Less than 4 weeks after treatment a 3rd area next to the 2nd appeared red and puffy. Had 3rd biopsy in area with same result. However, I was told Dr. Stevens only works 2 days per week in the summer and could not see me in 6 weeks that I needed to wait longer. I am diabetic and have a new aortic valve and could not wait to resolve this continuing problem. (Also after the first biopsy I had an infection and had trouble getting the antibiotic needed. The assistant failed to send a RX to the pharmacy. The assistants are not well trained.) I made a special trip to the office to sign paperwork so I could get a copy of my records so I could change doctors. After signing the paperwork, they said they do not have the records in the office but off-site. I then tried for 23 days to get a copy of my records. They said they sent them but the doctor never received them. Called the office manager and left a message for her to call me - please. No response whatsoever. I did not have my records for my new doctor appt. but after 23 days Mayo finally got copies so I could return for another Mayo dermatology appt. After being billed $424 for each of my first two visits, which took a maximum of 10 minutes, I learned from the new dermtologist that all I needed was Efudex cream to handle my growths. Talk about a waste of money, trips and less pain. This is totally unacceptable.
