I recently went to Oceanic for a dinner date with my friend . We had such a great time ! Our waitress name is Christina and she was a delight . Super sweet and made some good recommendations for some apps and entrees . We ended up ordering the Brussels sprouts and Sunkissed shrimp for the app and we had the shrimp scampi for our entrees I also ordered the white sangria which was delicious.. everything is reasonably priced and affordable. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed and not crowded . We had a late night dinner which was nice . The music was not to loud and we were able to really enjoy each others company and the food ! I will definitely be going back . Perfect for a date night or a girls night out for some local seafood . read more

I went here with my neighbor for my birthday. They have large fans outside so it was perfect weather to sit outside. It is right off the boardwalk and I only saw parking that you had to pay for. We parked in a metered spot that takes credit cards and it was $4.20 for 2 house which was enough time. We started with the bread basket which was a nice assortment of bread and flat bread and a Martini. I had their mahi with asparagus artichoke hearts and fennel. He encouraged us to view specials but recommended crab cakes & scampi D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S.. savory, light & scrumptious. I'm super picky about shrimp & it was PERFECTION. We made a reservation online for 8:45pm just a couple hours beforehand that day, and it was a Friday night, I was happy that we could try this for the first time on vacation. What peaked my interest was the view of the oceanfront. We were greeted right away and led to our table outside. Our waiter seemed rushed and stressed and didn't give us much time to order our drinks, although he did suggest some favorites to choose from. We ordered the beef appetizer and could have done without. It was just a few slices of thin meat and three pieces of bread. I ordered the linguine and clams for my meal, and my husband got the lobster roll. My meal was delicious. It was the perfect amount of food and there were an ample amount of clams. My husband enjoyed his meal and couldn't finish it so we took the rest home. Overall I was surprised by the lighting in the restaurant. There were neon orange lights everywhere and it cast a ghostly tone to everything. We had no idea what our food and drinks looked like until I took a picture with my flash. It would have been nice to see everything in real color, as well as everyone faces were washed out too. Maybe not the best first date kind of restaurant! We will visit again but hopefully have someone with a smile on their face and try some of the other things on the menu read more

Lunch time at Oceanic! My wife had bookmarked Oceanic as a new place to try. Outside dining on the patio with properly spaced tables and seating. Ocean breezes, sunshine, beautiful scenery and fans make a comfortable dining and inviting experience. Whenever I am exposed to salt air for some reason I crave a burger. On the menu is the Oceanic offering of their BEACH BURGER! My choice was made easy as this burger was cooked perfectly to my request and came with sprouts, avocado chunks, special sauce, red tomato slice, perfectly sized bibb lettuce and four artistically arranged pickle slices. This Beach Burger was built with care and not just thrown together. The delicious burger came with some great french fries. My wife had Lobster Shrimp Sliders which also came with fries. I enjoyed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, Matua, which was cold, crisp and refreshing as we enjoyed our meals and oceanside dining. Great service and friendly staff! read more

Such potential here. It's a beautiful spot on the beach with options for outdoor dining and drinking to indoor dining/drinking. There is ample parking around and the area is beautiful. I've had good experiences here, so I would say 3 stars (average) is an appropriate review. Of course if you're from out of town, the view may qualify for another star. This time we came on a Thursday night at 7pm...it was very quiet. Four of us and we sat at the bar. We were greeted by a bartender with some menus, then we were left alone for a bit. The bartender (who was now different) seemed to be the only one working the outside area (bar and service bar), but as I said, it was very quiet. None the less, the only way we got anything was by getting his attention. Ordered the burger and it was brought out by a food runner who warned me that the plate was super hot. It was and so was the bun that had been sitting under a heat lamp on that plate for a while. I ordered the burger med/rare and because (I guess) it sat under a lamp for a while, that burger was a close to hockey puck well-done status. The fries were old too. Typically I would have sent it back, but I was hungry and even after the food came out, the bartender never came around and asked "how is it?" or "need anything?". I was looking for him for a few minutes, but then I just had to eat it. There seems to be a problem with service more and more these days around here. I still tipped the bartender appropriately...it's their livelihood and it's been tough out there, but service is important and it's getting worse all the time. I'll think twice if I see him there next time. read more

Flavorful, the portions are the right amount. The views are so peaceful and serene and the wonderful breeze that blows is just heavenly. The roasted Brussels sprouts are yummy! Arugula and watermelon salad with shrimps is so refreshing. Fettuccine with shrimps is delicious, everything on the menu is worth trying you will not be disappointed. read more

My family came here for a nice dinner with another couple. We arrived and were seated in the back of the restaurant. When we asked our waitress, Elisha S., about drinks and food she was condescending and rude. At one point telling us "I'd really rather you buy bottled water than me having to bring you a pitcher of water". Each of the two parties at the table had coupons for a free appetizer with the order of a meal. She took the coupons, our appetizer orders, and meal orders, to later come back and tell us we can only use one per table after we had been served and finished eating the appetizers. She stated since she has already served us both appetizers we now have to pay for one, which we were not expecting. After reading the coupon it did not state this "rule" anywhere. We also informed her before ordering we would like two checks, she said, "ok no problem". At the end of our visit she came back with one check and said we can't do two checks. Upon receiving our check we noticed she put there were more people in our party than there actually were, which required a large un-optional gratuity. The food we had was ok food, but the service was terrible, and our bill was much more than we had anticipated due to the waitresses dishonesty! For this reason we sadly will not return to this restaurant or recommend it!! What a disappointing experience for our first visit to pompano beach!! read more

What is not to love about this place - sun, beach and good food. Oceanic is new favorite spot! First of all the restaurant is beautiful, what a great job from design and architecture perspective. It is type of place you would expect to see either Fort Lauderdale or South Beach. Props to Pompano beach for developing the area. I love the vibe mixture between upscale but yet comfortable cozy atmosphere. Food was delicious. Lobster sliders were amazing. Lunch menu offers great selection of healthy foods. Service was fantastic. I trully enjoyed sitting on the terrace overlooking the ocean. The view is great and so relaxing because you don't have the noise from similar places located in Deerfield beach or Fort Lauderdale beach. It Would definitely be going back for dinner soon read more

Had an excellent time there for brunch last week! We went at 1pm, and were easily seated with an ocean view. We ordered the French toast, chicken and waffles, and filet/crabcake Eggs Bendict. The drinks were good and strong, too! All of the food tasted delicious. The French toast was light and fluffy. The chicken had a good crisp to it, and the waffles were thick. The filet was tender with a pink center (medium rare). The crabcake had a great amount of it with just the right spices and breading. There was plenty of hollandaise sauce, too, which can be sparse with other restaurants. Too many dishes to try, so we'll be back again soon! read more

The food was reasonably good. The service was generally poor. We had a table for 9, and our waitress went around and asked individuals about appetizer choices. She left before she was done. Quite a while later, we tracked her down so the rest of our people could order appetizers. Not long after, those new orders were brought out--well before the orders for the first people were brought out. The people whose appetizers were ordered late were done, and their plates removed, before the first order was brought out. After a total of nearly an hour, she took our dinner orders. About that time, a couple arrived at the table next to use. They were done with their dinners before us. All of that would have been OK if it were not for the atmosphere. We could not talk to each other effectively because of the loud, loud constant beat of the techno music being played. I am guessing that is what it was. All we could pick out was the thump thump thump of the baseline with some kind of high pitched noise accompanying it. It was close to painful. We will not be back. read more
