There are dividers between each lane, unlike other chain axe throwing venues, ensuring accidental throws do not endanger others. The targets are projected onto the backboards, providing endless opportunities for different targets and games. You will never get bored! We started throwing in leagues here at end of 2022 and have been enjoying it since. There's bowling football (kinda), darts, and occasionally corn hole. In the summer, there's food trucks and a restaurant has opened at the end of the parking lot. The drink variety is pretty great with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages along with snacks. You get coaching when you go in for a group to help you learn how to throw and get to play a variety of games. If you have enough time, you can try throwing the big axe. What I like most about Urban is that the employees are super welcoming and the axe community is too if you decide to join a league. You can learn to tweak your throw from a variety of different people and hone in on your technique. You don't feel bad when you're first not great at throwing since so many people want to help. There are various groups that host fundraising events and charities that collaborate like BARCS and Baltimore Humane Society. Give Urban a try!

When the drinks finally came, she didn't even bring one for my son, whose birthday we were celebrating; we had to ask her to go back for it. We were immediately told that part of the advertised birthday perk wasn't available, but staff provided that same perk to another birthday group that arrived two hours later. The limited menu was missing many of the listed food items, the food we received was mediocre, and everything took forever. We even had to clear our own plates which sat stacked behind us until we left. Meanwhile, the equipment repeatedly timed out, and each time we had to track someone down and wait for help. Staff seemed inattentive and made us feel as though every basic request was an inconvenience. The restaurant also adds an automatic 22% gratuity that is very easy to miss- which felt especially unreasonable given the almost nonexistent service. The bays and area around us was cluttered with items stacked everywhere, and equipment where it didn't belong, and although the music was good, the overall atmosphere was strange and very unwelcoming. They somehow managed to make axe throwing not fun - and charged a lot of money for the experience. If the place functions this poorly when nearly empty, I can't imagine what it's like when crowded. I strongly suggest spending your money somewhere else.

The rooms are tiny. The shards of broken glass got in my boots :( Ouchie. The earmuffs don't work well so also my ears were also ... ouchie. The staff has an attitude that will grow on you, I'll just say that lol. The inside smells like sweat and beer. They serve snacks and alcohol if you like that.

We had a few clues along the way, but we ended up solving the room with just under TWO MINUTES left on the clock! Talk about cutting it close! We were so proud of ourselves when we got out. Molly was the staff member who helped us get checked in, sign the waivers, and get everything set up. She was friendly and helpful and made the whole process easy. And they don't just send you on your way after you escape. They have props available for pictures, and Molly took some photos of us afterward. It was such a cute way to remember the experience. My sister had so much fun that she immediately wanted to do ANOTHER escape room. Unfortunately, they didn't have another opening that day, but they did give us information about rebooking and a discount for coming back. I also really appreciated that they offer discounts for first responders. My sister is an officer, so that's an especially nice perk.
