Decided to take a road trip for spring break and ended up in Myrtle Beach! Found this place randomly searching for activities to do in the area. Cant go wrong with a helicopter tour, right? The prices were cheaper than other helicopter tours we have done in other states. You can choose the route you want to go and that determines your price as low as $20. The only down side was the tour didn't include noise canceling headphones and you had to purchase them separately. Besides that the staff was friendly, and our pilot was nice. He engaged with us throughout the tour and the ride was smooth.

My first time taking a helicopter. It stated it was only $20.00 so I said what the hell try it. We ended up doing the $40.00 it was longer and more views over the water as well. It also includes the headphones/speaker which is not included. The pilot was friendly and informational. It's a short ride but nice experience.

The view was absolutely gorgeous! The pilot was so nice and gave us some back story on Myrtle Beach and even pointed out some sea turtles as we were flying over the ocean. It was absolutely gorgeous!

Got lured in for the $20 helicopter ride and we somehow got roped into the $60 ride. People working there are nice and process is easy to navigate. Wasn't a long wait even though many people were there- they have their system down pat getting people in and out quickly and safely. The pilot was super nice and had us wear the headphones even though we didn't pay the extra for them. It is stated they work for tip (before getting on) so we gave him $20. All in all, don't go for the bigger packages. Just do the $20 for the the thrill of going up and seeing everything. I don't think the larger packages are worth the money.

Stopped by here on the way out of Myrtle beach and saw the sign advertising $20 helicopter rides. Thought we'd give it a try since neither one of us had ever been on a helicopter ride. We got the $80 ride which was about an hour long. It was sooo worth it! Such beautiful scenery and our pilot Chris was amazing and so full of knowledge! We will definitely try this again in a different city if given the opportunity!

Super fun! We took a longer ride and we felt it was so worth it. There is a 20 dollar ride, but we paid extra to ride longer, and it was so much fun with a nice pilot and cool information he gave us about our surroundings! We didn't want to tell him we knew all he was saying because we are locals! Lol!!

Wow my first time in a helicopter. The views were amazing, way better than the big wheel. Great friendly pilot. I have to do it again.

Extremely fun but with tax, I spent $86 for my 7 year old son and I to go for approximately 7 minutes. Very fun, but way too expensive.

During this time, I took my first flight with 1st CFI which was about 45min, I asked a ton of questions as to who would be my flight instructor, how long it would take and the cost. I was advised that the flight instructor will depend on a few factors, My schedule and compatibility. Great! On my second flight I was introduced to 2nd CFI, an older retired military pilot, we hit it off right away, during our first flight he introduced me to a few maneuvers, Slow flight and S-turns, he then asked if I have ever flown before, I advise just as a passenger. Things went well for the next 5 flights, Then Covid hit, for 3 months the school was closed. On 5/14 /2020 the school opened up and I was called, at that time I was advised the 2nd CFI would not be coming back so they paired me with a Younger CFI, I was concerned about this and because I began with 2nd CFI and already had time and money invested. It was explained to me that my log book will tell the story and not to worry because I would not have to start all over again that the new 3rd CFI will just continue where I left off with the 2nd CFI. I said OK and began working with 3rd CFI. We had flown from 05/14 /2020to 08/24/2021 fly approximately 3 to 4 times a month with some cancellations due to weather, maintenance and other life events. On 08/24/2021 we were scheduled to fly to Conway but I was advised that it would be my last flight with 3rd CFI as he was picked up by an airline which was great for him but my concerns grew once again, because I would have to work with yet another flight instructor. The next three flights were with 4th CFI, which was one of the worst instructors I had encountered in any profession. On the third flight I cut the flight short because he was too cavalier with safety and more concerned about building hours for himself rather than instructing. I had a conversation with him and provided him some feedback and explained that I cannot fly with him. At this point I was going to go elsewhere, the original owner at the time, apologized and got a new instructor and again my concern was time spent on training and money. She introduced me to my current instructor 5th, I was with him a few times and we also hit it off well. Here comes the hammer, the original owners decided to sell and retire, I was again concerned because I had accumulated 49 hours of flight training, 13.72 ground training and spent $10,785. Again, I was told not to worry that my logbook will tell the story and not much will change. Now 60.4hrs flight time, 21.64hrs ground a total of 82.32hrs and $13,720 spent, I was once gain mislead, the new owner has implemented a new process 6 months after he took over and without notice. According to this new process I am only now 30% completed and my instructor stated that unfortunately the time I spent with the school and instructor prior only will count as experience only. I didn't understand, experience comes from flying; I am paying them to teach. This feels to me as once the new owner took over everything prior is a wash. Now I am stuck, this is horrible.

This one was a refreshing break from mini golf and arcades and fun for both kids and adults. We had a pretty large group and some did the zip line course and some braved the adventure park (aka ropes course). We had lots and lots of fun, overcame some anxiety, and had a few sore muscles to show off our achievements. I also owe a big shout out to George, who was amazingly patient with my crew and helped coordinate the outing so that we all started/finished around the same times. I also heard from the kids that their guides were fantastic. They were especially impressed that they remembered every single person's name for an event that lasts only a few hours.

The zip lines were very fun, and all three guides took every measure to ensure our safety, creating a good sense of trust. We all felt like a group of friends by the end of our tour. They also take photos at the beginning, middle, and end of the tour with specific spots for photo ops which I truly appreciate! (You do have to pay for the photos.) I will absolutely recommend The Swamp Park to friends and family! We plan to come back and try the ATV tour next!

I have found all the instructors to be extremely competent and professional. Also hardworking and willing to go out of their way and adjust schedules to meet their students needs. The aircraft are well maintained and availability hasn't been an issue. They have onsite maintenance if any issues arise which keep the planes flying and students progressing. The school itself is inside a well maintained facility with a fun lounge. Plenty of space to study before or after flights. They also do charter flights and helicopter rides so there's always lots of activity. The SC weather is also good for training with lots of VFR days and lots of good views of the coast. My flight teacher was so nice, he let me fly almost the entire time-but he was obviously helping me out. I got to do everything but land. That's the hardest part he said. I've done a lot of crazy and adventurous things in my life but this has to be one of the most memorable. They gave me some financing options when I asked and answered all of my 500 questions and never seemed to mind me driving them nuts with all the questions. I'm just a very detailed person and I like to know all the info. No question, I am getting my license! And I'm doing it there. They have a beautiful new building that takes up an entire city block (no joke), packed with cool flight simulators and stuff and it just feels like a big, fun pilot playhouse-yet professional at the same time. I can't really describe the place other than to say FUN! There were a lot of kids (full time airline pilot cadets in training) that looked to be in their early 20's or maybe late teens buzzing around in the learning labs and hallways that made me feel 20 years younger just by the energy in the place. Everybody was talking about airplanes and helicopters and were kind of working together to help one another learn using all the cool 'toys' the school has. I've never been in a learning environment quite like this. So cool! These guys have totally changed the way school is run. If I could go back in time I would've easily chosen this route instead of wasting 7 years in college and post grad. Seriously rethinking my current career in the legal world now! I can't wait to take my son there next weekend.

We ended up loving it so much that we decided to extend our stay for an extra night. The location was honestly perfect. There was a Walmart nearby, the boardwalk and boardwalk mall were close, and there were plenty of restaurants within a short distance. The beach access was in a great spot, and the entire area felt very clean and safe. The outside pool area was modern, well maintained, and very inviting. The breakfast advertised in the lobby definitely lived up to expectations. Every morning there was a fresh breakfast along with a fun waffle-making station, which we really enjoyed. The staff throughout the hotel were extremely friendly and welcoming. There was also a restaurant on the main floor with a great atmosphere, and the food was very good. There were only two downsides during our stay. The kids' splash pad -- one of the main reasons we booked this hotel -- was unfortunately out of service the entire time due to needing a new pump. We understood that these things happen. The other issue was that the rugs in the room did not seem very clean. We ended up keeping our shoes on in the room, so it wasn't a huge issue for us personally. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely book this hotel again

The hotel staff were friendly and professional throughout my stay. There was also a gentleman working during breakfast on Sunday morning (I didn't catch his name) who was especially helpful and attentive. He had on a red shirt and long hair. Service like that truly makes a difference. That said, there were a couple of downsides. My oceanfront room had a noticeable wet dog smell, which was disappointing. Also, the $25 per night parking fee feels excessive. I've chosen to stay at this property for quick beach trips over the last 10 years, and unfortunately, the parking situation alone will likely keep me from returning. I also want to note that the hotel is currently under renovations (it is the off-season), so that's something to keep in mind when booking. While I'm not disappointed in the staff at all they were amazing the added costs and room issue were enough to make me reconsider staying here again.

Heads up: * The property shows its age in places and it was a little loud at night. My ONLY HUGE complaint was the wifi and TV. Unfortunately since the wifi was acting up, we were not able to watch any TV as all they had were Netflix, Hulu, all wifi based platforms.
