Another item we were suggested to try was the killer baked potato. So beef, it was a nice smoky bbq but not my personal favorite and a little tough. Killer potato loaded with bbq was actually really good. This is a low cost bbq that could be enjoyed frequently. The building is small with counter service and no indoor seating. There are a few tables outside to enjoy your meal. The staff was super friendly and we were served quickly. This would not be my choice to go out for a big ole bbq dinner, however if it feels like a fast food night? Dixie would be a great alternative.

BBQ sauce wasn't even needed. Meatloaf sandwich: 3.5* Meaty slice but quite dry, it needed the sauce Sampler (because we wanted to try all the meats): 4* pulled pork - great flavor, goes well with the BBQ; beef sausage - casing had a good snap to it and deep flavor; Rib tips - our least favorite, they were tough/chewy. Four sides: 4.5* Smokey Mac n cheese - creamy and not overly smoked, really well done! Ranch baked beans: flavor on point and beans nicely cooked. Pasta salad: what a delicious surprise! A variety of ingredients, not boring at all! Okra - hot and crispy and a HUGE portion. Not sure how they stayed crispy on the drive home. They were a little greasy but that was the only negative. Plenty of parking and you can sit in your car with a buzzer while you wait. There is also picnic tables to eat outside if you wish. A young man and a lady handled our order and were friendly and efficient. We will be back!

The price for the food was okay - pricier than other places but the portions were generous. The meat was tender and juicy but there's no smoky flavor or smoke ring. It doesn't even smell smoky around the restaurant. It was also not really seasoned. We tried pork, brisket, and chicken. Nothing bad but nothing great. The baked beans and macaroni and cheese deserve accolades though and bump a star. We did try the nachos and the chips were pretty bland and disappointing. Overall I think the meats need better seasoning as things tended towards bland. Maybe we went on an off day. It was around 2 p.m. and we were the only people there. We were pretty hyped to try it because of the reviews but left a bit disappointed. For comparison, we're huge BBQ fans - like Lewis, Wright's, SAW's, etc. so maybe it's just not our style. I love smoky, well seasoned meats.
