The shipping/delivery company Office Depot hires to do the delivery (Veyer?) is terrible. Every time I order something from Office Depot online, the items are delayed for at least a week, sending you conflicting information (saying it was delivered but it was not). When you call Office Depot's helpdesk, agents are friendly but can't resolve the issues. They just tell you to wait for a few more days. I will never buy from Office Depot again anymore. read more

Customer service was very poor. I had trouble finding what I was looking for so I asked politely for assistance. The salesperson didn't seem interested in assisting me, just giving me vague directions to the department. I explain that I had looked around that area a couple times but couldn't seem to find what I was looking for. His tone was annoyed so I said thank you and left. Today I went to the Print Shop inside of Office Depot and the young lady working was incredible. She not only worked quickly but she took her time to answer questions and did multiple prints until I was satisfied. She helped multiple customers while I was there and had amazing customer service. This place is pretty pathetic when it comes to basic customer service skills. My wife and I went in one day to pick up a binder and some computer ink, we found what we were looking for and got in line. There was a lady in front of us with 3 of the employees asking them for things. I'm assuming the supervisor pointer her to the direction because the 2 cash register employee sat there aimlessly. She went to find the extra items she was looking for 5mins go by and the 3 employee are in front of us talking. Not even acknowledging us the customer as we waited. Then all of a sudden one of the cash register employee tells the supervisor "show we help the customer". That is probably the most idiotic thing I have ever heard from a retail employee. So we walk up and not even a "my apologies for the wait, did you find everything ok?" We pay and leave. During that time we weren't even 2 feet away from the cash resister. I normally don't make a big deal out of it but that was plan Pathetic. read more

We were only there for a few minutes before we went up to the check lane where he was kind enough to check us out. Extremely helpful, and personable printing services. The man who was working behind the counter (wish I could remember his name ). Really showed an affinity for being able to read the customer's mood and act in a manner that resulted in me leaving feeling confident compared to the depressed state that I was in when I walked in. A pep talk, small favors, and a positive pay it forward attitude really helped me mentally before turning in a crucial resume and interview for an important internship that could really decide my quickly approaching academic and professional future as an engineer near graduation from Cal Poly. read more

Excellent customer service! I bought an office chair ten days ago and broke the back of it within just a couple days. I returned the chair today, armed with my receipts, hoping I was still within store exchange period and wouldn't have to deal with the manufacturer instead. Not only did the store manager take care of the problem, there was no paperwork whatsoever. He looked at the chair and told me he had another one already assembled. Less than 5 minutes later it was loaded in my car and I was back on the road. Wow! Real customer service still exists. So long Staples ... Office Depot just gained a loyal customer. read more

Went in today as the last resort to find party favor tags for a baby shower that I wanted personalized. I had been to several stores with no help from the workers They either had no knowledge or were just rude. The minute I went to counter to look at the book for personalize tags, cards etc lesyle asked if she could help me and she answered all my questions and took lots of time with me and helped me make the PERFECT party favor tags. She was very sweet and knowledgeable and patient! She made my day!!! read more

Brought in a laptop for a data transfer as the hard drive had failed. Called for an update and the technician said he was having difficulty opening the laptop to access hard drive. After a brief conversation he said he would call me back after he tried a little more. About an hour late he called back and claimed he couldn't get the laptop open at all without breaking it. He claimed he was watching videos on YouTube and couldn't figure it out. This was very unprofessional and I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I am giving two stars as it relates to their online ordering and "pick-up in store" option. It's so inefficient! First, you wait in a special line to pick up your item (which has already been paid for, by the way). But instead of handing you the item and maybe showing ID or the credit card you used, they send you over to the regular check out line (wait in line #2) to "sign some paperwork"!! So you are number six in that line and when you finally get up to the cash register, they have you sign your name, print your name, get out your drivers license so they can scan your ID, and then sign the electronic card reader! It's just ridiculous. I paid one dollar extra for my item than if I had ordered it from Amazon because I wanted it today instead of waiting two days. Next time I will wait the two days! I had came in very early morning right when they had opened a young man (has a beard, looks around 20 years old) had greeted me and asked if i needed help i just needed direction to the daily planners he guided me to them and was very kind. After he asked if i needed more assistance and i said no thank you I'm fine, so he went on his way to continue his job.. After i picked out a planner i forgot i needed assistance with picking out a hard drive for my laptop i searched around for the young gentlemen but i couldn't find him so i asked a young girl (long black hair, looked around 18/19) i asked her for assistance and she was very rude did not care to help me at all, so i just said never mind... I had to figure out myself. This business is very cleanly and has 2 members of the staff who are helpful and sweet the young man with the beard Alfred i belive his name was and another man Victor i believe his name was as well, you can tell they cared about there jobs.. Sadly to say though the young woman of the business show they don't give two turds. read more

This store has an EXTREMELY BAD COSTUMER SERVICE!!! This is the second time and LAST that I come here. Employees are very UNHELPFUL, RUDE, AND STUPID. I gave them a second change but I made a big mistake coming back. All of the employees are busy talking to each other instead of helping their costumers. This time there was an elderly man trying to print images and NO ONE went to help him out, when someone finally approach him after 10 mins of waiting he politely said he was living. The DUMB employees laughed and didn't care at all. And all those people who score them a 5 I'm sure is the same DUMB EMPLOYEES that work there. read more

This review is specifically for the female supervisor of the Office Depot print center. I have been to the print center about 4 times this year for small, easy design and print projects. Unfortunately, 3 out of the 4 times, I had to work with the female print shop supervisor who is actually very proficient and has a good skill set when it comes to using the design software. The major problem, which I'm sure others have also encountered, is her inability to do her job with a positive and welcoming attitude. Every single time I've been in to work on a project with her, all I hear is how overworked she is, how the print shop is too busy and understaffed, how tired she is, how she's already working overtime and burned out. There's always a tense and chaotic atmosphere of "the sky is falling" while she is behind the counter. Working with her has proven to be a stressful and awkward experience which probably leaves some customers feeling guilty for having inconvenienced her at the worst possible time (which seems to be anytime she's working). I believe she is actually a nice person, but she's in the wrong position. If a company employee makes it a habit of expressing how difficult his/her working conditions are, how overworked he/she is, how many hours he/she has already put in for the day, how he/she probably wouldn't even do a great job on your project at this point in the day because of the severe degree of burnout he/she is currently experiencing, then I'd say it's probably time to change the face and environment of your print department. Like I said before, she has a good skill set and has the ability to be proficient in what she does, but friendly, cheerful, welcoming customer service skills are not her strong suit. After this most recent and unfortunate encounter with the Office Depot print center supervisor, I ended up taking my business elsewhere and found a polished, family owned, professional copy & print company on South Broadway with excellent graphic designers and customer service to take care of my project and all future projects. read more
