BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT DO BUSINES WITH WEST ELM…read more Worst service of any furniture provider I have ever worked with. Placed an order for tens of thousands of dollars of furniture. Had to spend no less than 30 hours on the phone trying to correct errant deliveries, items that were broken, etc. Multiple items are falling apart after 8-10 months and West Elm is denying any responsibility and declining to help in any way. I will never buy furniture from West Elm again, and would caution anyone from doing so. Desks have paint chipping at every seam 10 months later, leather chairs have metal and wood poking through the backs of them. West Elm says this is normal wear and tear. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

She was patient and knowledgeable. She looked up things online to help us make our decision. We ended up making a purchase only to come back and exchange it out for the purchase of items only available online. Alex handled everything, the return, and the online purchase- and she made sure to use the free online shipping code! We will definitely be back not only to work on our next home re-do project, but also to shop for gifts. You owe it to yourself to at least walk through this store one time before making your final decisions on your next project.

Today, it was my first time going to this store, as soon as I step foot in, staff cordially greeted me and offered to help me if needed. That's when I learned they don't have flowers unless it's a special holiday or occasion. Anyhow, I proceeded to look around and they have a good variety of things you can purchase as gifts for any occasion. Another staff member saw me standing in front of a selection of willow tree figurines and graciously made herself available. I got everything I needed and need to emphasize how good my experience was. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone as well

The product looked nice, pricing was ok, but when I asked a sales person about the style springs they use in the seat, rather than tell me they didn't know, they were very condescending and asked "if my mother told me to ask that".... A. My mother is dead B. I have worked in the furniture industry for 20 years. I know when I'm clean shaven, I may look young, but there's no reason for a sales person to ever talk down to a customer because of their age, especially if they work on commission. Either way, we left, I will take my business elsewhere.

Second impression, second visit, they close at Noon on Saturday. I find this out as I return to pick up my item that I left at "first impression" and walk in at 11:50 to be told, "we're closing." I was only there to Pick up my item! Still couldn't help, as they "had to close" I work 8-6 Mon-Fri, so Saturday's are my only chance to get to this place because they're not open past 6:00, only now to find out they don't want you there even when there's still 10 min left for them to be open, hence you being an inconvenience to them. 3rd impression, I arrive early today, Saturday, well before noon, to only find a sign on the door saying they're Closed due to the 4th of July and won't open again until the 13th. I completely understand people have vacations, but how about you UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE, so customers like me don't have to drive that far only to find out they're closed from a piece of paper. Once I'm able to pick up my item, there won't be another impression. Sadly I was told by others this is how they operate with the attitude and no sense of urgency, but I ignored based on they're the one place around that apparently repair a certain brand. It's like they know this and operate that way. More than frustrated.

Hard to find those anymore unless you head down Bessemer Avenue to McKnight Hardware. That place is Mom and Pop through and through. I have been going to McKnight Hardware since I moved to this neighborhood over 20 years ago and the staff rarely changes. The store is incredibly convenient and although I've never priced compared them with a Walmart or Home Depot, I'm happy to pay the price and support the OG hardware store in the area. Over the years I have seen many young men and women who started as teen helpers become cashiers and managers. The place has a family feel and the staff always knows exactly what they are talking about! It's also my go-to when I need to make some keys! I can always count on McKnight for whatever my needs are. Whether I'm looking for bird seed or glue or paint or a nail, they have it! I recently bought my weed whacker from them and I love how they are right down the street from me if I need it to be serviced, which I recently did. They used to have a pretty extensive garden nursery but it has slowed down over the years. In the early years I was even able to buy some lily pads! Lol But all of your other departments are well stocked and well priced and it's so nice to have a staff person that knows what they are talking about! There is plenty of parking right up front and it's conveniently located on Bessemer Avenue. I encourage you to patronize this place. It breaks my heart to see so many wonderful stores like McKnight Hardware shut down and give way to the big chains. We want to keep places with that Mom and Pop feel and this place deserves to continue to serve this neighborhood for years to come!
