This hotel is located on the waterfront and their beautiful pool is too. The workout faces the pool and the pool has the waterfront view. This hotel has in outdoor indoor pool where you swim under the wall to get to each pool. A large splattering of outdoor chairs and tables makes a really fun waterside area to chill. I think this hotel is a great location for a fun business or leisure visit. I was lucky to get a first floor room w a pool view. read more

This isnt our norm to book a "hotel" in myrtle beach. But because we decided the last minute to visit, we didnt have a choice. We did our research and read reviews on different hotels. We usually try not to feed into some of the bad reviews- and we absolutely did not for this one. Our first day there, we walked into the lobby- noticed there was no ac. Maybe it went out or maybe bc there wasnt much foot traffic so they turned it off? We got into the elevator- felt no ac. The entire stay, which wouldve been like 3 nights- still didnt feel any ac in the elevators or the hallways! Our shower floor was dirty, could use some good scrubbing. There are no shelves in the shower to place our toiletries. Towels are thin and small- if youre bigger than a size 14... good luck on towels wrapping around your body. I didnt sleep well on the bed- bedding made me itch a lot. I did notice that their blankets were dirty and you can see it if the sun shined in and hit the blanket. It was almost disgusting but then again youre not supposed to sleep with the blanket thats why there are sheets under and on top. I put on socks to walk around the room and they got so dirty as if the room hadnt been mopped in over a month. Im not sure much cleaning gets done in this hotel. The same trash sat in the same spot during our short stay. The pool itself doesnt get cleaned nor does the patio, chairs remained the same wherever people moved them out of place. Trash wasnt being emptied because we threw our small personal pizza box in there and it stayed in there until we checked out! My daughter and I were always the first to be in the pool at 9am and probably the last as we just went to myrtle to "relax" in the sun by the pool. We didnt see a single worker out there cleaning or checking on things out at the pool. The pool was full of bugs and small trash. We just kept pushing the bugs away and remained in one spot of the pool. Staff at desk were friendly. We liked having a microwave in our room. Oh, we also had to clean out the fridge. Walls are thin or workers just love being loud in the am. Someone previously left ice cream and food in it. The location was awesome, literally a ten minute or less drive- so we didnt even have to wake up super early. I will NOT return to this hotel nor will I recommend it. read more

Initial room (2206) had bed bugs, I was only given a different room (2215) AFTER being bitten. Not a single employee checked to make sure new room had bed bugs or not, nobody checked to see how my bed bugs was doing or offer any medical, & nobody offered acceptable solutions as there has been no manager on duty to address this highly unsanitary and infectious concern! Even though i was told a manager would address it this morning! I haven't been given any refund, points, NOTHING and I'm expected to go with a bed bug bite AND possibly carry bed bugs back home with me!! read more

No issues whatsoever! The staff was pleasant during check in and out, room was clean. A little dated, but clean nonetheless. They accommodated my last minute late check out with no hesitation! The lobby is more than spacious enough to get work done, the lime water and cookies were a great touch. 3 star location, rather desolate around but I can't overstate how I've been here twice and both times have had wonderful stays. Only downside was the gym isn't 24 hours it's 6:00am-10:00pm! Will be back again! read more

I'm surprised the ratings for this hotel are so low. Glad we did not see them before we booked our reservation. We had two rooms during busy spring break season and were delighted from the moment we were greeted in the lobby until we left the hotel. Thanks to Sheraton membership, we enjoyed a wonderful free breakfast in the morning every service person we encountered was kind and helpful and smiling. The rooms are lovely particularly the bathrooms and the beds were clean and comfortable. My only suggestion was that they add more hooks in the bathroom for clothes and toiletry bags. We also found the rates to be extremely reasonable for what we got for our money. Five stars all around! read more

I was in town for a basketball tournament with my daughter and we truly enjoyed our stay. We never drive more than 10 minutes to get where we needed to be. Food, shops, restaurants, entertainment were all very close. The outside looks like an older building but the inside is newly renovated. Out rooms were clean and spacious with a balcony. There's a restaurant and bar inside the hotel if one wouldn't want to leave. The price was very reasonable and I would definitely stay here again. read more

We really enjoyed this hotel. The pool is indoor/outdoor and is awesome, it has a huge terrace facing Socastee River/Creek and the lobby is enormous and has a lot of seating. The rooms are modern and nice, our King bed room had a refrigerator and microwave and you can make coffee in the room, also free coffee in the lobby. The shower is gorgeous, but I think there is too much water pressure because we flooded the floor a few times. (You will need lots of towels) upper floors have balconies with a view is Socastee Creek with boats going by. read more

The ride towards this hotel was a bit scary. However, once close, the vibe changed. This was a really beautiful hotel. However, they are seriously lacking when it comes to guest confidentiality and security. As I was waiting to check in, I saw a college age boy come in (Kid A). He simply walked up to the desk, told her his friend's name (Kid B) and asked if he could check in/get the key as they were all staying together and Kid B had prepaid for the room. Instead of in any way verifying Kid A's identity via a government issued ID and contacting the person on the reservation (Kid B) to verify that that was OK/that they knew this kid, she simply took a credit card for the $50 incidental deposit (not even verifying that Kid A was the person on the credit card) and gave this unknown kid the other kid's room key. When it was my turn, though I did it in a light-hearted way, I brought it up. I asked how she knew that Kid A wasn't some secret psycho that saw Kid B's social media page, knew Kid B was going to be staying there that night and used that information to get into Kid's B room without permission? I mean she literally just gave some random kid another person's room key - a room that they hadn't even paid for and that they weren't on the reservation for. How did she know that the Kid A wasn't going to be waiting in the room to kill or otherwise harm Kid B? She laughed at the way it was presented but was "confident in her ability to instinctively know" he was telling the truth and that what she did was OK. Per the receptionist, she "has a sense for people". Besides, he "gave the correct name" on the reservation and she has Kid A's "credit card information". I also pointed out that as she hadn't even asked for an ID from Kid A, she had no idea who Kid A really was. And, as she hadn't seen his ID, how did she know that Kid A wasn't using a stolen credit card or a prepaid card? She kind of laughed and asked where would I get such an idea? I laughed and said Investigation Discovery...and the fact that I live in the 4th largest city in America. I'm paranoid about everything. I also wasn't asked for ID or a credit card either. All I had was a slip of paper from the other hotel (that had referred me there due to an issue with my room) - a piece of paper someone could have dropped and I easily could have picked up and used. Inside of my room, I found that they did not have the additional security lock that most hotels have. You know the chain or C lock near the top of the door. Other than that, the room was perfect. It was nice and clean and quiet. Bonus: If you go towards the harbor at the right time, you will see a pirate ship docked there. 5 stars for the hotel, 1 star for security. When my family and I arrived on 6/19/21, we were greeted as we walked in. As we were checking in, I was asked for a card for incidentals since our room was already PREPAID for via Expedia. The next morning recognized that there was a hold of over $800 on my card. Later that evening, I asked the young lady at the front desk why was there a hold on my card when the room was PREPAID and only needed $50 for incidentals. She then said that I would have to speak with the manager the next morning. I also asked about a microwave and she stated that some rooms have them and some don't, and that she could make sure one is put in our room on Monday, 6/21/21. She was so pleasant. On Monday, 6/21/21, I spoke with the manager regarding the charge on my account and apologized for that happening. He then stated to get in touch with my card company to get a contact so the night auditor at the hotel send the release code for the hold. I contacted my bank and they had never had any customer call to get a contact a release code for the hotel. I thought that was strange. I went back to the manager and explained that my bank could not give a contact and that the hotel would have to contact their merchant services to release hold. The night auditor said she would take care of it. That evening, I finally received notice that the hold was released. When we checked out on Tuesday, we still didn't have a microwave. The other complaint I have is that there were kids running in the halls above us and the short ironing board. To be there on part business and leisure, these problems made our time there more tense than anything. read more

Overall, this hotel came through in a clutch situation. Between the availability, the convenient location, and the very kind manager, I'm grateful for the experience my sons and I had here. While I rated the hotel 3 stars, it in no way expresses my gratitude for the kindness and understanding that I experienced. For that alone, 5 stars. The hotel did what exactly we needed it to do. It provided a safe place to rest our heads at night after each day of exploring. The overall room was pretty clean, but there was some dust in the ceiling vent in the bathroom and a few hairs on the shower wall. I was upset about the hairs but compared to what we had just walked away from with air bnb, I allowed myself to be grossed out by it for a bit and then just used disinfectant wipes to clean the shower. There is a thermostat situated on the wall in the room to allow you to individually control the temperature. I learned quickly about the humidity in South Carolina and the benefit of having central air. I recommend running it consistently to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Also, if the ac is off for hours at a time, the room starts to smell like we're in the humid south -- so yeah, keep it running. My sons enjoyed the pool and liked the option of indoor or outdoor swimming. You can access the outdoors by swimming under a divider. Of course they tried that for fun. Who wouldn't?!? The hotel serves breakfast and dinner each day, but it's not included in your room price. The bar/restaurant area is quite nice and spacious. We didn't try any of the food though because we had several food places bookmarked to try. Also, each day, there was ample parking in the lot located at the front of the hotel. Simple and easy! Again, overall I'm grateful for what this hotel provided my sons and I after a horrible air bnb experience. If you need a convenient location to stay that can meet your basic needs, I'd recommend this place for sure. read more

Please DO NOT believe the reviews. This hotel is HORRIBLE!!!! We stayed here for 1 night and it was the worst experience. We had booked 2 adjoining rooms but when we arrived, we were told someone extended their stay by 2 hours and the request could not be accommodated. That was totally fine but they could have called or notified us in advance of the issue. The girl at the front desk was on her cell phone the entire time. The rooms, pool & lobby were dirty. There was pubic hair on the toilet, the shower was dirty and had hair on it as well. The pool had a "film" on it and was freezing. There was a sign saying there were pool towels which there were none. The tables around the pool had rust and were broken. We found 2 used bandaids in the pool area on the floor and table. The bar/restaurant is closed on Sunday. The lobby had trash on the floor as well as a dirty paper towel sitting on one of the chairs. The room said it had a microwave but it did not. The mini fridge was plugged in but not cold. There was what appeared to be a blood stain on the wall. There was a bright light from the parking lot that shined in our room all night. Awesome hotel! Recently opened as the Four Points. Spacious rooms. Loved the waterfront balcony. The pool indoor/outdoor was big and loved the pool deck on the water front. Decent size gym also. Great location, convenient to many Myrtle Beach attractions. Very friendly staff and super delicious breakfast with a huge selection. Free parking. Check out the Boathouse next door, especially on Sundays. Can't wait to stay here again. Highly recommended! read more

This was a super last minute booking and it was so much nicer than any of the other hotels I have stayed at (that costed twice the price) in the last few weeks here in MB for my job. The front desk lady was so nice and super helpful, she even upgraded my room to the riverside view. Each room has a balcony, which was perfect to take my conference call on. It was listed at NEW HOTEL on Marriott's website so we bit. I think it should say refurbished hotel. There was a lot of evidence that this was not a NEW hotel but it did look recently renovated. The hotel is located on the intercostal waterway so you can have a pretty view of the Waccamaw if you are on the correct side. Otherwise you get a view of a parking lot. There is an indoor/outdoor pool but we did not use it. The lobby is HUGE so it is easy to social distance. The bar food was subpar so we would recommend you eat elsewhere. We got a suite and loved the extra space. The ac took a long time to cool the room, the bed was not as comfortable as beds in other Marriotts. The shower was great. It was not quiet. I don't know if the walls are thin or if they are still working on some rooms, but we could clearly hear doors slamming and when housekeeping was in the hall it was very obvious. We used points for me it was absolutely okay for "free" but I think if I had paid the advertised price I would have not been satisfied. There was nothing overtly terrible but the combination of noise, failure to reach a comfortable temperature and the not so comfy bed missed the mark for me. Went to check into Econo lodge and got sent here. Was told it was a huge upgrade. Besides being accused of smoking in my room/balcony and that the manger was gonna clean out my room while I wasn't even present at the hotel(even thought my number is on file) only to find out the people below me on the fifth floor are smoking on their balcony as we speak. The pool was freezing and the entire floor was covered in ants. Was trying to figure out if there was food somewhere and just ended up leaving to go to the beach. Shitty attitude from the bartenders I've been 21 for awhile but they couldn't seem to figure out my bday. Pubes everywhere in my shower when I checked in. So, I need to explain the most disgusting, unpleasant experience myself, Shawn Torday-Reo, Lorraine Simeone-Reo and Brody had on vacation a few days ago. So, about a year ago, we went to the mall by our house & we put in for the chance to win the car in the mall (as a joke) well we won the car. since we couldn't put the taxes down (it was like $18,000 and had to be done that day) so we took the vacation. 4 days, 3 nights. (we knew doing this we were going into a timeshare kind of deal and would have to deal with that at some point). so, fast forward to the vacation. we drove 13 hours with a 4 year old and finally got to the hotel Monday afternoon (7/12) around 3pm. The girl that checked us in was very nice and helpful. We get to our room and we all have to shower. It had this barn door (pictured below) that slid to open and close. Well, as you can see it came off EVERY time. Now, I even closed it watching to where it came off and you couldn't close the bathroom all the way without it coming off (which almost fell on Brody at one point). Still, we made it work and let it go. We're there the next day and the power goes out twice (we get it. it happens) I asked the apparent "Manager" Theresa? I believe, I asked her for a bandaid and she gave me a dirty look and made such a fuss about opening a drawer. Whatever, people got their days. Then I went to get coffee in the lobby (look at pictures below) as FOUR workers stood their laughing and staring right at it... still ignored it because it could have just happened. Lorraine took Brody to the lobby to explore Tuesday morning and asked them where something was and these boys at the front gave an attitude and told her to go and look for it. THEN, I take brody to the pool Wednesday morning and he has to go to the bathroom. We walk into (picture below) So, now that it's Wednesday I have had all those things happen and I just let it go. I ignored it because it was a nice hotel at a discounted price and I get it, stuff happens. So, Shawn and I go to BlueGreen Vacations in Myrtle Beach, SC(the timeshare people) and during their pitch started throwing numbers at us. Now, we ARE interested in doing it. It's good pricing and nice places. When I told them I wasn't comfortable putting all this money down with the hotel I was at, the accommodated me IMMEDIATELY. Put me on the phone with corporate, gave me $100 food vouchere, fixed the problem within... 20 minutes? SO THEY ARE NOT THE ISSUE. If you're looking for timeshares, go through BlueGreen Vacations. I love them. Anyway, they accommodated me with things and then asked if I wanted to move hotels for the night. Now it's 5:30pm and we need to go eat dinner. The hotel really wasn't that bad so it wasn't a big deal. We pick up Brody and Lorraine and wanted to freshen up for 15 minutes then go to the buffet. Shawn waited in the car as Lorraine, Brody and myself went up to the room. We walk in the room and the phone IMMEDIATELY rings (which makes me believe they watched us coming in) and I pick up the phone like ?? but was like "hello?" and a man on the phone states their looking for Shawn. I told them who I was and they could speak to me. The man goes "yes we got an email explaining the issues we had. I explained what we had seen but it wasn't a big deal and we had a night left anyway. This man turns around and goes "well, we're gonna ask you to check out." and straight out of pure SHOCK i go "wait.. i don't check out until tomorrow at 11?" he goes "we're gonna ask you to leave now". I said "wait, because there was problems with YOUR hotel, I'M getting kicked out?" he said "yes and it's not up for discussion" I said "well we'll be down there to discuss it in a second". I left Brody with Lorraine and called Shawn to meet me downstairs. We approach the front desk confused and annoyed. This man REFUSED to tell us why we were being kicked out. Did we cost you money? Did you lose a contract? Like WHAT IS THE REASON. He literally laughed in our face and called the cops lmfao. Lorraine comes down with Brody and obviously Brodys seeing what is going on. He's not crying but he's confused. I asked the man (who took his name tag off) before we came down, why he was doing this when we're 500+ miles from home. Still, ignored us. I called the complaint line and spoke to someone for 20 minutes explaining it and was placed on hold for 3 HOURS and realized they closed at 9 so i hung up. I've YET to hear anything. I called to check on reservation for a friend because I booked our rooms. One under her name and one under my name. Upon calling I encountered Will. I thought I was pleasant. I wasn't rude or condensing. He told me that he didn't have reservation under my name. I didn't ask him to check any other date because unknown to me, reservation a are looked up by date not name. I had no clue. I asked if I could speak to a manager. He got mad and hung up. I was like wow! What did I say wrong. Well, I called back. This time I got Jay Shaw the General Manager. He explained that reservations where looked up by date. How was I suppose to know. I have him my date and he told me that I in fact did have a reservations. When I started asking about my sisters reservations he said, "Ma'am we are really busy with guest right now".. I said "wait so what am I chop liver". I am a guest too right.. The culture--the way we treat our guest starts from the top down. I see why Will was so rude because his GM Jay Shaw is rude. read more

I can't say enough positive things about this hotel! The food, drinks, people, atmosphere, everthing was amazing!! We had an event here with over 100 people and everything was absolutely perfect and went smoothly.
