The company did a great job installing a new main electrical panel, a new subpanel, and wiring for an electric car. Quality work for a fair price read more

A year ago Rob replaced my electrical panel as part of a furnace/AC installation. I was impressed with his communications and that he always arrived when he promised. The installation went efficiently and the city inspector signed off immediately. This week I discovered that my hot tub no longer worked and I suspected the 15 year old circuit breaker in a separate panel. I sent some photos to Rob and he agreed to meet me the next day. Rather that just replace the circuit breaker he ran a series of diagnostics to ensure that the problem was actually the breaker and not in the external wiring. Satisfied that my breaker had failed he replaced it and all was well. I was very pleased with his thoroughness and I will definitely contact him if I develop any other electrical issues. read more

Rob was communicative throughout the process. I always understood where we were at in the project. The work is great, but more than just executing on a job, he approached it consultatively and as a partner, taking the time to understand what we wanted to accomplish. I would have no hesitations contacting Rob with any future electrical projects we have. read more

I was referred to Odom Electric from a contractor friend for installing an EV charging system. Excellent response time, estimate and service. Not an easy job as electricity had be ran all the way across the house into the garage thru the subarea. Rob's team did an excellent job, timely and very clean. Price, communication and service is very highly appreciated. Will DEFINITELY use Rob again for any electrical needs. My highest recommendation! read more

I contacted Rob for adding electrical to a backyard shed to make a play area. He had great advice on where to put lights and outlets and even adding a ceiling fan for warm days. He was so easy to work with. Very chill. He was great with scheduling, did great work, and he's our go-to for any electrical work in the future. read more

Rob promptly visited my home and provided an immediate quote. As a real estate agent who regularly works with contractors, I appreciated his positive, patient, and professional attitude. I will definitely recommend him to my clients and look forward to working with him in the future. read more

Rob helped upgraded my electrical panel and installed a new subpanel in the garage. He finished the work in one day and took care of coordinating with pg & e, patching the wall and painting with matching paint. Rob also helped us handle a demanding inspector request and was able to convince the inspector with his workarounds.  The communication is great and everything was explained to me clearly. Highly recommend if you need any electrical work done. read more

Rob took care of first addressing our new home's bad wiring, then installed two EV chargers (Juicebox) in our garage. He took care of everything including cleaning up after his work and PG&E communication, and all went as expected time and cost-wise, which we were very impressed. If we have more electrical work in the future, we'll be coming to him for sure! read more

We found Rob through Yelp and while we didn't actually hire him for the job, he was fantastic. Answered all the questions we have, was patient with our timing issues and came in at a very fair price. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we had to use someone else (family member) while we didn't hire Rob, we will absolutely be keeping his number for future projects! read more

Rob did an amazing job routing an EV charger all the way across our garage and additionally helped with relocating our recirculating water pump. The job was fast and clean. No drywall damage and everything was perfect. Couldn't recommend him more. Pricing is the most competitive in the area, the work is 5 stars, and the comms were seamless. Will always defer to Odom Electric as my default electrician. read more

Rob did a wonderful job installing a NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage so that I could plug in an EV charger for my electric car. This involved getting a city permit, adding a 50A breaker to my electrical panel, running wire under the house in the crawlspace, installing the outlet and arranging and meeting the inspector. Throughout the process, Rob responded promptly with a ballpark quote, on-site estimate, and answered any questions that I had. It was a pleasure working with Rob. He did the job quickly and professionally and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. read more

We have used Odom Electric on three separate projects at our home and each time have been very pleased with the work Rob has done. The first project was installing lighting in our back patio room as well as running electrical throughout our outdoor kitchen and upgrading our electrical box. Next he updated electrical on an outlet in a bedroom wall. Most recently he completed a lighting and electrical upgrade job on our kitchen reface project including setting up dedicated circuits, recommending and installing under cabinet lighting and adding/upgrading outlets. Communication is always clear, he ensures work is done in a timely manner and in line with our vision, he is conscientious about keeping the work area clean and he's a really nice guy. I would definitely recommend Odom Electric and will use him again on our next project. read more

I highly recommend Odom Electric. My husband and I embarked (foolishly) on a DIY remodel for our kitchen and living space. We needed extensive electrical work because, not only were we installing new light fixtures, we thought it would be fun to rearrange our kitchen appliances, move receptacles, move our dryer, add numerous receptacles and light switches, install a new electrical panel, install recessed lighting, put up security lights, and run electricity to our shed in the backyard. Rob did not miss a beat--even when I told him we had no plans and then quickly drew an electrical work map on graph paper. He was flexible and super pleasant to work with. Months after his work was done, I ran into a little snag trying to wrap up our work, and he was back to my kitchen in record time. I highly recommend Rob! Theresa read more

I'm very glad I hired Rob to upgrade the panel, install the EV charger, and to run 240V wiring for a water heater. He did everything thoroughly and professionally, took care of the required coordination with PGE and with the city. I would recommend him for any electrical project. read more

I started my electrical panel upgrade with another company and they are suck. I fired them half way done and have Rob picked up the project. Rob is friendly and patient. He is willing to work with your ideas and wishes. Rob also explains why he does certain things if you want to know more. I would recommend him if you need electrical work read more

Odom Electric EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS My wife and I own a townhouse that was built in the 70's and was in need of some SERIOUS updating. Because of the poor lighting and outdated electrical box we decided the first thing we needed to update was the electrical. When I contacted Rob he was quick to reply and we set up an appointment for him to come out and check out our place. He listened to everything we wanted and gave us his expert advise. He was prompt to send our estimate and we were eager to get the work started. Rob was great with answering all my questions and safety concerns. We were even able to make a few last minute adjustments based off our budget. Here are some things that stand out about the team at Odom Electric: - Their team is super friendly and professional. The treated my house with respect and did a SUPER job cleaning before they left for the day. They were great with dealing my unsocialized loud dogs as well. - We had recessed lighting installed in addition to a few other upgrades. The damage to my drywall (very little) was not what I expected. There are just a few areas I need to patch up and Rob and his team did whatever they could to not create any extra damage. They did a great job securing the areas they did have to open up and there were no safety concerns for my young toddler. - The work is amazing! My 70's townhouse now looks modern just because of the lighting. - They were finished quicker than the time quoted. There are some additional projects that we might do down the road. It's great to know that we can depend on Odom Electric! read more

Rob replaced our 100 amp main panel and was very professional and accurate with this estimates on the electricity outage duration. He worked with city and PGE and got the work done in few hours. I'll definitely use him for all my future electrical work. read more

Rob did an excellent job with installing a new electrical outlet in our laundry room and securing (boxing?) as well as cleaned up exposed wiring in our garage that was done by the previous owner of our new house. His work is very clean. If there was a mess at all, he cleaned up after himself and I really appreciate that. Unfortunately, the reason for the 3 stars and not 5 is because the main reason that we called him was to fix a problem with the outlets in our kitchen. There is some sort of short that disabled most of the outlets. Can't make coffee, cook rice, toast bread, use the microwave.... it is almost an essential part of every day life. He tried to troubleshoot the problem and even had gotten one (out of 4) of the outlets to work. He was short on time that day and told me that he'd give us a call to set up another time to finish up his work... but after one week of waiting, we never heard from him. Not upset that he couldn't finish his work that day, but wish he could have at least called and told us his situation or just told us if he couldn't do the work that we asked him to do. At least it would have saved us time and we would have had someone else come to fix the problem for us. Instead, we were left hanging for a week unable to use half of our kitchen. read more

I was having my kitchen remodeled and my contractor recommended upgrading my house to a 200amp circuit. The quote they came back with was almost 4 times their estimate so I decided to look for my own electrician Rob was recommended to me by a friend that works at PG&E. Note: this was not a recommendation from PG&E, but they had good experiences with Rob. He was one of 5 electricians I called: all recommended by friends. Two never returned my calls, one was inadequate for the job, and the last one never completed my quote. I was beginning to feel like I would have better luck finding a unicorn. All of that said: I had a great experience with Rob. Rob came to my house and took down all of the details of the work I wanted done and made a suggestion: I have a plug-in hybrid car so he suggested adding a 220 outlet for a car charger. He got back to me with a quote within the week and it was 33% lower than my contractor. I signed the contract and had to put the work on hold due to issues with the general contractor. Once I was ready to begin the work Rob made himself available and did excellent work. He took care of all of the permits and did the work he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. If you need any electrical work done I cannot recommend Rob highly enough. read more

I worked with Rob for over a year and a half, a great guy and does exceptional work! He is very skilled, great with customers, and very organized. A solid reputable man of integrity who produces top-notch work. 1st in Class, hands down. read more

Odom Electric is the electrician my company uses for its rental units. Odom Electric repaired all the electrical wiring in one unit and replaced the garage lights in another. Mr. Odom is very knowledgeable, affordable and friendly. I would strongly recommend his services to anybody who needs electric work done or handyman type work as well. read more

Rob Odom saved us!!! I work out of town and Rob responded for my wife regarding an issue we had with our solar and house power integration. He found the problem and fixed it before it turned into a serious fire hazard. He was able to fix it quickly and for a very reasonable amount. Highly recommend him!!! Thanks again Rob!! read more

We worked with Rob on a massive kitchen remodel that required a full electrical upgrade. From start to finish, working with Rob exceeded our expectations and we are incredibly happy with the result. Would definitely work with Rob again for future electrical work. Rob and his team were always reliable and on time. Communication was always clear. Rob, thank you for squeezing our project in and getting it done so quickly! read more

We asked Rob Odom to replace most of the wiring at our home, and upgrade the electric connection to 200Amps. We had requested bids from four other electric contractors and Rob's had turned out to be the lowest. We had initially thought that it might be because he was cutting some corners, but we gave him the contract seeing these reviews on yelp. Rob exceeded our expectations in many ways: (1)All the new wiring in the home looks extremely neat and tidy. (2)He installed dimmer switches in all the rooms; something we had not put in the contract and had not expected. (3)When an issue came up that the inspector would not pass without wired smoke alarms being installed at the home, Rob dealt with it swiftly and efficiently. (4)All the inspections were handled efficiently and completed fine. If you are going to hire Rob for your work, and the work requires multiple electricians, I would recommend you to ask Rob about Richard. Richard is great too, he spotted that the laundry area that we wanted to build would not be sufficient for a stackable laundry unit, and suggested the changes so the laundry unit could be built properly. read more

Being a Realtor, I'm on the constant search for reputable, reliable & trustworthy contractors I can refer my clients to. Odom Electric, is absolutely that company! Rob was able to attend to my clients' needs and go above and beyond the scope of work that was requested. Thank you, Rob for your excellence in business. read more

I had Odom Electric rewire everything in my house, from the bathroom to the bedrooms even my garage. Literally everything. All I have to say is that the work is very proficient, exudes quality and was done at great price too. Excellent work, excellent. I would totally recommend Odom electric. They came off very trust worthy, and displayed tons of integrity in their work ethic. Odom electric was up front with all their pricing and provided a great forecast of what they wanted to do and followed through. Will use this company again without a doubt. read more

After reading the reviews and I decided to contact Odom Electric earlier this month. I needed to service some electrical issues with my home. Some of the issues I was having is shorts happening with a few light switch, missing fuse in electrical box and basic hardware install (ceiling fan, chandelier, running cable behind the wall for tv, etc.). These guys are absolutely awesome and professional. As all the other review states, they come on-time, clean-up during and after projects. Most of all they are super friendly. Definitely recommending to all my friends. Thanks TEAM!! read more

It was great working with Rob, he was on time and very thorough in searching out my wiring problem. He is very knowledgeable and clearly explained options as well as exactly how he was going to approach the wiring problem. I highly recommend Odom Electric. read more

Rob Odom is awesome! We moved into a new home and the dryer plug was the wrong type, he asked me a few questions about the dryer plug and the breaker box and had me send him pictures of the wall plug, dryer plug and breaker. The use of technology to help with the job assessment was great and when he got to the house the installation of the dryer plug went seemless. In addition to the dryer plug I needed a few of my power oulets grounded. Rob was willing to work within my budget to get these tasks done. He performed the job right on the spot and left the house just as clean as it was prior to the work. Rob is courteous, enthusiastic about his work and knowledgeable in his field. I would definitely call him back if I need any addtional electrical work done and would recommend him to my friends and family. If you need good quality electrical work perform..I highly recommend Rob Odom for the job. Give him a call and join in on the experience. read more

We contacted Odom Electric based on the Yelp reviews, and they were absolutely right. Now we're recommending this company, so that anyone looking for a great electrician knows where to find one! Rob has done three projects at our house so far - installed dimmer switches throughout the house, ran the surround sound wiring through the wall & attic and mounted the rear speakers to the ceiling, and installed a new outlet in the bathroom. He was always on time, professional, knowledgeable, efficient and he was very pleasant to work with. We have several future projects and will definitely be calling him back! read more

I called Rob to change out a faulty motion-sensor switch in our utility room. He arrived the same day. I had bought the wrong replacement switch, so he went to the home supply store to pick the correct item, installed it, and charged me the minimum plus parts. Great deal and quality workmanship and service. I'll call him again. read more

Rob Odom was recommended to me by 2 friends. He and his crew were great. We had to rewire the whole house which was a huge job and they had to work in tight crawl spaces and very hot attic. Our schedule was very tight but Rob came thru for us. They did a tremendous job. We're very pleased with the quality of their work and the price. Top notch service. Highly recommended. read more

In short, they are the BEST. Hard working, sincere, honest, and responsive. I am extremely happy with their work. I wish I have known Rob sooner. read more

This review is overdue but my experience with Odom Electric has been excellent -- every time. We first worked with Rob Odom when installing new lighting throughout the kitchen and living room. Rob is a straight shooter and was professional all the way. he took care of things like he was working on his own house. We had special ordered a chandelier that arrived a couple days after the other lighting work was completed and paid. I was going to put it up since it arrived late -- but he said it was part of the job and came out to hang it. Aren't contractors supposed to disappear after you pay?.... not Rob. Later I had to call him up after I drilled into an electrical line while installing shelves in the soon-to-be baby room. Rob was able to come out -- arrived on time and knocked out the work at a great price. He didn't bust my chops about my bone-headed mistake and ran a new line in no time. My pregnant wife was relieved to know we had safe wiring once again. Last we contacted Odom electric to move some electrical switches and add new outside lighting. What i really appreciate about Rob is he took the time to come out and assess the job and give me a detailed quote. He listens and is totally willing to discuss options -- and not just the ones that make it easiest for him. The work he did was excellent, clean and professional. I consider myself a competent do-it-myself man (ah ok, the previous drill meets electrical line incident is not representative) but when it comes to electrical work, its awesome having a good electrician I trust to do professional work at a more than honest and fair price. I don't hesitate at all in recommending Odom Electric to friends and folks needing an electrician. read more

I am the supremely lucky one to have persevered long enough to find these guys. Truly, I had work to do and several unsavory issues with other electricians. I experienced indifference, high prices and lack of customer service from many competing electricians. Rob is courteous, competent, trustworthy and patient. All went so perfectly I have now have him scheduled for more work. And I'm going to use him in the future for all of my apartments and homes. Enough said! read more

Odom Electric is the best company I've worked with since I bought my house 14 years ago. I've had plumbers, painters, roofers, repipers, gardeners, fencers, sprinkler installers, locksmiths, tilers, and various contractors. None of them can compare with the team of men at Odom. Not only are the men attractive, personable, extremely polite and considerate, they are reliable and consistent. If they say they'll be there at 8:00, they are there, waiting for me to get up and let them in. They have listened to everything I wanted and made it happen. That includes their making suggestions that might work better, and they have always been right. The owner is hands on and always available. The foreman is very experienced and made many suggestions that I hadn't even considered, that helped me solve many difficult problems, some of which I didn't even know I had. I trusted them alone in my house with my dog ..... and that's a big deal! The thing I liked the most was that they operate strategically. They see the big picture, so that problems were considered and prevented before they ever happened. My house was built in 1906. It's a "charming" (meaning old) craftsman style house. It's all lath and plaster walls, with knob and tube wiring that worked off a panel of old screw in fuses. They updated all the wiring in all three stories of my house and my free standing garage. Now I have an up-to-date, up-to-code, inspector approved panel of switches which are each dedicated to a certain appliance, or certain area of the house. I now feel totally safe in my house, as well as safe to rent or safe to sell. I'm one happy client. read more

We needed AC power receptacles installed in our building, and the electricians that our landlords having been using for years were closing shop, which we weren't aware of until a few days before our deadline. I found Odom on Yelp with a whole lot of great reviews, and I explained our scenario to Rob. He arranged a site visit and got his proof of insurance and all the necessary paperwork to our building management, along with a quote, within a couple of days. His guys showed up right on time, explained their plan of what and how they were going to proceed, finished within a couple hours, called me to demonstrate that everything worked as it should, and it all looked tidy and well-done. Their prices were reasonable, they did a top-notch job, and I think just as important - every employee I dealt with presented themselves as knowledgeable and professional. Thanks to Odom we were able to keep our project on-track. I've recommended them to our building management so hopefully they'll get more work from them, and we would surely call on them again. read more
