My back patio is still a mud pit. When I asked them to come by and check it out he said he would but never came and I haven't heard back since. This wasn't the first time he stood us up without a warning either. As far as the retaining wall, my 80 year old grandma would've built an equal quality wall as they did. I asked them to build about a quarter of the wall but after I saw them working on it decided to finish it myself. I paid about 20% of what they charged me to build the rest. Bottom line, SUPER expensive, poor quality work, poor quality customer service. Look elsewhere.

After three weeks of service the guy who came over told me they would need to charge us after the 4th week. That is not once a month. Most other pool services charge you once a month. Not every 4 weeks... if the month had 5 weeks and you wanted service for the 5th week you had to pay an additional $33. He told us the polaris was not working correctly so I asked him to fix it. We looked to see that the part we needed was $45 online. When he installed it he said the part alone was $80. The polaris still did not work after that so he said I would have to take it to someone who fixes them. I didn't know he couldn't fix them. The next issue we had was that he said the filter needed to be replaced so I asked him if he would do that. He said he would prefer for me to get someone else to fix it. He said that service would be suspended until I got someone to fix it. When I hire a company to take care of my pool, I expect for them to be able to fix the filter, polaris and any other issues the pool may have. I do not feel I should pay another company to fix what he couldn't. Other pool companies charge $150/ mo... and that includes the 5th week if there is one. Make sure you research the company and ask questions about what the service includes and all the details before you hire them. ***Response to the business owner's comments: I wanted a pool company that could do everything my pool needed... including cleaning the filter. I did not feel I should hire another company to do the job he was hired to do. I think it was unprofessional. He also states in his response that they bill as other companies do, but that is just not true. Other companies make you pay once a calendar month... however Drew wants to charge you every 4 weeks. I do not feel that repairs should be done according to, as Drew says Ebay prices (I don't shop on Ebay for pool items). However the price he told me it was ended up being over double what we discussed. I want to end with saying I am not a difficult person to work with. I have been in customer service positions throughout my whole career and know what to expect. I expect for a person or company to do the job they are hired to do. The new pool company we hired is awesome and we have no issues with them being able to do any repairs. They have never once asked me to "hire someone else to do it" because they didn't want to. THAT is good customer service.

They came in professional smart and knowledgeable they quickly won our bid and eventually signed with them. The reason they won out bid is because of all the positive things they were saying. They were promising us to be there everyday that there was workers and that their contractors were a phone call away waiting to work. Promises we quickly learned were empty. Michael and mike started off great on the physical work. The workers came in and dug the pool formation and quickly set the steel within 2 days but that was as bright as this project got to be. From that point forward they spiraled downhill and quickly. Days became weeks before workers would show up and every time there would be an excuse as to why someone didn't show up. On multiple occasions I'd stay put at home waiting for workers to show up and they never would. I would let it slide but after multiple experiences I quickly noticed I had gotten myself into something bad. My pool was being built from June17 and wasn't finished till mid August. With about a month of wasted time. With all the wasted days that had past Michael made the decision to go ahead and plaster my pool before the deck was even complete because of Harvey coming and a decision I was never notified of. Unfortunately his workmanship shows in the plaster and other professionals have told me the plaster was rushed and done very bad. When the storm passed they came back to finish my deck and drainage. Which does not even do its job. Please view photos. Another thing I'd like to review is Cali Pools of Texas will rush to receive their money even if the job is not complete. Please be completely aware of this company they are not professional and it is much safer and less of a headache to go with the bigger companies. Overall Cali Pools of Texas is not a trustworthy company to work with at all with very low business ethics and workmanship. I would not recommend to go with them. Go professional and not amateur. I do not have the ability today to go back and make the right choice by sending Cali Pools of Texas away but if I did I'd surely do it. His professionalism and knowledge about pools reassured us during the decision making process. From our first meeting with Michael throughout the entire process, every question, every concern was promptly and satisfactorily addressed. We were amazed how quickly he was able to build our pool. It's hard to believe but the pool was completed in just two weeks and it's absolutely spectacular! The after service has also been excellent.
