After having ordered SLAYYY hair online and knowing it's great quality I needed to make another purchase. Needing the hair immediately, I did a little research and learned Glow + Flow had it in-store. Originally I was going to visit the Inglewood location but decided to come to the Hawthorne location. Glow + Flow is located in a lot with Dunkin' Donuts. Parking was easy. It's super cute outside: a table chairs / bike (for esthetics) & Inside: it's airy, spacious, very beautiful. I went in for 1 thing (braiding hair) and left with Bask & Lather products x2 and a cute rattail comb. Various products at reasonable prices. Shelves are neatly stocked. They have a rewards system. Customer service was good. The side of the store I was on had a wall dedicated to braiding hair, a wall of wigs, hair grease, braiding gels, edge controls, hair accessories AND MORE!!! I plan on returning to see the right side of the store, lol (didn't have time to even walk on the opposite side) but from what I could see it seemed like there were serums, and oils... I recommend Glow + Flow -- It's a beautiful addition to the area and definitely a hidden GEM to this community!!!! Such a super cute beauty supply!! I've seen nothing like it in LA and I'm here for it. It's so much more than your typical beauty supply store. It's definitely giving dept store/Ulta vibes. They even have their own line of non-toxic, tangle-free, braiding hair, called Slayyy Hair. It's easy to find on Rosecrans & Hawthorne in the lot with Dunkin Donuts & across the street from Target. I found this place on a whim when I needed something last minute on a Sunday. I'm so happy they were open and I can't wait to go back to browse their selection of hair and skin care. Not sure if the store is still open as I was out of town for a while. But I love how informative and patient the owners are. It feels like it can be a real community hub. This was a pleasantly surprised to see this store in Hawthorn. The store was carefully thought out in its decor and product selection. The flowers and neon lights are nice touch to the decor. The product selection is top notch. Nail care, skin care, makeup and of course hair care. From to protective style to press and curl, sew in and wigs. The display of products on the shelves flows with ease. You don't have to wonder where a product is located. The products are not overly priced like some other independent stores. read more

Glow + Flow is truly one of the most beautiful beauty stores I've come across in a long time. Which happens to be black owned and only sale clean, chemical free products for their black and brown customers. Unfortunately it shares a parking lot with Dunkin Donuts and sits to the back of the partying lot. Which makes it extremely overlooked. Glow + Flow sales the most amazing brand of braiding hair called SLAYYY, which was created by the owner Diann Valentine and her husband. I've pretty much have been faithful to the Black n Gold hair brand. But once I began using SLAYYY. It has certainly been a game changer and it is the only brand of her hair I prefer to use. As well as the only brand a host of my friends and family have chosen to use. Not only is the hair awesome for braiding it is extremely exceptional for crochet styles, ponytails and adding tresses to a wig or weave. I definitely encourage you to give Glow + Flow Beauty and SLAYYY HAIR BRAND a try. I was in the area today wanting to explore wig shops so In yelp I saw Glow + Flow. Sounded Cool only 5 minutes away from where I was. Let's Explore . Black Owned I met Damon and Rose, such lovely people, I was shown the whole store, They have wigs, hair products. Beauty products and they also have a salon and the young lady does braids and probably more, Oh my goodness they also have these fabulous colors in their ponytails that can be braided into your hair! Lovely . I loved my experience! Very Professional . Rose was also extremely knowledgeable in the hair products! That's a plus!. I will go back I have several items on my mind . I must admit, I didn't start shopping at Glow + Flow until I decided to boycott Target Feb 2025...since then I've been to Glow + Flow multiple times since early this year. Not only is the staff always friendly, informative, and kind, the ambience is everything! me and my daughters love coming here and I've tried out some very cool brands from hair care for me and my girls to skin care products. I tell everyone I know who need beauty supply products to check out Glow + Flow. It's an amazing store AND I get to support a local black-owned business (yes it's a business, not a hustle, IYKYK). The shelves are well stocked and I even starting using the SLAYY braiding hair for myself and my girls which is healthier alternative, without out the chemicals we're use to in the other brand's braiding hair. And most importantly I would like to thank Ms. Valentine for designing such a store where as the black and brown community can shop and learn how to use the correct styling products. Often times we walk into beauty supply stores to grab items that truly aren't healthy products for our skin or hair. And most beauty supplies don't or won't take the time to share knowledge about the products you're seeking or purchasing.most beauty supplies are just looking for a quick sale. But not Ms Valentine and her staff. They actually pride themselves on making sure you're purchasing products that are most feasible for your body and needs. I noticed that there didn't appear to be much foot traffic each time I visited the store. I'm surely praying that the store gets more foot traffic and awareness so they can remain open. Because the black and brown culture really needs a beauty store such as this one. And most importantly they have a new brand of braiding hair that is amazing!!!! I was first introduced to the hair from a good friend that swears by it. She will only use SLAYYY hair now for her braids, crochet styles, ponytails etc. And the seniors in her family use the SLAYYY hair for a quick wig braid down. Because the hair does not irritate the scalp or cause any excessive itching like several of the other hair brands do. I am truly grateful that I found a brand of hair that is NOT chemically treated that is even safe to install in children hair.
