We had lunch here today and what a beautiful location! Right on the beach with such a nice breeze. I ordered the Thai noodle salad which came with seared tuna. It was supposed to come with arugula but I asked if they could switch that to another green and they did. The salad was fresh and very tasty. If I had one complaint it was the seasoning on the tuna was a bit heavy for my taste. The peanut dressing was delicious! My husband got the lunch special. It was a three course meal for $35. He had the roasted brussel sprouts for his appetizer and the crab cake which came with an arugula salad on the side. He said the brussel sprouts were delicious. He also enjoyed the salad but we both thought the crab cake was smaller than what they said. On the menu it said a "jumbo" crab cake and it was not what I would expect for something called "jumbo". His lunch also came with a dessert and he chose the key lime pie. We got that to go because we wanted to enjoy it later. Well given its Easter Sunday, we eent for Brunch here with a 2 pm reservation. We weren't seated for almost 45 min after repeatedly being told table will be ready in 30 seconds. We finally got seated and the waitress, who was great, brought us water. A few? Minutes later she took our drink orders. After almost another 20-25 minutes our srinks finally arrived. 3 of us ordered Bloody Marys which were supposed to be garnished with shrimp, a bacon slice, a blue cheese stuffed olive a lime wedge and sliced jalapeños. Well, we were told they ran out of shrimp, and the bacon was just a tiny piece and no olive. I asked the waitress why and she said they're ver busy so just ran out. I said the bar manager should have anticipated this and ordered more. One of our friends sent her's back but i and another guy kept ours though not happy. Our appetizers were very delayed getting out of the kitchen with only one or two of us at a time getting theirs. We were a party of 11 so some were finished before others even began. We gave our main course orders while still waiting for the apps. When the mains started to arrive they also came out a couple at a time. 2 ladies ordered chicken and waffles as their main course and guess what we learned after about 5 minutes that they ran out of waffles!! I told the waitress i know its not your fault but both the Chef and the Bar Manager need to order what they anticipate they'll need plus maybe 10%. So the ladies were told they could order off the dinner menu instead of the brunch menu. One ordered a RibEye steak the other a Filet Mignon. RibEye was cooked to the desired temperature but the Filet came out purple inside, so, back it went for another try at medium rare and once again came out purple cold center. Another try again and it came out well done!!! My god!! The restaurant mgr took off the charges for her which well he should. This is an upscale restaurant and its prob due to crowded conditions, but its been open for years now so I don't know what happened. Maybe new management, who knows. The waitress was very apologetic and said she was embarrassed by the whole thing and that she never had this kind of experience before here. So don't pass it by, just don't go on a big holiday. read more

Came to oceanic for brunch. Where we were sat had a great view of the ocean, and a warm breeze. We got calamari appetizer, which was amazing! Some of the best I had. Is this Resturant a few times but yesterday 2/15/26 was an awful experience. Shortstaffed or just not interested in providing service. About 4:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday not really busy. Plenty of high top tables available, but would not seat us a party of two. We have driven out of our way to go to this restaurant looking for a good experience, but ended up with the worst experience. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be back. We had a good late lunch at another restaurant nearby and when we walked on the pier, we noticed that still there was plenty of tables available. In fact it was mostly empty. I don't know what the problem is with management of this restaurant but unfortunately I don't think they care. read more

Unfortunately I didn't know this in advance and didn't want to wait 2 hours for an outdoor table. We sat inside and could still at least see the water. It was really cold inside, even with the doors open. The waitress was very friendly, and quick to check on us. The food was really good and definitely a highlight for this visit. They have a kids menu, it's just not listed on the main menu. The prices are what you would expect for a spot on the beach. We came here Sunday evening and the place was fairy busy. Outdoor and indoor seating, I wanted to sit outside however it was so windy that day we sat in the booth inside. For starters we tried the calamari that comes with a smoked tomato aioli. To me the sauce was delish different and I kind of liked the tomato based verses a mayo one. However my girlfriend decided to ask for another sauce that came for some sandwich. I got a white sangria for my cocktail that was perfectly made with a hint of sweet love . Entrees we did the burger and the lobster ravioli . The burger was cooked to the perfect temperature and seasoning. Chefs kiss . Lobster ravioli on the other hand kind of left me slightly disappointed. Can't pinpoint if it was the sauce together or just the ravioli itself but didn't wow me . I made an early morning reservation (around 9am) on 3/17 for dinner at 7:15p same day for my girlfriend's birthday. I had to make the reservation on Resy, and some questions included occasion, allergies and special requests. On Occasion I put birthday, Allergies none and on special requests I asked for 2nd floor patio, with the best view of the ocean and scenery for the occasion to make it special for her birthday. We arrived at around 7p, and got escorted to our "reserved table" immediately... to my surprise not at the second floor patio because "it's for special events" the hostess commented, not sure why a beautiful restaurant like this would limit their seating to the full venue... but I guess they know what they are doing. As we walked through the dining room towards the outdoor terrace there were a few empty tables and We got sat at the back of the terrace with little to know view of the beach infront of a massive tree. Ignoring my request on my resy reservation for the best view possible. My girlfriend ordered a margarita that took a little long to receive, the server apologized and explained that there was training going on, weird time conduct a training for a new bartender during dinner on a holiday evening but, we weren't in a rush so didn't mind the delay. As we waited and enjoyed the ocean breeze and the view of the massive tree... there was a party next to us that was also celebrating a birthday, they brought them a sparkler and some type of dessert. Was looking forward to the same since I was preemptively asked on Resy if the dining experience was for a special occasion. The food and service were pretty good. Table side tuna tartare was a little under seasoned but my girlfriend and I enjoyed our entree. When it came towards the end of the meal, the server asked if we would like anything else, I asked for an espresso, came to the table pretty quickly along side with the bill... giving me the hint to hurry to get the table rotated, even though we decided to come to this restaurant instead of the other locations near by for a birthday celebration. The espresso was cold and with zero "crema" the foam found on freshly brewed espresso. Must've been an older espresso was sitting out or some left over in the tin cup from a prior pour from the last batch... We paid the bill, had the rest of our drinks and headed towards the exit. I decided to ask the hostess "what was the reason for asking all these additional questions during a reservation process..." she explained that is for them to review the occasion and accommodate as needed, I then followed with the scenario of a birthday, which she explained "we bring a slice on cake with a candle" so I said thank you for the information and walked away towards the exit. All in all, don't expect anything spectacular dining here. Decent food and that's about it. Might want to check out next door for a slightly elevated experience ;) read more

This restaurant is right off Pompano Beach near the Pompano Pier. It's a beautiful restaurant, the inside was massive, it looked very elegant for a restaurant right off the beach. We sat on the patio in mid July and it was perfect. There was a cool breeze and there were ceiling fans going so it felt good. Only bad thing I would say is that the vegetation near the patio nearly blocks out the entire view of the ocean so that a little disappointing. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and although it was good, the portions were a bit small. We also ordered a bread basket, which felt like it could've been complimentary. We had 7 people on our party and everyone ordered a variety of things. All the food was good, but not great. The best thing ordered was the fish of the day, it was grilled, came with rice and veggies. You got the entire fish and it was really good. Everything was really good, our server was a bit slow considering they weren't that busy. She made a suggestion for my cocktail since she's a bartender and I didn't like it very much. We requested outdoors with ocean view. She promised a table closest to the ocean. However, when we got there, she only had a table 3 rows away from the ocean view. I told her what we were promised, but she said it'd be a 45-minute wait. So we accepted the table. Just 10 minutes after we sat down, not even a glass of water had reached our table yet, a table closest to the ocean view opened. We thought we would be seated there. Oh no, the hostess took 2 older ladies straight to it. We couldn't believe it! So, right there, I dropped 1 star from the rating. Our server was Alexis, who was very nice, professional, and attentive. She stopped by several times to check on us. We appreciated her. I ordered the Lobster Roll with a side salad. It was good but not the best I have tasted. The roll tasted like a hot dog bun that had been overheated. They did not skimp on the lobster, though. My daughter ordered Chicken n Waffles. She thought it was good. She had the Strawberry Margarita and liked it. I had an Iced Tea, which was fine. We thought the restaurant was beautifully designed and decorated. The place was filling up. It was very loud outdoors from various conversations. A family next to us were having disagreements and using the F word loudly and consistently. They quieted down after a while. It was an interesting afternoon there. The parking availability is street parking, and there is a parking garage about 2 blocks away. In short: Absolutely beautiful views, ambiance and (mostly) good food I came here for a romantic dinner date and they definitely delivered. The ambiance was perfect, they sat us right next to the water under a beautiful full moon . To start, he ordered a beer and being a rum lover I got the pompano punch which is made with Don Q Puerto Rican rum (bonus points, my favorite rum). Not overly strong but just right. To start.. we got the sun kissed shrimp that comes on a slightly spicy Thai Cole slaw... this is scrumptious! I would get this again. I got the crab cakes and my companion got the mahi mahi. The mahi was dry and overcooked... they could've done better with that one. My crab cakes were delicious, the right amount of succulent crab. For dessert.. my companion loves creme brûlée so that was our choice. The sugar crust was super thin, the custard consistency was way off, and it seemed to be not very fresh. He gave this honest feedback to the server which I agreed with. The server was attentive but they made sure to give us the right amount of space. Overall, it was nice experience but I had to take off a star due to the poorly done mahi.You are on the water (charging those beachfront prices as well) so you should be able to deliver. We traveled up from Melbourne to celebrate our anniversary at Oceanic, and as always--it was so worth it. This was our 3rd or 4th time dining here, and it somehow gets better every visit. The views are incredible, especially if you can time it with the sunset. The atmosphere is relaxed but elegant, and the staff always makes you feel welcome and taken care of. For a special occasion, this place really hits the mark. The seafood is fresh and flavorful, and every dish is beautifully presented. From the appetizers to dessert, everything was spot on. As I live nearby, I have dined at Oceanic many times and have always experienced good food and service. However, ordering out is a different story. I placed a takeout order on Valentines Day but early enough that it wasn't during their busiest hours. Ordered the two crab cakes dinner, churrasco steak dinner, and key lime pie. The good: crab cakes were good, plenty of crab meat, churrasco steak was cooked perfectly to medium rare, and the key lime pie was good. The bad: the crab cake dinner is supposed be to come with an arugula salad and a small amount of asparagus. None of that was there, just the crab cakes. What makes the churrasco steak so good is the chimichurri sauce, but no sauce included. Placing a $100 order should have an expectation of a complete order, but Oceanic fell short of that. Not sure if I will frequent this restaurant any more. read more
