Love the decor here with all the eggs and yolk touches. I hadn't been to OEB in a while, so the menu felt a little new to me, but there was lots of good stuff to choose from. I went with the breakfast tacos and really enjoyed them. Service was very friendly too. Great breakfast spot. read more

I ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat Benny. I expected brisket but got more of corned beef, but I'm also not from Canada so maybe that's why! But either way it was tasty. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the potatoes were so soft on the inside. It was a good serving size too. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. We walked in on a Sunday without a reservation and got seated almost immediately. read more

I love OEB, it's reliable, especially for us gluten free folk. Swung in here before a cheer competition and while we had a bit of a wait, everything else was speedy. The hostess was honestly impressive; kind, efficient, and somehow managing a revolving door of customers, food delivery people, and delivering food. I had the GF waffle with bacon and eggs. Perfection. And a large side of fruit that sealed the deal. The blueberry chicken bangers are absolutely a must try, by the way. read more

Food is always good and the service is friendly and fast. I would highly recommend this location!

There was nothing really bad about this place, but I wasn't really wowed by anything either. The decor was cute, the service was good, and the food was decent. I had the waffle which I feel wasn't worth $16. It had an unusual texture than what I'm used to. I also had a fried egg, breakfast potatoes, and rosemary ham, which was just 3 warmed slices of deli meat. It was all just ok and I wouldn't eat here again unless there was no better place around. read more

I tried the breakfast tacos and they are definitely the most delicious tacos I have ever eaten. I downloaded yelp just to review this place. Also must add that the ingredients are sourced from only Canada. Great service as well. read more

I had the waffle with bacon cooked right in and I was blown away. Second time I've eaten there and it gets better every time!!!

We walked in for brunch on a weekday morning and were excited to try their interesting poutine and Benedict options. Unfortunately, nothing hit the mark. The hollandaise sauce was thin, bulgogi was too sweet, and poutine was a bland mess. It was all edible, just not enjoyable. We left a lot of food on the table and wouldn't be eager to recommend this spot. read more

OEB Breakfast Co. - Kelly Ramsey Review Visited on a Sunday morning with our group of four -- as expected, the place was packed! Pro tip: definitely use Yelp to get on the waitlist about an hour ahead. I checked in early, so even though there was a 45-minute quote, we only waited about 15 once we arrived. Ambience & Service: The vibe here is great -- stylish, lively, and full of energy. Service was friendly and prompt throughout our meal. A solid start with some good coffee and the premium orange juice, which was fresh and flavorful. Food Rundown: * I had the Blue Crab Eggs Benedict -- served on a croissant, which was a nice touch. The crab was tasty, but I did get a small bit of shell, and the portion size wasn't huge. Overall, decent but not amazing. * My wife ordered the French Toast and wasn't a fan -- it had a hint of orange flavor that didn't quite land for her. Our son finished it off and thought it was okay, just not a standout. * Our son also had the Traditional Eggs Benny (also on a croissant), which he enjoyed. Worth Noting: We've been to another OEB location before and had their breakfast poutine, which we all preferred over what we had this time around. Final Thoughts: Still a great brunch spot with a fun atmosphere and solid service. Might just choose different menu items next time. Worth the visit -- just plan ahead if you're coming on the weekend! read more

I was really excited at trying this restaurant but was really disappointed. I ordered the Buttermilk Pancakes and a side of Potatoes through Door Dash. The pancakes were really dense and flavourless. I could barely get past the first bite. Tossed them out into the trash. What a waste and disappointment! Side potatoes were just fried potatoes that you would get at any deli or from your grocery freezer. They were a bit more edible. I managed to eat some. Had to eat something as I was just recovering after spending some time in the hospital. Not sure how their other breakfast items are but this was a huge disappointment! read more

Love OEB. It's my favourite go-to breakfast place. I've tried a wide range of items and each has always exceeded my expectations.

Love OEB! I prettymuch always get the ahi poutine-it's delish. The service has always been good. It's a little pricey for brunch but the food is not something I can easy make at home so I feel like it's worth it. read more

We came here our first Saturday morning in Edmonton. Yelp waitlist and we were seated almost immediately! The service from Christopher was top notch! He made sure to let us know the area of Edmonton, and even gave us some tips on places to visit! He was very well spoken, and knew the menu well. Unfortunately, their Latte machine was down, but the food made up for that! I ordered the breakfast poutine with bacon, hollandaise, and poached eggs, and it was incredible! The music and overall feel to this restaurant is very welcoming. The only unfortunate part was having quite a few homeless people coming in and out of the restaurant, one homeless man tried walking into the kitchen and then sat in the booth next to us. Luckily security was able to get him out fairly quickly, but this happened a few times during our meal. Other than that this place is 10/10. Thank you Christopher! read more

The place is cutely decorated with some obvious flair for chickens and eggs! There's a lot of types of seating! Inside and outside available! The staff seem a little all over in customer service! Barely saw our server, but there were a lot people to help us! The food was completely different than anything I've ever eaten, IN A GOOD WAY!!! Delicious!!! The iced tea I had was fresh and tasty! Clean restrooms! Street parking in downtown is sparse, but not impossible! read more

Delicious poutines. Best croque madame ever. Large portions are good for sharing but why would uou want to? This local chain originated in calgary and i always had to wait over an hour to get a seatat this amazing brunch spot. Probably 10 years later andits still the same if not even busier bc more people know about it now. My favourite brunch spot in Yeg. I personally like this location out of all the Edmonton locations because the staff are a bit more friendlier here. Food is instagram picture perfect but also tastes amazing. I love the classic gold digga poutine which is drenched in hollandaise sauce. But I think my favourite dish is the croque madame. They use manchego cheese!!! My pro tip is to get a side of potatoes and share a poutine bc it is alot for just one person. And if you're still hungry order another dish and share it. Everything is good here. Farm fresh eggs. Fresh veggies. Local breads. And the best hollandaise. If you are looking to brunch in edmonton or calgary this is the place to go to. Don't miss it!!! read more

Food was good, on par with other OEB locations in the city. Service was horrendous. Our server showed up 20 minutes after we were seated to asked if we wanted waters, then had another guy bring it to us 5 minutes later. Give another 10 minutes before the original server came back to finally take our orders. During the half hour time it took for this guy to show up we saw another table by us also get ignored by the same server. But they were fortunate enough to get the attention of some other workers to get their orders in, while my partner and I sat there looking like part of the restaurant decor instead. What's even more interesting, our server was attentive and engaging to his other tables, he just couldn't be bothered to interact with us and the one other table. Won't be back to this location, I'd rather make the extra drive for the 124th St. location. read more

The lobster and shrimp crepe is DELICIOUS. Who would've known seafood and eggs in a crepe, with some absurdly yummy sauce on top was going to turn into one of my most favorite brunch items? I would've lost that bet. Mimosas come in at $7 with 4 different juice choices, along with some other alcoholic bevvies, if you are feeling it. I chose the option that sounded delicious but also the most unique, and OEB came through and did not disappoint. read more

Joined the waitlist through Yelp on a Saturday afternoon. Party of 2 and the wait wasn't long at all... maybe 2 mins! Everyone was so kind, our server Christopher was awesome!! He recommended some good local spots for us to see while we were in Canada. I ordered some fresh OJ and the classic breakfast. Their latte machine was down which was a bummer, but the food was so delicious it made up for it. My scrambled eggs were incredible, the server added some fresh cracked pepper and I ate them on my sourdough rye bread! YUM!! The bacon & potatoes were SO GOOD! I had a side of fresh fruit & a whole avocado. The portions were perfect here. I ate everything on my plate! It's a very cozy feel in here with cute decor, grass, mirrors and more. The only downside was how many homeless people kept coming in and disturbing the staff- one tried to go in the kitchen then sat right next to me. It caused quite the scene but security was quick to kick them out. It was a bit disturbing so I guess that's expected with every downtown city wherever you go. I would come back to this location based on the food and service alone. Keep up the amazing work! 10/10! read more

This is one of my go-to breakfast places when I have a meeting downtown. I always make a reservation as it can get busy. It's usually not too bad that I can overhear conversations at tables nearby. I have had the salmon eggs benedict and classic breakfast with blueberry chicken bangers. Both were very tasty breakfast choices that didn't leave that heaviness of a greasy spoon-type breakfast. I also liked that the food isn't based on big breakfast huge portions but a balance of good food that's filling and not fat-laden. I will definitely go back again! read more

This is one of the finest breakfast/brunch places in YEG. It is hard to find a seat here, so I recommend making reservations. The staff is gear and super friendly. Their food is delicious and healthy. I tried A-Lott-A-Lakks bowl, potatoes were crisp, eggs were a perfect medium with a runny yolk and the salmon was delicious as always. Great place to sit in downtown and Windermere, with lots of sunlight. Take your visitors! read more

Yelp wait list feature worked great on a busy Sunday morning. The place was packed but everything went smoothly. The decor is cute with egg light fixtures and airy modern touches. Our party of 4 ordered different items from crepes to waffles to scramblettes and all were delicious. The lattes were fast to come out and tasty. A little weird they leave salt on the tables but you have to ask for pepper. Worth the wait for a nice brunch with friends. read more

I have been wanting to try OEB for ages.... Never seem to be able to get in, it's sooo popular. I had a weekday off and waited until after lunchtime and was able to walk in to the downtown location. It lived up to the long awaited, much ado'd expectations. The place is open airy, tables comfortably far enough apart, bright, busy, background noise but not so much that it's overwhelming, table talk was just fine. Parking on the street is paid or in a nearby parkade. The food was awesome. I had the croque madame and companion had the perogies and duck. I should mention that the water was really good, perhaps it's distilled. Portions are large. The service was lovely, friendly, attentive and efficient. I look forward to going back to try other things on the menu. read more

I've been here a number of times now and I've honestly been quite happy. I mean I do love breakfast food and not only does this restaurant have a good array of options for the diverse crowd that I have brought here, but the service is quick and good, the food is delicious, and the location is centrally located with ample parkade options nearby and transit options as well. At an easy walking distance from many downtown offices and whatnot this is a great place for a workday brunch or lunch and the food is quite good. I don't come here quite frequently enough to have picked up gift certificates for this place but I'm half tempted to buy some as it really truly is delicious. read more

We sat out on the patio on a beautiful Sunday morning. The food was, as always, incredible. Large portion and nice and hot. The biggest problem with our visit was the service. Our server could have cared less about us. I had to ask 3 times for a coffee refill and she forgot cutlery when she brought us food and left us waiting almost 10 minutes with food in front of us, but no cutlery. I think next time we'll try a different location. read more

While I've been to other OEB locations multiple times, I recently visited the downtown location for the first time and was happy to find out that it meets the same high standards other locations have set for me. The space is bright with high ceilings and has a great, comfortable vibe for brunch. OEB is always busy so make sure to get there early if you want to be seated right away. You can also join the waitlist on Yelp before you get there which will save you some waiting around time. The first big win for me was the pineapple grapefruit oasis drink I had with my meal. I wasn't in the mood for alcohol but this flavourful mocktail really hit the spot. I'm definitely going to try to recreate it at home. Choosing a breakfast item was a bit tougher as I am currently doing the "veganuary" challenge so options were limited but I ended up being very happy with the chia seed pudding. Even if you aren't vegan, it's a great option if you want something fruity and light. My husband enjoyed one of their breakfast poutines. Heads up to vegans/vegetarians - their hashbrowns are cooked in beef tallow by default so make sure to specifically request vegetarian potatoes when you place you order. In the past they used duck fat so I'm a bit curious why they switched to beef. read more

Food was amazing, door guy was so accommodating, waitress so funny and kind (Krissy? I think?)

Great spot to grab some food! A nice and quaint spot to catch up with friends or even grab a bite alone. Our server Ethan was so friendly and kind! We went for a family day brunch, and nothing was the same, they changed the menu and with that the quality of the dishes. Same plates with lower quality does not make sense and of course the taste won't be there. Our favorite plate there was the Golden digger, and we were amazed for how big the pork chunks were and the duck fat used to fry the potatoes, but this time really nothing tastes the same. it was a total disappointment ! read more

I came for brunch on November 11 with my mom. I was glad to see they were open on this holiday as many places are closed that day. We were celebrating my birthday so it was definitely a treat to eat here. Practically everything the cook is cooked in duck fat which makes the food taste absolutely amazing! We got the Florentine Benny (vegetarian) and The One That Did Not Get Away (smoked salmon) Benny. We shared them so we each got one of each. Needless to say they were both delicious!! I personally enjoyed the vegetarian option better but I still liked the smoked salmon as well. The egg was perfectly poached too! We had coffee, they did not have oat milk but they did have almond milk which is great. We also ordered mimosas which were delicious and they had several flavours. Overall it was a delicious treat to eat here. They do have "healthier" options as well if you're not into the duck fat but for me that's part of the joy! The duck fat frites are delicious, especially with the egg yolk! The best part? You can make reservations or sign up for the waiting list right on your Yelp app! We had made a reservation and thank goodness we did because the restaurant was busy and there was a line of people waiting outside. Luckily we arrived and were shown to our table right away, no waiting. It was a great experience, friendly service as well. read more

Food was fantastic, I got a basic "Threesome". The food was made without error for myself and my table. We had two people servicing our table, assuming the young lady was still getting into the rhythm. There was some miscommunication between the servers at times. I first sat down and wasn't spoken to for 10 mins, I had asked for waters for the table and only received 2/4, our food was missing a few things which got fixed quickly, and waiting for the opportunity to ask for the bill, another 10 mins later. I feel they may need more support from a manger, it felt like they were being rushed and unable to connect with our table properly and effectively. Both servers were LOVELY! They were kind and generous, just wished we saw them more. read more

Great food! Our first time in. Had the Montreal smoked meat Benny. Was great! Absolutely will be back

Today is our twins' 21st birthday so I selected OEB Breakfast for our meal out. We started out at 10:00 while watching the Yelp waiting list tool. It said immediate seating until we were half way and then suddenly it said there was a 15-20 minute wait. My wife quickly added her name to the list. We arrived around 10:30am and were told the wait would be at least 20 minutes. The fellow managing the list seemed to be very efficient. Eventually we were assigned a table that comfortably handled the five of us. Water and coffee arrived quickly which allowed us to focus on the extensive menu of unique sounding dishes. I decided on the Waffle and Duck which was $20. My son ordered the Rabbit Benny for $19. Their grandmother ordered the Waffle and Laks (Smoked Salmon) which was $21. However she found it to be a bit dry and asked for some syrup. They added $2.50 to the bill for her syrup which was surprising. I enjoyed my duck but here too a bit more syrup would have been nice. Overall we each enjoyed our dishes but mine was probably the best of the lot. The flavour was not as spectacular as the appearance but they were still tasty and satisfying. If you don't need coffee with your breakfast you might want to consider heading next door to Credo for a very deluxe coffee as OEB's coffee was mediocre at best. However, the coffee mugs were large and my cup never reached critically low levels as the service was very good. During breakfast I prefer large quantities of coffee over the quality of the brew so this was not a problem for me. If you only drink the best coffee, Credo next door is your solution. I appreciated that they kept the sound levels under control so that we could enjoy a good visit and conversation. It wasn't quiet but compared to some places it sound level was reasonable. OEB was a very unique breakfast or brunch experience. I think that everyone who enjoys a special dining experience should try OEB at least once and maybe several times. read more
