You do get a great view of the beach and water, but it's straight and back (and all flat). We did the entire route (stopping once to use the restroom) in approximately 30 minutes (and we are definitely not currently in shape). I don't know why someone would rent one of these bikes for longer than an hour. The bikes/surreys are a bit dated, but it worked decently. It's definitely a good workout, but you have to share the route with cars and lots of other bike riders, walkers, pedestrians, etc. I would recommend this excursion for anyone trying to kill some time near the beach and catch some ocean breeze.

I went through Yelp and found Beach vibe rentals in Carlsbad but yet right up the street from where we were staying in Oceanside. Called and asked them numerous questions on numerous occasions for about six hours lol and finally decided to rent a golf cart for a couple of days. My mom and me were having such a great time in the golf cart that we rented it for four days! Jesse, the owner is just the nicest man! He went above and beyond and even told us where to safely keep our car parked for the four days since the RV park we were staying at wanted to charge us $20 a day for her car! The golf cart was perfect, and worked perfectly for my mom in her 70s Turned our vacation into a whole different experience and loved it! Would I recommend this place? Highly!

Rich?) was incredibly helpful explaining the differences in sandals, how to fit them, and with helping us figure out which were best for my kid. He let him try on all the pairs, talked to him about which were better for his needs and how they should fit. He didn't have to do any of this, but did! Challenge was they were sold out of my son's size. This man coulda tried to talk him into something else (wherein we would have left temporarily happy but ultimately displeased), but he did not. He sent us down the way to another local shop in the hopes they'd have what we needed (they also did not). We returned and he made sure to give my son the model info so we could buy the right ones on our own and was super helpful and pleasant about all of it. Sure, I would have preferred to buy them directly at the store, but it wasn't to be and unlike some big box or online place, he gave wonderful human service like only a small shop can. 100% recommend coming here for some shopping. The surf camp experience in Algarve, Portugal that was advertised was not what we walked into when…read morewe dropped off our daughter and her two friends for Week 1 in June, 2024. It was a kids camp and an adult camp operated simultaneously at the same facility. Based on the conversations with Jose (the owner) and the experience detailed online, we were expecting (and our kids were anticipating) a bustling camp of approximately 30 kids from all over the world. Instead, our group got 7 other kids and 15 adults. We were told that this camp was a good one for our 12 year old daughter because it catered to the younger side of the 12 to 17 age range. It is incredible to us that we were told this without disclosure that, in fact, the camp catered to adults to the degree that the children attending the camp did not feel welcome at any of the facilities or secure in their own rooms. On the first night we were contacted by our daughter after she and the other girls went to bed. She told us she and the other girls felt unsafe. There were adults smoking, drinking, yelling and playing loud music at the camp bar, directly outside their bedroom door. The bedroom door did not lock and there was a door that led outside that also did not lock. The girls, aged 12 to 17, felt compelled to barricade their door for safety. We were told that the councilors left at 10pm, and the children were left alone with adult strangers in a house in a remote location. The partying and loud noise continued out at the pool area until after midnight when one of the older girls went out and had to ask the adult guests to turn the music down. The following morning the parents of all but one of the girls pulled their kids from the camp, leaving one girl alone. Some parents were scrambling from other countries to get their kids back to the airport less than 12 hours after they arrived. Our kids had been looking forward to this camp for months and the disappointment was palpable. Nomad refunded our money. Jose, the owner, never reached out to speak with us or respond to our emails or WhatsApp messages, despite repeated requests.
