I booked this hotel through Expedia without knowing that this hotel was still under construction at the time. It made me worry a bit at first but once they opened and photos started getting posted, I got so excited. I stayed here early October for 3 nights.
This hotel was perfectly located in the L'Eixample neighborhood, nearby the Passeig de Gràcia shopping area. I much preferred this neighborhood over Las Ramblas or Gothic because it was less touristic, safe, and active day and night. It was also within walking distance to many places, especially the L3 metro and the Passeig de Gràcia Rodalies station (same block, easy to get on train to Sitges for a day trip). If you need to go to Sants station, it's only one stop away from the Passeig de Gràcia Rodalies station and there is always an agent helping at the entrance closest to the hotel on Carrer d'Aragó and Carrer de Pau Claris. If you're coming from the airport, just take the R2 Nord RENFE/Rodalies train from Aeroport to Passeig de Gràcia. Exit platform for Carrer d'Aragó/Carrer de Pau Claris and just walk down the block on Carrer d'Aragó towards Carrer de Roger de Llúria.
Several ATMs just around the corner or a block away. And if you want to go to a grocery store, there are several within blocks, but I highly recommend Mercadona for cheap and better quality.
The staff was amazing. Super friendly and multi-lingual. And they are super helpful. The room I booked is, I believe the smallest they have, but I thought it was very spacious, even if it was for 2 people (bigger than the hotel rooms I had in Paris). The interior is very modern with good lighting and great functionality in mind. The shower was amazing with rain drop heads and a shower wand for your preference. The common was also very in sync with modern decor. Up on the 5th floor was the outdoor pool. I didn't get to use the place because it's only open from 9am-8pm and I was out early and in late to maximize my time in Barcelona. But I did take a peak at the last hour to see the beautiful view of the streets from the edge.
My only complaints, if I had to, are that there isn't a gym and there isn't an iron/ironing board in the room. They offer services for pressing but it's a bit expensive for me. But I still highly recommend staying at this place. I already plan on coming back on my next trip to Barcelona! read more
