I was one of four groups that was there to buy donuts and I learned that most people stop in because of the donut hype, but in all honesty I was disappointed as the donuts were average at best. I paid $11.65 for a 1/2 dozen which I found pricey for the quality of the donut. The place is a small slightly chaotically organized convenience store/gas station with overpriced items as may be expected. I will not be back unless I am in need of gas.

This little dive donut shop is on point. Donuts are GOOD. Remind of Frog Hollow in S Jersey. Ill be back!!!

Had to stop by and see if the donuts lived up to their "best donuts on the beach" sign outside. They were pretty good for cake doughnuts, though they felt like they had been sitting out for a while. They had limited flavors when we got there, but I liked the chocolate peanut butter the best. Unfortunately, don't think that they compare to fractured prune. Because they don't have as much variety and flavor and they aren't hot and fresh. They are pretty good for being in a gas station though.

Passed through Ocean City MD on the way home from VA beach. We were looking to find donuts to bring back to our drive to Jersey/NY. After searching all over yelp and seeing that all the donut places closed early we came across Oceans Market. The donuts were buy one get one free so I decided to buy a dozen. I paid a little over $6 for 12 donuts! That's unheard of where I'm from. I asked the lady if they were half off because it was later in the day and she said yes and I should come back again to try them fresh. The customers in the store happened to be talking about how delicious the donuts were. Fresh or not.... Still delicious! Definitely don't let the front or location of the store fool you. Simple but yummy donuts. 5 stars!

I came here at around 9am on a Saturday. I was so excited to try these doughnuts. I got 1/2 dozen doughnuts. I was pretty excited to see that they were made to order so I didn't mind the wait. After getting them, I sat outside on the chairs to bite in. Only 2 out of the 6 doughnuts were made to order, and the rest seemed to have been made sometime this morning. Given the coconut and rainbow sprinkles were hot, I ate them first. Wow were they delicious. Covered in glaze and sticky they were to die for. I ate both of them in about 2 minutes flat. After that, I moved on to the others that were made earlier in the morning. They were just average. I think if they aren't hot right out of the frier, then I'm not sure they are worth it. The flavor of them is good but maybe I'm just not the biggest fan of cake doughnuts. 4 stars when they are hot, 3 stars when they are cold. I also was a little worried about the dough being made in large plastic non food grade containers. I almost preferred not to have seen that.

This place kills it. Old school donut machine behind the counter sealed the deal for me.

Great donuts in an odd location. The donuts here are great. Come early or order in advance so you don't have to wait in line.

Great fresh donuts! A good place for a quick beer run, with always a few interesting craft beer choices. Very friendly employees, too.

The donuts were nice and warm since they were freshly made and that maple glazed donut tasted like pancakes and syrup with bacon. It was so good. The donuts have a nice crispness on the outside but are lighter than you think for a cake donut. 10 out of 10 Every time. I only waited about 5-6 mins after placing my order. How many times, in my entire life, had I actually tried one? Zero. But I was determined to change that during my solo birthday adventure to Ocean City this year. My first Fractured Prune donut in 41 years...I was more excited than I probably should have been. For those unfamiliar, Fractured Prune has been an Ocean City staple since 1976 and is known for letting you build your own donut masterpiece--starting with a hot, fresh donut and customizing it with glazes and toppings however you like. No pre-made rows of donuts here--just pure, creative, donut freedom. Since I was visiting in March (aka off-season), I wasn't even sure I'd get my chance. But I was thrilled to find this location open until 12pm on Saturdays. PERFECT. I got up early, watched the sunrise, and made my way over to finally experience the hype. I had studied the menu ahead of time because I knew if I didn't, I'd stand at the counter forever trying to decide. I landed on one donut--a Banana Nut Bread creation (banana glaze, cinnamon sugar, peanuts). I was attempting to show some level of restraint during a weekend that was otherwise...not about restraint. I walked in around 9:30am on a beautiful March Saturday and found a small crowd already inside. Clearly, even in the off-season, people know where to go. I placed my order, paid my $3.57, and asked if they had stickers as a little keepsake from my birthday trip. They were out, but the kind gentleman behind the counter offered me a magnet instead--which I happily accepted. A few minutes later, my number was called, and I was handed a purple box that felt...surprisingly heavy for one donut. I took it out to my car, opened the box, and immediately started to cry. I was on a solo birthday trip--my first one in a long time--and while I was doing my best to fill it with fun and new experiences, there was definitely a bittersweet edge to it. Inside the box weren't just my one donut--but two extra donuts and a handwritten "Happy Birthday!!" on the lid. It was such a small gesture, but it meant everything in that moment. It made me feel seen. It made me feel celebrated. And honestly, it made my entire day. The kindness of the people working there didn't have to exist--but it did, and it mattered. After I pulled myself together (and stopped crying over my donuts), I finally took a bite. I get it now. I fully get the hype. The donut was incredible--served warm, soft, moist, and perfectly cakey, with the banana glaze, cinnamon sugar, and peanuts all working together in the best possible way. It took serious self-control not to demolish all three donuts right there in the car. I'm not even sure I've ever had a truly fresh, hot donut before this--but if this is the standard, Fractured Prune has set the bar very high. For $3.57, this was one of the best purchases I've made in a long time--and eating it in the sunshine during my birthday adventure is a memory I won't forget anytime soon. Logistically, it's easy: free parking in a nearby strip mall, quick ordering, and fast service. Just note--there's no indoor seating. You grab your donuts and go...which honestly isn't a bad thing when "go" can mean taking them to the beach just a few minutes away. Fractured Prune is officially on my "must-do every time I'm in Ocean City" list. And next time? I'm not pretending I'm only getting one donut!

My husband whispered "This place was on the food network". I'm not surprised. The menu is bizarre. You can get a burger or chicken or egg on your donuts. Bleh. Even the donut donuts were over the top... like 5 toppings. But the family got a dozen (everyone else got like 1-2 donuts each and a lot of people were ordering their soft serve ice cream which we didn't try). Here are our reviews: 11 yr old: Score 3/10. They were OK. 13 yr old: Score 8/10. I liked them! Runner up to Fractured Prune. 54 yr old: Score 7/10. I liked them OK, a little better than Fractured Prune but I'm really a Dunkin man. 46 yr old: Score 1/10. Bleh. Like Bleh when I looked at the menu and BLEH when I looked at the donuts. I tried a couple pieces of a couple of them, and not one was enticing enough to actually desire to eat the whole thing. I'm a KK or DD fan too, and I only like 2 donuts made by FP, and they are the plainer ones. Note... they will do custom donuts, so if their suggestions are over the top, tell them what you want. They are cake donuts and there is a toppings bar (think: Subway) where you chose your glaze and toppings, and they make it in front of you. My issue was that sprinkles were in glazes, glazes in sugar, and it was all very messy. It kinda grossed me out. And there you have it. It's a novelty.

We stopped by for lunch shortly after arriving for our OCMD beach weekend and were thoroughly impressed by the caliber of food LA is dishing out. What started as a liquor store with a bar has evolved into a seriously good restaurant that stands out from the usual beach fare. Our table of four shared a bunch of small plates and a few larger dishes. We tried the steamed mussels, buffalo wings, tuna crisps, baked oysters, short rib pot pie, and Kung Pao calamari. The rich short rib pot pie was excellent, and we loved the baked oysters with aged cheddar, honey chipotle, and fresh chimichurri. Our favorite was the Kung Pao calamari, which had a great sweet Asian heat that made it a fun spin on the classic. We also ordered a round of cocktails, with the bourbon and whiskey based drinks being the favorites. The Wild Fashioned was especially good. Another great perk is that dining guests receive 10 percent off purchases from the attached liquor store. We happily took advantage and stocked up on Willett bourbon and Clase Azul tequila for the rest of the beach weekend. Overall, Liquid Assets is a great place to come for a drink or three with some elevated bites, especially when you are ready for a break from typical beach food. We will definitely be back.
