I credit Joe with saving me/ my company $25,000 in a deal that would've gone sour if he hadn't solved my computer issues. My complicated recovery issue required fixing and interfacing external and internal software corruption from a PC to MAC interfaces. Joe worked extra to solve the issue and provide me backup for future issues. He even followed up twice--to make sure everything was working right. I trust Joe-- he's knowledgeable and accessible, even though he's in high demand. I won't trust my computer with anyone else now! read more

My computer was giving me some headaches - running slow, problems downloading vital software updates, unexplained glitches, etc. After trying everything I knew, I called Ocean Computers. Joe had my computer reformatted and reloaded with all of my important files in just a matter of hours. He suggested an upgrade to Windows 7 and I'm glad he did, my computer is now using it's full potential without the higher cost of an upgrade. I was amazed at the difference. If you live in the San Diego area and want an honest, no hassle solution to your technology needs, I'd suggest Ocean Computers. The services offered cover just about anything you can think of, it's truly a one stop shop. read more

I am very pleased with the service I received from Ocean Computers (Joe Mannion). I suffered a serious Windows failure that caused corruption on my PC disk that prevented it from booting. To make matters worse I did NOT have a recent backup. I did not know if I was going to be able to recover data on the system or not. Worse, the failure happened on a Sunday afternoon. I sent an emergency email to Ocean Computers asking for emergency help. Joe Mannion called me back within 30 minutes and conducted a verbal Q&A with me to try and diagnose my problem. We determined that I would need to bring this to his location for diagnostics and potential repair. I drove down and was able to meet Joe and drop off my machine within an hour of speaking to him (Sunday at 6pm). Joe called me back within a couple of hours on Sunday evening to give me the good news... while my Windows7 system was in fact corrupted, Joe was able to recover all of my data and was going to re-install my system and provide it back to me the next day in working order. He also gave me a firm quote for the cost to repair the machine which was very reasonable. And true to his commitment he contacted me the next morning and let me know that my machine was working and ready to pick up. My machine is now working better than before the crash and Joe was helpful in following up with some remote configuration support for a few applications that needed to be reinstalled. I now have my machine configured where Joe can remotely connect in (securely) if/when I need it to fix any other configuration or application issues. In summary, Ocean Computer is one of the most responsive and competent computer repair and maintenance companies I have ever dealt with. I highly recommend Joe and his business for any repairs no matter how complex. read more

So glad I found Joe! Took pictures for my daughter's birthday and when I went to download the pictures, I got the error that my SD card needed to be reformatted. I thought the pictures would be gone forever. Took the card to Geek Squad and they said there was nothing we could do. Called Joe just to doublecheck and he said no problem, just drop the card off. Within 4 hours of dropping off the card, he had downloaded the pictures. He even uploaded it to a cloud for me to get the pictures that same day. I will definitely be calling him again. He is great at communicating too. Can't recommend enough! Will be referring friends and other small businesses. read more

Wine and Laptops don't mix! Spilling my glass of wine onto my keyboard shorted out several very important keys....DUH. I tried UNSUCCESSFULLY to deal with Dell myself....what a mistake! I resorted to carrying around an extra keyboard to solve my problem. When Joe saw this he was appalled ."let me order the part & fix this for you!" Within the next week the part arrived was fixed by Joe in record time. I couldn't be happier. Joe is so efficient, reasonable and very pleasant to work with. My 1st call from now on.....Thanks Joe ! read more

Joe is the BEST. I have had computers fixed several times over the years but Joe is the best by far. He is honest, very knowledgeable, reliable, bends over backwards to be sure you're a happy and satisfied customer and comes to your house for no extra charge. What more can you ask for? His willingness to be there and help after he has fixed your computer is super. Also, there are no employees. What you see is what you get. he owns it and he fixes it. MJ read more

We have worked with Joe for the last a several months fixing our office IT. He has been so easy to work with. It is night and day compared to previous experiences. He is to the point, extremely competent, and very efficient. What has been most remarkable, is how responsive he has been when something needs to be taken care of. He was highly recommended by a friend who uses him for his office IT and I would also recommend him to anyone for any IT services as well. read more

A good friend referred us to Joe and I am so glad she did. We were in need of a new computer since we were using a 12 year old XP. Joe recommended a few top picks for us to check out. I checked out the reviews and shopped around. After purchasing our new computer, Joe came over and switched out our computer but more importantly, he cleaned up all the spam, malicious programs and all the unnecessary crap that infected our old computer. I can say our new Windows 8 is awesome. We are so happy with Joe and the time he spent showing us how everything works..... and providing us with so much helpful information. Joe is very professional, personable, knowledgeable and more importantly, fast! I will recommend him to all our friends and family! read more

Joe Mannion at Ocean Computers has been my "go to" guy for years. He's honest, reasonable and very good with communication, before and after to see if you're happy or have any other concerns. He uses Team Viewer, so if I have any problems, he can solve them remotely without me having to bring it to him or him to make the trip to me.. Which is a great time saver for both of us! Call Joe, you'll be happy you did! read more

Joe is awesome. I e-mailed him because my computer had some serious issues. It is a 7-year-old Sony Vaio laptop that was running Windows 7 Pro. I had done a lot of trouble-shooting myself on issues like not being able to network to my other laptops, not being able to install any software or updates, and its super-slow speed, without luck. He called me soon after and offered to pick up my computer from my house as he was already on the road. He also told me over the phone that he could have it ready in 24 hours before he had even looked at it. He later checked it out for free and called me to tell me exactly what was wrong with it (I was missing some critical coding somehow and I had a ton of malware and spyware). He offered to not only fix my issues, but also to update my computer to Windows 8.1 (I had to buy the license of course). THEN he called me to tell me that he had even added memory to my computer FOR FREE because he had some extra memory sticks lying around, and offered us a military discount ($75) because my husband's in the service. He offered to drop my laptop off the next morning. It now works like a dream. It's fast and up-to-date, networks to my printer and my other laptops, and best of all, the expensive photo-editing and music-editing software I have accumulated over time is still there. Fix time: 20 hours My Bill: $450 I know it seems pricey, but he is trustworthy, fast, diligent, and his work comes with a 1-year warranty, which was all far less expensive than buying a new laptop and software. Joe's hard work and dedication is what the American spirit is all about. read more

So glad I came across this company when looking for help to "clean" up my home computers. Joe promptly returned my call and was able to come to my home to give me a free estimate on repairs. He explained the infected spyware I had and how to clean up both my lap top and PC. He gave me a fair estimate and took the computers home and had them both back the next day! Excellent service!! read more

Let me start by saying that my husband and I both are the "Fred Flintstones" of the computer age. Therefore, we heavily rely on the IT industry for help. We have dealt with incompetent, unresponsive computer techs for years. I was fortunate enough to find Joe Mannion, owner of Ocean Computers and we couldn't be happier. It's been about a year that he has serviced our needs and without fail, every single time we call him, he jumps into action immediately. He has handled everything from our entire home networking system to helping me with trivial IPod issues. Never has he told me no, even when it's the most ridiculous of problem that I know is operator error. He jumps in with a kind and positive attitude and always teaches me how to resolve some of these issues myself. I am beyond impressed with his customer service. When you have a home networking system and something goes wrong, you need prompt attention. Joe exceeds any normal expectation. He responds immediately and if the issue cannot be resolved with a remote log in, 99% of the time, he is at your front door step within no time at all to address your needs. I can't recall a time when I haven't received same day service from him. His business ethic and attention to his clientele is impeccable and matched by none. He is a rare find... read more

Joe is as good as it gets. My mother's computer was attacked by an awful virus and it was time to get her a new one. But we didn't need anything with all the bells and whistles as she literally gets on the computer to check her email and surf the net. We had a terrible experience with Best Buy where we ordered her a computer and after a week of ordering it, they hadn't even shipped it yet - and worse, they were unhelpful, rude and completely frustrating to work with. So, we cancelled our order and called Joe. He had an instant solution and came over to her house personally to deliver a new computer. He also was able to set up remote access so that next time she has issues, she can call him personally and he'll be able to log on from anywhere and help her fix the issue. Joe is a problem solver, a wonderful business man and just a good all around person. I'm thrilled that we found him. Thank you, Joe for your kindness and support. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone. read more
