My family and I had a great experience with Blue Wave! Our boat Captain Scott and his first mate were entertaining and knowledgeable! The cruise was fun and we saw many dolphins! Thanks for a great experience!

My family and I went on the Dolphin tour Wednesday July 10th. It was great. The Captain and his assistant were nice, funny and knowledgeable. We saw several dolphins swimming around and a few came within a few feet of our boat. My kids loved it. The tickets were priced decently. The tour left on time. We had no complains.

Great tour! Two hour dolphin tour. Saw several dolphins and bonus a canon jellyfish! Which we were able to touch. Informed guides who were very nice and accommodating. Boat was comfortable and really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend.

This would have been a nice adventure for our family if it wasn't for the weather. It's was really cold and rainy on this day and when I say COLD it was FREEZING. The crew was great and Thank you so much to the nice lady that gave my Mama a plastic bag to try stay dry & warm

We went on the dolphin tour and had a blast. The Captain was fun with a sense of humor, and very knowledgeable. You can tell he loves what he does and how much he cares about the oceans. I was impressed that he spent about 5 to 10 minutes educating everyone about the importance of keeping our oceans safe and clean, and the small things we can do to help, like reducing plastic waste and picking up trash on our beaches and oceans. I was also surprised and very excited to find out this is a Net Zero tour! He even gave a shout out to 4ocean.com which is a great organization. Check it out right now if you never have. We didn't see any dolphins but we did see some leatherback turtles and cannonball jellyfish. The turtles are HUGE and it was cool to see them up close in their natural habitat. I could have stayed on that boat all day! The marina is in a good lactation in Murrells Inlet with several seafood joints around it. There is a cool vibe there and I highly recommend this tour. It's entertaining for the kiddos and educational for the whole family.

This was a highlight on my vacation. The captain was nice and friendly, but also straight forward and to the point. He made it 100% clear that he could not guarantee dolphin sightings. Also, he kept the kids/parents in check about the rules of the boat. You are on the ocean people, it can be dangerous if you're not safe. The tour is about an hour and a half, weather was awesome, and going early meant we had fairly smooth waters, i would recommend going early. Fun and entertaining, I highly recommend. We did see dolphins, but being on the open water was my favorite part. Will go again next time we are staying in Myrtle.

Captain Mark is enthusiastic and clearly has a passion for what he does. We really enjoyed our adventure today, got lucky, and saw dolphins! My 6yo son had a lot of fun and was laughing when we'd get splashed by water from the waves. Highly recommend this experience! Even if you don't spot any dolphins, the boat ride is nice. They're wild dolphins and it isn't a guarantee you'll see any but don't let it ruin the fun, there's plenty to see.

This year was our second time doing this tour! Every year we love it! This year it was a little choppy so I did get a little woozy. Please keep sea sickness in mind for this tour. Also do not be that person that arrives late. We had to wait a few minutes for people to get aboard. It clearly states on the website to arrive 45 minutes early! There are plenty of things to do before the boat takes sail. You won't be bored waiting and the rest of your sailmates won't hate you for the whole trip. The captain is very knowledgeable about the ocean. He keeps it entertaining and informative. I definitely recommend participating in this tour!

Don't miss out on this dolphin tour if your staying in the Myrtle Beach Area. It was about a 30 minute drive from our hotel on N Ocean Blvd. Located in Murrells Inlet off the Marsh Walk. Plenty of restaurants to grab a bite to eat after. The crew were awesome and hilarious. They told us we weren't guaranteed to see any dolphins as they are wild animals but they would try their best to track them down. We had an amazing time and saw plenty of dolphins even if we didn't I'd still give this 5 stars just because of how awesome the scenery and crew / captain was. And for only $31??! Will definitely be back if I find myself in Myrtle Beach again. Excellent job guys

You can board the boat up to 90mins prior to leaving which they refer to as happy hour- however, do not be misled as there is no happy hour although you can order when you board. You will also have assigned seat. The seating is very close together and not that comfortable. The first experience in October wasn't as crowded and was a little cooler so I'd advise to bring extra layers because of the wind and since it will be dark on way back. The drinks were not strong at all and I could not taste any liquor. We were also seated on opposite side that did not face sunset although you get the view regardless, it was crowded trying to get any pictures. We wanted to return in the summer for the experience and it was crowded, however, I'd say we lucked out with seats at the end which is most ideal because as I said, they are so close together. Again, drinks were not that strong.. I am always drawn to order the mixed drinks but end of saying I should have gotten wine or beer as at least I know whats in it. It's definitely for tourists but it's be nice if they changed things up, particularly with the music, it's a bit cheesy and repetitive.. and it was the same in October and August. The ride is actually long and I even feel it could be cut shorter if it was more comfortable and spacious experience.

Two friends with us ordered a daiquiri and Piña colada with doubled shots. You could not taste any alcohol at all. Requested from the waitress about the issues of the two drinks. She never came back to our table. After 30 minutes another friend decided to requested new drinks for them from the bartender downstairs. She was given an attitude from the bartender and the owner Todd. We found out the drinks are made with wine base liquor, which is a mixture of wine and water. This is not listed in the menu. Would not recommend and we will do a different boat ride next time from another company.

(Kinda like your grandpa if he was smoking a pipe.) We got to touch a crab, an urchin with a starfish, and a jellyfish, and the guide was very patient with us taking pictures. Also, she poured cloudy water into a tank of oysters and we got to time and watch them clean it - more fascinating than it sounds. The captain took us to an inaccessible (except by boat, or maybe during low tide) beach where we got to walk in the water and search for shells. I agree with another reviewer that I wish we had more time on the beach. On the way back, the captain shared the history of the area and told us about Goat Island as we passed by. We had a lot of fun and it was a great start to our day. We both enthusiastically recommend the tour. (I wouldn't recommend eating at Drunken Jack's afterward, however. See my other review.)

At that point , the sun was just coming up over the horizon and was beautiful , bouncing off the water. I could see that the crew was working feverishly to make sure everything was prepared for the half day sea bass cruise , we were about to take. After retrieving our tickets from the upstairs gift shop, my son and I anxiously awaited the loading of the vessel. Once on the ship , we chose our location at the stern. I can see that the rods were already waiting and rigged up for the days festivities. It was delightful that the crew welcomed us on the vessel with smiles and a hearty welcome aboard! We were there told to just sit back and relax while they handled unsecuring lines as well as making sure all the passengers were accommodated. We then quickly went out of the harbor waving at everyone we passed. Once we left the harbor it was an hour long trip around fifteen to twenty miles into the blue horizon. When we arrived at our location, we were provided squid for bait. I brought some medium shrimp as well so as to provide a variety for the daily catch. Several seabass and blues were caught, with the seabasa being measured per the law. Most were found to be undersized so they were returned to grow for a future trip. When we started fishing we were offered entry into a raffle for a free future trip ($2) so I handed the mate my money and awaited the fate. Throughout the time , we would catch fish and several of the mates would be awesome and remove the fish from the hook as well as helping to untangle lines. At the end of the day , my son got the biggest fish so we were so excited for him. We tipped the crew and watched one of them even clean our fish for us. It was a great trip , and we look so forward to coming back. The crew did an amazing job making this memorable moment awesome for this dad and his son. We also enjoyed talking to crew member Lucas while the boat was being docked.
