We were kind of apprehensive because of the mixed reviews but... we needed a new go-to for Chinese in the neighborhood and BAMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! It was soooo bomb.. several reasons. Let's start off with what we ordered: - Scallion pancake: layers on layers and layers. Crispy on the outside and chewy layers on the inside. There were so many scallions too. We really enjoyed the dipping sauce as well. - Crab rangoon: they were folded in cute little triangles with tucked in corners. Super flavorful with lots of imitation crab meat, not just cream cheese. - Kung Pao chicken: SPICY and good. Lots of veggies and peanuts. They did not skimp on the chicken either. Thank you! - Chicken and broccoli: My parter LOVED this. It is usually his go-to dish for Chinese so I am happy that he really liked it. He really liked that the broccoli had a crunch to it and it wasn't limp and soggy like most Chinese carry-outs. Then, the order came so fast! Like lightening speed. The delivery guy was so nice too. While in Harlem I had a taste for Chinese food and decided to try a different restaurant than the one I usually go to when I'm in the area. My daughter recommended this place because she recently tried their wings and loved it. I ordered a small pork fried rice, crab Rangoon and a Canada Dry ginger ale. It was ok. The pork fried rice was more like yellow rice with roast pork not the actual fried rice served at most Chinese restaurants. I prefer oily pork fried rice with more of a fried look to it if that makes sense. However, I really liked the crab Rangoon. They were stuffed really well and had a great fresh taste. read more

If I could do 2.5, I would. The place is decent, but the fried rice is often burnt or nothing more than yellow rice with some veggies. The egg rolls are on the soggy side, not crispy. The people who work here are cordial, but cannot, for some reason, ever muster a smile or genuine friendliness. I go here because it's convenient. It's across from the hellhole I currently find myself residing. The best, crispiest egg rolls from a chinese carry out I've eaten are at New Kam Sheng in the Bronx. I've had drunken noodle from other Thai restaurants and love it, here it's subpar. I ordered medium spice and all they put was crushed red pepper on time. This Chinese restaurant WAS my go to place. Their pork fried rice is one of the best I've tasted. However, I recently ordered from this restaurant and was highly disappointed. I ordered the chicken and broccoli lunch special and was faced with an unsettling piece of bone. I don't want to be rude, but the bone appeared claw-like. I contacted the restaurant and explained to them what I discovered in my food. They were indeed receptive and agreed to replace my meal. Although I wanted a refund, my coworker suggested I try something different and "safe". That will be the last time I order from there. I don't understand the low reviews. For a local, uptown asian/Chinese restaurant, it is one of the better ones, much better. Their dumplings are delicious. They use a thin dough and the filling is excellent. Due to dietary constraints, I've ordered the steamed chicken and broccoli and it was fresh and the broccoli was not overcooked. Let me start off by saying I love their food. Recently I ordered delivery and the courier called and when we made it downstairs there was no one there. It is bad enough they refuse to come up and I am understanding of that due to the building I live in and the area. With that being said, if you don't come up for your safety at least give residents time to come down from 8th for and a slow elevator. I called and complained to a man who was kind and did apologize but, told me I would have to come in and pick up my food. I have an illness that is difficult on my body and order so that I don't have to go pickup food. So this on the customer service scale was terrible. My order should have been redelivered and for the severe inconvenience they should have added even something small to my order as a good faith apology gesture. I told her that I was going to pick it up. Simple right? Clearly not. I get there and she sent the order out for delivery. I didn't give her the address! Really good Chinese food. It's a tad bit more expensive than other Chinese food spots in the area but it's definitely worth the extra couple dollars. Delivery took 20 min, perfect. I got beef with mixed veg in garlic sauce. Good no complaints. And scallion pancakes. They are my new fave they're delicious. So it's been established that the girl on the phone is rude. She is. Last time I went in person she forgot to put in my order when I placed it & said I'd be back. They she pretended it was indeed cooking yet I still had to wait an additional 10 minutes. I put up with them cause they're the closest to me but I should really try and find another place. BE PREPARED TO WAIT FOR IT. They will never deliver in less than an hour and that is being generous. I have never gotten my food delivered in less than an hour and 20 minutes, in fact my last order took over 2 hours. Saying this, I have only ordered twice giving them a second chance. Any time I have called to ask what is going on they say "yeah, yeah, on its way, very busy". I'm a very understanding guy, but when I've waited almost an hour and a half and then I am called to come downstairs (22 floors in a less than reliable elevator in my semi-converted project building) to get my food, I'm not terribly inclined to recommend this place. Now, I actually used to deliver food on a bicycle here in NYC so I can't, in good conscience, take this out on the delivery guy...but then again, he's the one that won't come up and deliver my food. If I had the intention of making part of the trip to get my food, I would have ordered pick-up from the Chinese place closer by. Like I said, it's 'fine' for this area. I made the mistake of ordering from here twice so I could hopefully save others from doing the same. DON'T DO IT...order some kind of cuisine you think you don't like if that is the only option...as long as they have a reputation for actually delivering the food. OR don't eat...if you're OK waiting for this, you'd be better off waiting until you have the time/ability to go and get something to eat when you want to eat because by the time you get this you'll be past hungry and will probably have eaten any kind of "snack" you might have lying around. read more
