tldr: Don't bother printing here. Print quality is bad. Employees give you attitude. Unless you are desperate to have something printed don't bother printing here. Their check-in system is a meaningless step that just adds time to your wait queue. The print staff don't bother giving you options so if you do come MAKE SURE TO SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR A PRINT PREVIEW. Otherwise you'll end up with subpar printing. They don't explain what printing or paper options are available. I tried to get clarification and the employee helping me actually got up and left after I asked them if I could modify my order size and have the difference refunded. read more

I got there when the store was still open but she wouldn't accept my order to do book binding. I saw somebody do it before and it took less than 5 min to do it. Instead she wants to argue with me over about it for 10 min and not do my order. Come on and do what makes sense! Corporate need to address her. I'm starting to realise why Office Depot rarely seem busy any more. I went in with a simple drop off of a prepaid FedEx. I was told I have to sign in. After entering my cell phone number, first and last names, the screen told me I could expect a 10 minute wait or if I preferred I could reschedule an appointment for another day. Came to get ONE page print out from my email and I thought I was gonna be in and out within 5min since it looked empty. She made me sign in on kiosks I don't know for what when it was just ME in the line. Then She made me wait until it was my turn. When I finally got to her I told her I just need one page printed out. She told me I have to do it myself. Printer wanted me to swipe my credit card to begin. Weird cz normally you pay AFTERWARDS. Nothing shows for me to click on to go to next level on the printer. I look back now there are couple people waiting in line so I had to go back in line just to ask for help. I told same lady at the printing area nothing popped up on the screen I just wanna leave at this point I'm frustrated I wanna make sure they don't charge me anything. She's having an attitude. Should be 0 stars. Dont spend much time making negative reviews but this brief experience was the epitome of why stores like this will disappear. All i needed was a few color copies for fliers for my listing. There was nobody in the store and i located the copy making desk. I started walking around the roped corridor to the desk and the woman said to me can you register at the kiosk , thats how we call people up. ? What.. so i made my way back around to find the kiosk and i thought what an absolute waste of my time. So i asked how much are color copies. She just kept her head buried down on the computer. Its 11:30 am on a Sunday. You got important things to do while you are in a customer service position, so do I. I'll take my business somewhere else. The kiosk thing makes 0 sense. I do a lot of printing orders every now & then. Unfortunately, this is the most convenient location for me to pick-up online printing orders, but I think I'll start going out of my way for the other locations. There's ALWAYS something wrong. There's no point in ordering online because you will end up waiting in-store anyways. There was a time I got notified when my order was ready, but when I arrived, they spent 10 min. looking for my order wondering where it went. They decided to reprint it, but I was on a time crunch so I said I would come back tomorrow to get it. I come back the next day & they didn't print it, which meant I had to wait. Recently, I came in for an order that was ready for pick-up & once I was shown the product, I noticed that they printed it on the wrong type of paper. I, again, had to wait for them to reprint it. I was trying to pay with PayPal and your cashier was prompting me to insert a "PayPal card"!!! I told him that there is no such a thing as "PayPal Card" and he didn't know how to handle transaction. I imputed all necessary information (phone number and PIN) to finish transaction but he couldn't figure out how to close it and stubbornly trying to convince me that he couldn't close it because I need to "keep card inserted" I told him tenth time that there is not such a thing as "PayPal Card". He took me on different register and it was same thing. He called someone to help him and he "helped" him with advice: "Just input information from screen and if works- works, if doesn't - too bad." I wasn't able to put charges on my PayPal account and I had to pay with my card. And to finish conversation with smart *** "advice": "If there is no "PayPal Card" my computer wouldn't prompt me to "insert a card"!" You should train your stuff to handle transactions professionally and if your technology DOESN'T work - fix it and advise your staff about broken machines in your departments! read more

The wait is always sooooo long... I went here to get pictures printed.. after being there a hour with my new born who started crying half way through, I finally was able to leave with my order in for my pictures to be printed... I came back two days later to pick them up. When I got home the big picture was the wrong picture, they only printed one set of all the pictures when I wanted 2, and they weren't gloss! I had to go all the way back and start the lengthy process all over... instead of letting me keep the already printed picture they wasted paper and shredded them all. Then the original coupon they used wouldn't apply so I got a 15% off vs 20%... nothing for the inconvenience at all smh. Also they don't have a freaking changing table for babies! read more

Went there to buy a new laptop. The sales people looked at me while shopping, but never came over. The cashier looked at me, but did not acknowledge me and the business center looked at me, but did not offer assistance or at least send someone over. I was there for at least 20 minutes. While there a lady asked a question to the salesperson with the spiked hair & and he pointed to the computers, then went back to talking to the other associate and unloading boxes. I guess after seeing their 2 star rating, I now understand why they got it. The other Office Max stores have better ratings. Ordered a desk online to be picked up, unfortunately they didn't have the desk in stock. According to their website they had it in stock. Called the manager to see what was going on, he said it was an issue on his end. While asking if we could just have the desk delivered he seem frustrated and hung up on me. Truly unprofessional, keep in mind I was speaking to a manger. I don't understand how office max can allow their mangers to have a title if the mangers are not willing to preform manger duty's . I ordered a print online to this location. The rep at the print station - who was not wearing a name tag attempted to pull my order while helping another customer, but was unable to locate it. Another rep came to assist..who she stated was new. He found the order which had been printed on the wrong type of paper. I was asking if they could laminate my order and I would pay the difference. The rep Lacresha not only scolded the new worker for printing on the wrong paper, but was extremely rude to me. After looking at other reviews that are new it seems to be a trend. The lack of customer service at the print pickup counter by this woman was evident. Someone so miserable shouldn't be working in customer service. Been here a few times and every single time the same issue, they just need more personnel on the floor to assist customers with questions of concerns. I was in the area and needed to pick up a few home office supplies, mainly a shredder and a label maker. The paper shredders i found shortly after wondering the store for a bit but the layout of the display and the actual units werent were they were suppose to be. I settled on an Office Max light useage diamond pattern shredder that was suppose to be 49.99 but was onsale for 29.99. Directly under the display and the price tag was a completely different model for 79.99. Oh...Kay...logically shouldn't you put it UNDER the display so if anyone wants it it's right there so they can grab it? Finally found and flagged down an employee who grabbed the actual unit i wanted under the display of another model about 3 units down...yeah not exactly the most logical layout for goods. Past experiences have always been the same, i pretty much go in and loiter around the store until i find something i need or what i was looking for. Excellent customer service! I've been here twice this week for some prints. Each time I went there was absolutely no line and the associate helping me out (same girl both days) was very friendly. While printing out my papers, she would initiate random small talk with me and wish me a great day at the end of the transaction. In the past when I've been helped by other associates, I'd receive the same quality of service. Today they happened to just get in some new printers, so it took a while to setup the prints. While waiting, I browsed around the store and noticed they had a lot of great sales. Their holiday items were 50% off and they had a lot of cheap usb flash drives, like 16gb drives for $25. Great deals + great customer service = 5 stars in my book! read more

The young lady in charge of the print center doesn't handle pressure very well, she seemed to be all over the place and she is very loud and comes across obnoxious and rude. I would recommend not attend OfficeMax if you need print services done I would go to either Office Depot a Kinko's or Staples they seem to be a little more friendlier and little bit more organized I've been in the store twice and each time they've had a printer down that this doesn't come across as very good business practices. The people who work the cash registers seem to be pretty friendly but for the most part the store seems to be missing things products that I'm looking for just aren't there. read more

I'm starting to be so over this place. I been using the quick service on the app for a while now since the hole school at home started. I would pick up documents from the shelf no problem. Now I show up and it's never on shelf. Also the people before at printing were a lot more friendly and were happy to help but now every time I go, a lady by the name Lakisha Is there and not very friendly and seems annoyed about everything and make the experience very uncomfortable. You can NOT ask her a simple question because she will automatically send you the Kiosk and not in a friendly way and if she chooses to help you she will continue to say I will enter you in the system since you were not signed In. In other words telling you over and over that you didn't sign in, It's is uncomfortable because I don't even know what to say to her comments. It's been a couple times I have walked out and came at a later time to avoid her but I'm getting very tired of doing that. I understand we are all going through tough times but she is very short every time. They literally destroyed 6 posters I brought in to have laminated on 02/01/2016. Unfortunately for me I did not check them before I left, as they were rolled up and I was in a hurry so I did not look at them until the next day. When I did look at them on Tuesday morning I found the laminate was wrinkled and literally falling off of them in some parts, it can't be pulled off because it will tear the poster in other parts. Lesson learned, do not trust officemax with anything valuable, they literally destroyed my posters...unfortunately they are from Florida and can't be replaced or bought because they are no longer made (that is why I wanted them laminated, so that they would be protected (not destroyed). read more

Maybe I'm wrong, you decide. I needed toner for my Canon printer. Went online and OfficeMax had the best price, $67.99. Went to the store and the shelf said $73.99. I went to their site on my phone and verified the lower price. When I checked out, the price scanned at $71.99. I showed the cashier my phone for $67.99 and he called the manager for approval. The manager approved and said to me, "Our prices aren't the same as online." I said, "I saw that and I thought it was misleading. Why would I want to drive to a store, find the product myself and then pay more?" She said, "That's the way we do it." So I'm thinking, this isn't an affiliate, it's the same store, different location. Maybe this is how big business operates - "Caveat Emptor - let the buyer beware." Horrible customer for a woman named Joanne. I was just following directions and she was rude and treated me as though I was bothering her.

I understand we are in a pandemic but.. I drive my mothers elder neighbor around. She needed to ship something fed ex. Unfortunately with this pandemic there are restrictions on what the employees can do. I was waiting in the car for her, she was taking a while. As i was walking in the store, she was walking out. She was having a hard time using the system (she's in her 70s with arthritis) and the employees said they couldn't help her use the computer she has to type all the info in herself. Suggested she goes somewhere else. I feel like you are wearing gloves and a mask, you can help her use the computer. So here we are waiting 12 mins for them to call her again so I can help her use the computer. Even after the lady seen that she was back and was just here having issues! No service in customer service! By the way I have no issues helping her. Just annoying we have to wait all over again for me to help her!! Excellent customer service, great, friendly smiles, and the staff always asks for help. A week ago I came in to look at some messenger bags, found one I liked, but didn't buy it. I come back today, having done some research and pick the same bag, and ask them if they could price match the same bag ($16 difference) that they had online. They accomodated my request and I ended up buying some more essentials. Veve was my associate and she was amazing, friendly, and very helpful. I was so impressed with her and the other staff's service that I will be more than willing to come back to this store to browse for my business needs. This store is in a nice area, is always well stocked, and very organized. I have been picking up copies for over 2 years now, and the reason being is because of the unprofessionalism of certain employees behind the service counter. They do not acknowledge you such as " I'll be right with you" you just have to try to make eye contact and hope an employee makes eve contact back. Well that was the main reason why I started dong the grab and go pick up copies so i would not have to deal with such rude employees. This morning was a little different, NATE the so called store manager decided he was going to be rude and not assist as a manager should. I walked over to the grab and go to pick up my copies since i received the text that they were ready, but when I walked over i checked and I didn't see my copies, so I went over to the counter and told NATE that my copies were not there and if they could be behind the counter which sometimes the employee will leave your copies behind the counter. NATE said he didn't know and that the employee that handles copies would not be in until 10:00am, so I guess NATE thought I was going to wait until 10:00am to get my copies. All the while NATE is assisting another woman which I thought worked there she had the same colors on as him so I assumed she worked there also, but after a few minutes I realized she was a customer getting 300 pages copied. You would think since NATE the manager was waiting on a 300 page copy order he could advise the customer that while thats printing he will assist me and quickly check for my 2 page copies and send me on my way, well noooooo, I guess he decided he was going to make me wait and not multi-task and have one less customer.After he finished with the customer, I told him to look behind the counter he did that, but they were actually at the end of the counter not bagged in the normal brown paper bag the copies come in, I asked him why were my copies not protected he said maybe the employee from last night didn't think it as important enough to bag. I advised him my copies are important it had sensitive information on the sheets. NATE could care less, as I walked out I said you need to learn customer service NATE, and he told me to go to another store! I called him a choice word and walked out. I am going to give NATE the benefit of the doubt that he most likely hates his job, probably doe not get paid what he should as a manager, but what I will not tolerate from any employee or manager, is the discourteous and the do not give AF attitude.
