DJ…read morecorrectly diagnosed a failing liquid cooler -- the CPU was hitting 100°C and throttling constantly - and the opportunity to install intake fans. His tech came to my residence to pick up the unit, replaced the AIO, replaced the failing exhaust fan, added intake fans the case had been missing, did a good job cleaning, reseated the GPU, and delivered the repaired and upgraded unit to my residence. Afterward I verified the numbers myself using HWiNFO: CPU down to the 70s, no more throttling, GPU running cool too. Frank, thorough diagnosis, fair price, and the fix actually worked. Unfortunately, the biggest issue has not just been the wait. It has been the repeated excuses, inconsistent communication, and promises that my PC would be shipping soon. I have been told multiple times that my order was being looked into, that it would be shipping soon, or that I would be updated shortly. Each time, I patiently waited, only to end up having to follow up again. What makes this even more frustrating is that after not hearing from them, I mentioned that I was interested in spending additional money to upgrade my PC. I suddenly received a response almost immediately, and then I was told they were going to hold off on shipping. That honestly left me confused. If my PC was supposedly close to shipping, why was shipping suddenly being held? Why was I repeatedly told it would be shipping soon before this? I have also started reading through other reviews and noticed that other customers are describing very similar experiences, including being given the same repeated explanations and having to continuously follow up. I have now seen reviews from customers who ordered after me apparently receiving their PCs sooner, which raises even more questions about how orders are being prioritized. I have also seen reviews suggesting that negative reviews are suddenly receiving attention when customers are asked to remove them. If that is actually happening, that is extremely disappointing. Customers should not have to leave a negative review just to get their order addressed. I completely understand that PC builds can experience delays. What I do not understand is being told repeatedly that my order is almost ready, receiving little to no proactive communication, and then being given explanations that contradict what I was previously told. At this point, I am not asking for special treatment. I am asking for honest communication, transparency, and fair treatment as a customer who placed an order months ago. I have been patient far longer than I think most customers would have been, but my patience should not be mistaken for being okay with being repeatedly given the same answer. I genuinely hope this gets resolved, but based on my experience so far, I'm not sure.
