivered as promised. read more

If you want to be disappointed this is the place to go. I brought my business labels here for several years and was familiar with their quality layout etc. This time they decided to print my labels but no longer cut them to size. Staples would never leave an existing customer in the lurch like that. I had to hire two laborer's to come in and help me hand cut all of them. read more

Nice selection of office equipment. Was able to find a desk that fit our need. Had it in stock and was easy to put together.

Ugh why are copies so expensive. Why the heck do you charge twice as much to print two sheets onto one page? An increase is fair but not twice. The worker who assisted me was not very helpful on the machine. Another one watched me fumble with the cutter & mess up a bunch of my copies. One of the machines printed a line down the side of all of my copies. Hardly any customers in the store...why a line so slow to check out. One of the cashiers was so rude (short bald guy). John at this location is a cocky incompetent worker who belittles customers. He was so condescending to my 83 year old grandma making her feel bad and completely stupid. He told her he felt sorry for her because she didn't wanted to ask for my advise on what to do. He also tried to charge her $150 saying she had a Trojan on her computer when it turned out she did not. Thankfully she took the advise of me and my IT guy and not pay this amount to fix a problem that didn't even exist. Thankfully we were able to get the problem completely resolved no thanks to John!!!! This guy should be fired or at least demoted. I will never ever shop at this location ever again. Although the prices seem on the higher end as opposed to what I can supply the office with at Sams Club or Costco... Officemax most always has the hard to find items not to mention the many, many that the big clubs do not offer. read more

Learning Center, a nonprofit after-school program in El Mirage, AZ, multiple donations to support our events, and most recently, to help us start a recycling program at our apartment complex! Stopped in and was greeted at the door by an employee that asked if I needed anything. Let her know that I needed a USB/Ethernet adapter. She seemed totally puzzled by my question and asked another employee who I assumed was the manager. He told me that they absolutely do not carry it. I almost walked out and ordered on Amazon prime but something told me that an office supply store should carry something so common. Extremely disappointed with the print department. I placed an online order today the 25th, the website said same day pick up on the order. The confirmation email gave me a same day pick up time for 7:00pm the 25th (see photo below). I went in around closing time to check the status of my order. I bet you can see where this is going...the order was not ready and the manager on duty basically discredited there own online purchasing system and said they NO had control on what the confirmation email says. Its extremly unreliable and misleading. They told me there was nothing they can do to help me and there was no one to contact to express my concerns. Their return policy is quite out-dated. Clerk said he tried to help me through their system but could not pull it up. Only a 14 day window for returns and I lived out of town and know I couldn't get back to store with receipt. This clerk never offered to ask a manager to help until I insisted on it. Then she came and made my return happen. Finally! Then left the store and realized they had not given me back my credit card. It was still sitting in the processing machine!!! Hi I went to your store in Surprise, Arizona about a week ago to buy a desk upon arrival your store did not have many desk in stock, so we were told we can order online and it would be delivered on 4/22/2020, I was told someone would call to discuss times since no one called by Monday I called when I got ahold of someone they told me my desk was in back order, because of this I decided to go to the store again to pick one up and cancel my old order I was told she couldn't do it at the store that I would have to call them and since they were closed I had to wait til the next day I said fine I'll pay for this one and cancel that one....somehow the desk still came to my house when I expected it too at this point I already had another desk so I took it back to the store when I arrived I go in the store they tell me they have a new policy that they would accept ANY returns before May 5th now I'm pissed because I was never told this and now I'm stuck with 2 desks one of which I don't need....the manager comes out to repeat what her employee said I told her you told me if I wanted it I would have to buy it now and then cancel the order she made the transaction hard enough as it was then she does this?!?!? Your policy is unacceptable for people who are only buying a desk and never opening it then the manager calls the police on me because I called the policy bullshit at that point I was so pissed off I was about to wait till they got there but then I decided to tell her they have more important things to deal with than a policy argument so I waited til she was on the phone before I left this is highly disrespectful and a disgrace of customer service!!!!
