Marsh boardwalk

Quiet peaceful boardwalk with many restaurants to choose from and beautiful views of the marsh!

Marsh walk is a great way to walk off a meal and see a bit of the marshes. Don't miss Goat Island behind Drunken Jacks. The walkway is clean and easy to traverse. It is a great place to walk before or after enjoying the many restaurants and bars along the marsh walk. It is also a great way to acclimate to the area to find out what is available to do on the inlet.

Unique boardwalk among the marshes of the inlet. Wooden boardwalk, easy walk for all abilities. Several scattered benches to sit and enjoy people watching. Several restaurants attach to boardwalk so bar hopping is easy. We hear it is a great place at Christmas. Santa is at the end of pier at Christmas. Worth an afternoon stroll.

If you in the Myrtle Beach area, you definitely need to drive about 20 minutes south and visit the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet. The view of the inlet is fabulous and if you are there during low tide, you'll see a good number of oyster beds. As for restaurants, we'll there be s something for everyone. The Tuna Shak has a band playing outside most of the time and their drinks definitely flow. Drunken Jack's has some of the best food in tow and a beautiful view of the inlet as well as goat island (go to Drunken Jack's and read about Goat Island on their menu). Dead Dog Saloon has good food and if you're a dog lover, it a must see. That's just a few of the places but the Marshwalk is great time for adults. Probably not as much for younger kids.

Visited mid summer as well as early November. A great place to visit when down in the area. Had dinner at one of the many restaurants along the walk, and afterwards, walked along the boardwalk. Happened to time it out where the sun was setting and managed to get some pretty good shots. On a Thursday night, there seemed to be lots of entertainment such as live bands and or singers. Definitely a cool place to hang with lots of places to grab a drink or eat some food Always look forward to visiting.

Great views, definitely prime people watching area. Lots of restaurants with outdoor seating with the views of garden city off in the distance.

Still is and has been one of my favorite places to visit. I love the family or date night or girls night fun you can have here. There is something for all day and night. With restaurants to satisfy any craving or price range, beautiful goat island to look at, many boats to rent or cruises to do, and the walk on the marsh-this is the place!! The scene here is so different than it is in Myrtle. It is quaint, safe, and laid back. I really wish they had more hotels or motels near here so THIS would be the detonation instead having to stay in Myrtle and drive the 30 minutes. I know that Murrells Inlet wants to keep their town quaint though and so I understand. If you are looking for something fun, free to do unless you purchase food or drinks- this is your place!! You can always here many types of live music and sit on one of the many chairs overlooking the water. 5 out of 5.

Partly under construction, as you can see in my photo thru the chain link fence. Be careful where you park, some of the restaurants tow. Good way to spend 45 minutes walking near the Marsh. Many restaurants but not many shops.

The Marshwalk is so great. There's plenty of things to see and do. I don't know why it took me so long to check out! There's restaurants lining the dock so you can stop in and grab lunch or dinner and there are also little bars set up outside to grab a drink and enjoy while you walk. They also have local vendors selling their crafts. At night live music flows through from these restaurants and it just has a nice relaxed summer vibe. You can take a private tour with a pirate or ride a boat if you wish or just walk around with your friends and family and take in the views. A lot of the restaurants have great happy hours so its a good place to go grab some inexpensive yet yummy fare. Marshwalk is what you make it. It can be a free night of just walking and enjoying the sights or you can make it a pricey night with dinner, drinks, and a boat ride. I like the flexibility.

I love walking the Marsh Walk in Murrells Inlet. You can park along the main road and access it from in between the restaurants. There's no charge to walk along the dock. You'll walk by restaurants and bars which vary greatly in theme and design, and you'll even see several venders selling hand crafted products. You can access speed boat rides, parasailing trips, jet ski and paddle board rentals, and sailing trips from here as well. Read up about goat island which is visible from here as well. You can walk over to the marina and walk out onto the long board walk jutting out into the marsh as well which is completely free. This is the perfect place to take a sunset walk for a date or with the family after dinner. If you love seafood, pick any of these fine restaurants for dinner and look out into the marina as you dine and drink. It is after all the Seafood Capital of South Carolina!

It seems after much frustration, they did something different this year and had openings so I booked over thanksgiving. I planned to leave a bit earlier but we decided to leave closer to 5 and what would normally be a 30-40 min drive was about an hour and a half. The traffic was backed up, which is no surprise but there is likely improvements that can be done here-- like checking tickets at gates rather than another option. We also had a handicap decal but no one directed where it would be, I guess we had to ask or notify sooner. Once we got through the gates, we were moving. Parking was quite a bit away which was challenging for my mom who has some hip issues. We got in, no issue and I was concerned about making it all the way through but there's plenty of time to slow down and enjoy. The had hot chocolate which was the perfect touch of a freeezing night, as well as alcoholic options. The indoor train exhibition is also a must see! Overall, I would highly recommend, it was absolutely beautiful and an experience to ring in the holidays. Get there early to enjoy and make sure to check for tickets and follow for when they go on sale!

I'm finally getting around to reviewing Brookgreen Gardens after visiting for the holiday lights,…read moreand I was completely blown away. The entire experience was so well organized, and everyone working there was incredibly kind and helpful. Walking through the lights was mesmerizing. The level of dedication and hard work that goes into putting something like this together really shows. I also loved that you could grab a glass of wine while walking around, and there was a good food selection with options for everyone. It's such a special experience and truly something people of all ages can enjoy. So grateful we got to experience it--absolutely worth it and something I'll never forget.
