To be truthful. I didn't even realize that there were still any of these stores in Memphis. I called ahead to see if I could turn in a bunch of ink cartridges that I had been saving. I asked if our original perks number was still good. I was told that I could bring in the cartridges and that my perks # should be good. They didn't have but two or three people working during rush hour and only one was a cashier. My former perks # was not in the system anymore. The young man at the register was very nice and tried to help me but the antiquated register was uncooperative. Now I know why I thought they didn't exist here anymore. read more

Went in looking for a privacy screen for my monitor. I was greeted immediately upon walking in. They didn't have what I was looking for but the employee offered a couple of suggestions as to where I could find it. Good customer service. He could have just told me they didn't carry the item and moved on. Great job Office Depot. I'll be back. read more

I went to office depot this morning & waited for 40 minutes while the clerk smacked gum like he has done many times before & took his time knowing that a line was waiting for him, didn't call anyone to assist him. I finally left & the person behind me did also. This has happened more than once. Supervisors should tell tell employees to spit out the gum & give better service. I dropped by this Poplar Avenue location for a quick print and laminating job. The nice young lady immediately greeted me and asked what she could do to help me. I explained what I needed done and she commenced to completing this job with gusto! I went and walked around the store looking for items and sale. Before I knew it, she was finished! My print job was completed perfectly and with far less hassle then their competitors. read more

The absolute worst customer service! The morning manager named Chris retracted on a promise another manager had made. They hire 3rd party companies to deliver, they're a rip off by the way "Shipt", and it's Office Depot who hires them and they don't check the credibility of their drivers and then a Office Depot doesn't want to fix their mess! They shouldn't offer services that they won't live up to or deliver honestly to their customers. Customers aren't ordering from 3rd party customers we are ordering from Office Depot and they will not help you or honor their nesses! And when you go in to resolve it you're confronted with incompetent managers! If I gave a star it's only because a star needs to be marked in order to put in your request. read more

Recently I was assigned the task from my Retirement group to upgrade our computer. Criss as well as David R worked diligently over a period of weeks to get all my problems resolved. Thank you both for knowing your tech stuff and being patient. This is a nice location. It's clean, the staff is helpful -- nothing out of the ordinary -- your office supply warehouse to get everything that you need to outfit yourself in the workplace. I do have a bone to pick with their cheap store brand ballpoint pens. They tend to dry out very quickly -- I'd skip them. I usually stock up on their labels -- great selection of Avery labels for just about anything. They have a good selection of chairs -- I purchased a red chair a few years back and it's still in good shape. read more

An office supply emergency is the only reason I stop in Office Depot. The staff is uninformed lack professionalism. What does "no problem" mean after someone says, thank you? Let me tell you. No problem means I will have no problem shopping for office supplies from a local provider. I went to Office Depot looking for a specific pen and asked an associate. For some reason Office Depot is one of the stores to expect prompt service wanting to know if you need help. However the staff tonight barely even spoke. The cashier was not polite at all to deal with on just a simple return and purchase. Not sure how many use YELP for things other than restaurants but my experience here made it necessary to write a review. This place is awful! I needed about 100 copies made and then shipped out that day. Easy, right? Well, not exactly. I walked in the place at 3:30 and was not out of there until 4:30. There were 10 employees hovering around various parts of the store in their red shirts and only 4 other customers there besides me. The staff outnumbered the customers by a 2-1 margin! Simba was behind the counter and for her sake I hope it was her first day on the job. I learned from her that people would be "Stupid" to come in to the store between 12:30 and 3:30 because of how busy. After making the copies she clearly had no idea of how to use the shipping process. I was surrounded with signs that said to let Office Depot handle all my shipping needs. HA! Again, it was an hour of pure hell watching her butcher the process. UPS ground envelopes would "not work" according to her. I would have to go to aisle 6 to buy envelopes she said. After finding envelopes in aisle 4 she told me that she didn't know how much it was because the UPC scan bar was obstructed. I could go on and on and on. It was awful. And keep in mind the UPS and USPS people swing by the store at 4:00pm for their last pick up. I watched both of them come and go will I watched Simba fumble around with my order. If in Memphis and you need to make copies or ship something I would stay out of this joint! read more
