I would give 3 stars for the hotel and 5 for the location. Staff was friendly and breakfast was the typical Hampton. Room was in poor shape. Shower shelf was broken off and fixtures were loose. Stains on the carpet. Poor paint. However, the view was amazing. Can't beat walking out the hotel and onto the beach. They also have a lazy river and pool.

This is a hotel I would stay in again.. The shower head and the vent needed to be cleaned are what kept this from being a 4/5. Also there was no notification that my room was available earlier than 4pm sent via email or the app. I just took a chance and got to the hotel at 3:30. The parking is $25. I had prebooked the parking at a lower rate via the app. they gave me code to put the rate back at what I had it at . Ocean View was amazing I will be back just please make sure the address the vents and shower heads!!

Hampton Inn now charges for parking-- $25 per night!!! I was shocked when I checked in, because this new charge was not posted nor was I made aware of it until I was standing there to check in. Never in my life have I wanted to find another hotel so badly. But wait!!! It gets worse! On top of the insult of now having to pay for parking... are the exorbitant room rates. And what, you might ask, do you get for $500/night in August??? ONE chair on the balcony of your penthouse suite and the balcony carpet covered in (I shit you not) someone's NASTY EFFING TOE NAIL CLIPPINGS. DISGUSTING.

Warm , Kind, Professional and Friendly We arrived early and with my Hilton Honors we were able to book into our room early. Everyone was so very kind. I did not realize how tired I was but I saw the bed and had a nice little nap. Some days are like that since chemo stole my strength. I go with how I feel these days. Bev and I picked the coldest day of the year to come to the beach. We were not deterred. The view of the ocean from our room was stunning. I opened the sliding glass door just to take in the ocean breeze and smell the fresh salt air. I closed it shortly after as I did not want to heat "all of Myrtle beach " ...as my dad used to tell me as a child. I was totally refreshed. I think Bev was exhausted as well. She took a quick nap on the couch. I watched a few brave folks walking the beach. ( It was cold and windy outside... remember? ) the sun was high up in the sky and not a cloud in sight. The water was constant motion as the waves danced upon the sand. Bev and I went downstairs to the REEL restaurant next to the lobby of this Hotel. Dave greeted us with a warm welcoming smile. Bev decided on a Pina Colada and I just wanted water. Dave created such a beautiful drink for Bev with whipped cream and dressed with a cherry and a huge slice of pineapple. Drinks arrived and we placed our order. Hayden was very professional and welcoming at the same time. He brought our meals to us made by Chef Manika. Both of our dinners were perfectly prepared. She did a wonderful job. Dave and Hayden work so well together. I could tell they really strive to make sure their guests enjoy themselves. Each one made sure we had everything we needed. Hayden was kind and chatted with Bev and I. We were not rushed and the food was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal experience. The next morning at breakfast ... Michelle greeted us warmly. She helped me carry my tray and get everything I requested for breakfast as my hand shakes a bit. I'm sure if I attempted to carry the tray half my food would be in the ocean and the other half on RT 17. She was very kind. Al and Gail were so friendly. Bev and I enjoyed speaking with them. Al has a great sense of humor and Gail's smile lights up the room. The breakfast choices are too many to name but if you go away hungry I'd say it is your own fault. Be sure to make time for breakfast here. I would be amiss if I did not mention Sharhonda. She worked behind the scenes..or text in this case. We felt like we had our own private connection to anything we needed in the Hotel. Contact Sharhonda and things got done. I ran out of shampoo in my room and Al arrived promptly to replace it. Thank you for a wonderful experience at the Hampton Inn and Suites Hilton Hotel in Myrtle Beach. Willie Conway and Bev.

What. A. Dump. Do Not Stay here. Do not be fooled by the few nice photos on their website this place is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life. I drove up the coast and I stayed in all Marriott properties and two Hilton properties Hilton you got two strikes you're out !never again ! upon check-in you will park in a parking garage that smells like urine and is filthy. You will then walk in to check in at an area that has a desktop fan going and looks like a defunct garage store - I literally thought I was in the wrong place. Notice they do not picture that check-in area on their website. The woman who checked me in was miserable. Her name is Amy and she gave me a hard time about my service dog staying in a "nice" room that another agent had selected for me, stating that some customers complaint of allergies. That is laughable because this place is so outdated and to put it nicely cleanliness not the word that I would use to describe the condition of my room so I'm sure my cute 18 pound dog would not have made a difference. Upon entering the room, the first thing I see is a filthy old carpet that is tattered and stained everywhere. The rooms are old and dated. There is garbage on the roof as you look down from your balcony. The bartender with a beard is a miserable jerk who complained about my service dog to a staff member as I entered the restaurant. needless to say, I did not patronize his bar. I was starving from driving all day so I did decide to have a flatbread and a salad. The only nice thing I can say about this restaurant is that the spinach salad was good. I could not wait to leave this property in the morning. You couldn't pay me to stay here another second. I would give this property a -10 if I could. Look to North Myrtle Beach you can do MUCH better. Oh, and the filthy urine scented parking garage cost $25 plus tax almost $30 a night which you have to go into your phone app and pay horrible experience. Avoid. For the record other guests had confirmed to me that they also had unpleasant experiences with the same woman upon check in and it sounds like their rooms were even worse than mine with holes in the wall. They too, could not wait to leave.

Oceanfront property, with several pools. Pools and our room were clean. Jennifer at the front desk was SUPER friendly and helped get us checked in. She was very sweet and we were glad to see her once again before checking out. Breakfast was decent. Plenty of parking available. The only thing that I wasn't thrilled with was the uncomfortable mattress (that's why I gave it four stars instead of five). I didn't sleep super well. Still had an overall great experience though!

    Hotel by the pool

The room was clean, needed updating but still looked nice. It had a full kitchen with pots and pans, dishes and a few utensils. I've machine downstairs. The beds were not very comfortable, but the bedding was nice, nice pillows! Housekeeping didn't come to collect trash or dirty towels, we had to put them outside the door and ask for replacements. Housekeeping didn't service us while our stay although the floor needed sweeping. There was a small, clean laundry there for $2 each. The pool was clean and had a shower to clean off. Pool towels were provided from our room. It's non smoking, but a space behind the hotel was provided. There was a $200.00 security deposit you get back once you check out. Staff were super nice!

Bathroom tiny but functional - but everything is dated.

First, I'd like to compliment the staff here at this Hotel - everyone I encountered on our short stay was LOVELY and went above and beyond (applause/applause/applause!). The VIEW is GORGEOUS. I mean HEY, you're right on the beach & it's really exquisite - that is the MAIN bonus for this location. I will say that the breakfast was good, with plenty to offer and the eating area was big & clean. They also (like most Hampton's) keep coffee, hot water, coco & hot tea available 24/7. Also, very pretty holiday decor. The DECOR - was sooooooo dated. It wasn't "unbearable" and the linens were all very clean & beds were very comfy (much more important those things). The carpets need replacing (please please please get LVP in these rooms!) and the furniture is so incredibly dated and worn. Again, it wasn't "unbearable", but when I pay over $340 per night it should not be so OLD (cracked tile floors with back grout, toilet seats, showers....OMG the toilet seat looked like it was from the 80's - that was a little gross). An added pet peeve - NO STREAMING?? There was on-demand available but the system is SO antiquated and you can't even tell what season/episode an icon is so you could spend hours just trying to find the episode you left off on in a series. It's been my 'rebellion' lately that if a hotel doesn't have updated STREAMING then I'm NOT STAYING THERE AGAIN. My hotel stays are almost always leisure, and we like to watch our Netflix or Hulu program in the evenings or stream a movie. It's just not OK in today's world to not have better tech - it's not difficult & most already have smart-tv's or access to devices. I shouldn't have to haul my FireTV Cube around with me on a trip.

TL;DR: Recommended. Clean hotel with good access to the beach. Multiple pools and free breakfast. ***Accommodation*** This is one of better maintained Hampton Inn with pleasant ocean views. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Free coffee throughout the day and hot breakfast until 10 am. Large dining hall for breakfast, and we always found empty tables. On-site parking at no additional cost. Special parking spots (30 min limit) near the entrance for check-in. ***Beach*** The beach was easily accessible and beach towels are available for guests. Grab them during check-in. Beach chairs and umbrella are available for rent from a third-party vendor on the beach for $45/day ***Food and neighborhood*** This hotel does not have a restaurant or a bar. There are not a lot of walkable food options. But multiple options for restaurants with driving distance. We maximized our time in water and got our food delivered for lunches. Drove to town for dinners. There is Walmart Neighborhood Market located within one block of this hotel. Note that this is just the Neighborhood Market and not a full-fledged Walmart. ***Overall*** I recommend this hotel for a beach getaway. For the price point, it is a good beach front property.

    Cockroach walking around bathroom.

This one was the exception! Right on the beach with amazing ocean front room. We could see the ocean from our bed. Very private, the balconies were shielded from the neighbors and even the pools below could only see us if we were out on the balcony. The views were quite stunning! In addition, the pools were nice plus you have multiple pools to choose from. In the evening, the 2nd floor patio with fire pit was great to hang out and relax. Parking is directly across the street in the parking garage. Very quick and easy to get to. Starbucks across the street as well. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

Check in was a breeze. Staff was super friendly. This hotel is located in a great spot...within walking distance to lots of eateries and direct access to the beach. All of the rooms have ocean views. Initially I thought the bed position was weird but I quickly appreciated waking up to views of the beach and ocean. Everything was clean and well appointed in our king room. My only complaint is that the towels were pretty bad and extremely thin, more so than any other hotel I've visited. We went to the bar on the second floor to people watch. It's a cute spot and has access to outdoor seating with a view and fire pits. Our drinks were just "ok"...I've never had ice in a French 75 and my husband's old fashioned was made with crushed ice and not a ball or large cube which was odd. There is ample parking in the deck across the street. Overall, a nice stay!

Since it was definitely post-season, we appreciated having fewer people around, making for a more relaxing stay. The weather was nice, although the water was a bit cold, but the view from the ocean-view villas was spectacular and truly beautiful. One thing I really liked was the on-site kitchen! It's a huge money-saver, especially for families. Even making one meal a day at home helps offset travel costs, and it was convenient to have that option. The hot tubs were a lifesaver since it was so cold outside, and they offered fun classes like s'mores for kids and aqua exercise classes, which added some extra entertainment. The gym was well-equipped, and the service overall was great. However, on our last day, the housekeeper knocked and entered immediately without giving us a moment to respond, that felt a bit unprofessional. Despite that, I still found the place and the area on that side of Myrtle Beach to be wonderful. If you're planning a trip, I'd definitely recommend visiting off-season for the best prices and a more peaceful experience!
