I am disgusted with this place. I walked in and had a question about a product. The salesman, whose an older chubby Vietnamese guy, I simply asked him very nicely what color the cat eye nail gel turns after it's cured and he answered me very rudely saying "you're kinda slow, huh". How dare him call a customer slow for asking a question! Extremely rude and condescending. I don't know how this guy even works at this place. And then they joke around saying this is the place where people go to get talked shit to... horrible customer service never shopping there again read more

Everything went well. John and Chris are lovely and so helpful, but John is an absolute gem. He is so funny and shakes the time to walk you through understanding how to use the equipment for your nails. I'm a novice and he was sonkind to me. This is my spot, now, for all my nail care needs. read more

If you're a nail enthusiast in Los Angeles, this store is an absolute gem. There aren't many nail supply stores in the area, so Ocean Nail Supply is a treasure. They have everything you could possibly need: every nail system imaginable, dozens of top-tier brands, hundreds of polish colors, chrome powders, acrylic powders, dip powders, nail extensions, glitters, gem stones, nail art, brushes, and tools - you name it, they've got it. The variety and quality of products are impressive. I was assisted by John, who is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to understand the result I was aiming for, giving great recommendations and helped me find exactly what I needed to achieve my vision. Exceptional service and top-notch products. I highly recommend to anyone looking for high-quality nail supplies. read more

I've managed to find this place on a whim about two years ago and ever since then i've been coming back time and time again. John and his mom are absolutely wonderful and John is such a beautiful soul, we chatted for a good 15 minutes alone and he's so insightful and kind. They have so much stuff and are constantly updating their items, they even had the newest Kuromi set which I was DYING to get but had to hold back, love this place read more

I had this place bookmarked because I have recently started doing my own nails. This place is hidden in plain sight, you may pass it once or twice but it is on Crenshaw right next to 147th st. You have to ring two different doorbells to be buzzed in. I rang like four times because they were in the back talking. Once you walk in, it is towers of nail supply products. It is small and cramped and the staff will squeeze past you to refill supplies. I got a white nail polish and couldnt stay in the small aisles much longer. I searched for the dip powders but they were $8-$9.50 for the regular size, i believe an oz or a bit smaller. I was looking for the .34 oz so i can practice but they had none available. I found a small one in a box one of the ladies directed me to and the brand was something with an O. I wont try that again. All in all, the place was cool, a little pricey for a beginner but it could work for you read more

They have everything. They always have a special. I have been going here for years. Only wish they were open on weekends. Not sure if they changed that by now. read more

I'm all for the soak off to remove my gel and dip easily and then the blue cross cuticle remover. They have so many gel brands and colors but I just bought a few new regular polish colors. It's packed in the store and it's best to take the time to really look around. Cash preferred because you'll pay 2% to use a card. read more

I came in Thursday 2/11/21 and sooo glad I did because they did close the next day Friday 2/12/21 due to Chinese New Year celebration. They did announce on Thursday and all week leading to this date. This store DOES stand up for the hype in variety of brand and colors. The price is very reasonable (not expensive). The store will carry anything you need. Please keep in mind the workers are ONLY there to stock and watch that no one steals. They will NOT help you. They are told to direct any questions to the owner (cashier). They have parking in the front and rear of the location. I will certainly be back and spend my coins here. 1 star less because if it's packed and the owner is ringing up people - you are on your own. No one will answer your questions. They close weekends. Preferably you pay cash. If you use CARD to pay - bring your ID. There is a fee to pay (I believe 2% or $2 I can't remember). read more

The lady at the register was rude and made me feel profiled!! She didn't let me purchase my items with my debit card without an ID which i've never been required by any store to show my ID when purchasing with my DEBIT card!! i felt so discriminated against she treated me almost like i was a thief and it wasn't MY card. After going back a second time who I assume was the son was very nice and did not ask for my ID which i brought this time incase she acted the same way again which proved exactly what i felt. This place is racist and unprofessional. read more

Customer service was awful shit. I bought a base gal and it is look like used before. I called them to asked about change our return it and he said yes you can come to check it when I went their after 30 mins drive he shout at me and said we did not accepted and of course because I paid him CASH I don't have any chance to cancel my payment from the bank and finally he did not change the product or return my money never recommend to anyone. read more

Be careful! The daughter of the owner will try to scam you. She always adds extra items on my tab, and will only remove them if I ask about it. You will pay 15-30$ more if you don't pay attention to each item she rings up. Never coming here again, very shady, please learn some integrity and stop scamming people ! read more

TERRIBLE!! Lady put her hands on me ! Im a quiet shy person and i asked why she was writing down my bank card & drivers lisence she was ectreemly rude and told me to leave if i dont like it! She said it was "new policy" When she said this she tried pushing me and stepping on my foot ! I told her to stop n she proceded to lay her hands on me finally i moved from the crowded spot and was extreemly upset that this lady would do sich a thing with me being pregant! I told her to stop and that shes terrible at customer service i stormed off upset ! Prior to that she wouldnt asmwer any questions i had same with others before me . Plz dont go here ! I liked that the place was easy to find. Easy street front parking. The storefront door is secured by a buzzer gate. I pressed the button for access. It's a good thing I allowed extra time to browse around. There were plenty of nail accessories & supplies for manicures, pedicures, tips, all types of files, decor, colors and gels galore. The gentleman that helped me in the front was very hospitable and he answered all the questions that I asked from brands to products. They have a minimum $10 purchase for credit charges. I was tempted to buy a lot of stuff. There's so many glitters and powders and nail decor items. I will definitely be back here after I go home take an inventory and return with my shopping list! read more

I just left the store... was buzzed in, stood there for like 5 minutes and not one person attempted to help me find what I needed. I saw two people walk by and they did not ask if I needed help. I actually did find what I needed and no one attempted to ring me up. I purchased what I needed from Amazon, I dont mind waiting 1 day. read more

Unfortunately i had alot of hope for this small business and they have pretty decent supplies, but it didnt work out like that. I came rang the doorbell twice nobody acknowledged me, i was saying excuse me at the door the people were at the register and kind of just ignored i was there. A man finally opened the door after 5 minutes didnt greet me. then when i came in i only needed clear acrylic but i couldnt find it so i was looking very obviously confused and lost, they just glanced at me and just kept going about their day then i finally found it got in line and stood there for 10 minutes the customer up there and the cashier was just talking and taking their sweet time looking at drill bits. All i was getting was 1 acrylic i should not have had to stand there that long and the cashier kept looking at me and turning away not apologizing for the wait or nothing. Then i just said forget it was walking back twords the exit where all the acrylics were to put the acrylic back that i picked up but all their eyes was locked on me at that point as if i was going to steal. They can all stare at me walking out but when im shopping nobody could acknowledge me....?? Thats crazy. I feel as tho i was racially profiled because im a young black male and thats not ok that being said i will never go back they will never get my business i absolutely prefer the NAIL LAB in downtown. They will always get my money so respectful and helpful unlike ocean nail supply. Shop at youguys own risk I DO NOT RECOMMEND. (Wish there was a zero star option) read more

I've come to this supply store for several years now and they always have good prices that you can't beat. I'm just a bit concerned because I noticed on my receipt that the cashier wrote down my drivers license on the receipt. She asks for Id to verify my credit card but was completely uncomfortable that she did that. I went back after I noticed and the owner said it's per their policy due to credit card frauds. Other girls told me that they also took down their numbers and other women said they hadn't. I'm not sure I'm coming back here with any debit or credit card. Doesn't seem right to do that. Just beware of this "new" policy. read more

Please update your YELP business hours to show you are closed BOTH SATURDAY & SUNDAY. Right now (Sunday 12/20 at 12:00 PM) your Yelp shows that you are open. This place is awesome. I was looking for a shop that sells Essie polishes at wholesale prices to the public. THIS is the place. They have a huge selection of Essie colors, including all of the 2015 collections. They also have tons of nail art stuff, tools, files, and other brands of polish. Essie polishes were a great price. The more you buy the less you pay. 1 polish = $5.50/each, 3 polishes = $5/each, 6 polishes = $4.50/each. They also have a final sale box where you can find random Essie polishes for $2/each!! Super friendly lady was working the counter and around the shop. Unlike other places I have been, I did not feel like I was being followed around the store, which was nice. Also, my 4-year old son was with me and needed to use the bathroom -- normally in a tiny shop like that you will be told no, but they showed us the bathroom, not a problem. I will DEFINITELY be back at this shop in the future!! read more

I travel out of the way to shop here. They have a every color gel and lacquer possible but only a few brands. The prices are fair. So much glitter, chrome powders, latest effects. Any and every tool imaginable. I only gave four stars bc of how small this place is. It's tiny. If there's more than two customers in there, it's hard to navigate the aisles. Everyone bumps into each other. If there's more then two people checking out, it takes forever. Nothing has barcodes on it. But it's worth it! Every time I come here, I find what I need and leave with no more money. They have additional parking in the back and on the side. Great place! read more

parking: so if the parking is on the street or u can park around back fist impression: so they have to buzz u in in order for you to enter. no one greets you or asks if you need help at all. if you ask a question they pretend like they dont know english but i was so happy to see all of the gel color options and alot of dip powders but i didnt buy any at the time cause i wasnt sure if i can use with monomer that was the question they couldnt answer..... checkout/paying: once i got to check out i she gave me the total and put a free nail file lol i paid $300 mostly gel duos.... so when i got home to use my gels almost all of them are too thick n seem old! so i cant use them tried to thin them out with acetone did not work so i just wasted my money so terrible. read more

I used to LOVE going here, their prices were great and the employees were always super helpful. Ever since COVID started, the employees have changed and they are so rude! Love Love Love this store. This was my second time here and this time was as great as the first time. I called John earlier in the afternoon to make sure they had the two gel polish colors I wanted, OPI - Bubble Bath and Kiara Sky -Sweet Plum. He checked and said they had both and would have them waiting for me when I got off work. He also told me if I wanted to save time I could email him my order and pick it up same day. They are open until 5:30pm. They can also mail your order to you if you want. When I arrived the store was being rearranged and tons of new products were out. I felt like a kid in a candy store. I could literally spend a couple hours looking around the store. John was sweet, outgoing and funny as always. He totally remembered me and our discussion from the last time I was there. We ended up chatting on the back patio while he took a break. Ok, who really treats their customers like that? Uh, no one. No one is that friendly and down to earth with their customers. So I ended up getting 5 gel polishes and one regular polish to match a gel polish I chose, 4 packs of CND Shellac gel polish remover wraps, an awesome quality brush for doing French tip polish, and 100 small wood sticks for waxing. but he gave me the waxing sticks, CND wraps, matching nail polish and amazing French tip brush for free. No store ever does that! If you want quality products and an honest merchant and amazing prices you must shop here. John will give you an honest opinion on each brand he sells too and won't try to up sell you. This is a nail superstore. It's the Costco of the Nail supply world. Looking forward to trying out my new polishes and coming back for more. Thanks again John and your family for helping me out. read more

OK so I did not realize that this gem of a place was literally around the corner from my house lately I've been kind of in a creative funk and looking for both way to save money from going to the salon every two weeks to get my nails done, but also just as a creative outlet so I decided to like many others try my own hand at doing my nails. I did a lot of research online. Watched a lot of YouTube videos and also bought a bunch of stuff on Amazon, I really wish I had known about this store before I did that because I came in for the first time yesterday and they literally have everything I could imagine that I would ever want or need to do my own nails. Only it was a whole vibe in there. The music was bumping and John was in there cleaning up and organizing the store while also helping me find whatever I need. I really appreciate the fact that he looked at me sideways several times when I was trying to buy some thing that I did not need for my level of skill I was definitely in over my head and he kind of kept me in Check so that I didn't spend my whole paycheck which I really really appreciated lol. I went back today because I wanted to buy some extra things to practice with and I needed some rhinestones and nail glue. Of course I ended up buying more than I anticipated but it was 100% because I was just excited and now I am pretty well stocked to try anything my little heart desires and again John was great companywhile I shocked, so thankful that I found this place definitely come here. read more
