We were passing through the area and decided to check out this RV Park since we are hoping to find…read morea park to overnight in or stay a few days when traveling down to the Keys to break up the drive. We drove slowly around the parking looking at the accommodations and were really impressed by how well it is maintained - the sites are spaced out nicely and all seem to have level concrete pads and full hookups. The park is easily accessible and getting in and out of the individual sites look pretty painless and all of this makes for a great experience in my opinion. The front office appeared to be closed during our visit but it too appears to offer a number of amenities as well including a pool and laundry facilities. Although it looks like some of the sites were occupied by some extended stay campers it doesn't appear it has long term residents like many in Florida have just by looking at the individual sites it seems to be rather quite. There were a few people out doing maintenance on their RVs but that's part of the experience but over-all a good environment - I definitely plan to speak with the management staff at some point to learn more about it but from our initial visit this place easily gets four stars...

We stopped by on a weekday and the park was pretty and relaxing. Not too many people on the couple of trails we did. The observation tower is closed but they still have a nice boardwalk up to that area that makes for a great walk! It's pretty highly elevated for Florida - kind of impressive in person! Entry is $6 per car, and the lady provided a map and recommended her favorite trail. We checked that trail out as well (the white trail), but the height of the observation tower trail was really the star! We decided to drive around after doing both trails, and we saw their campgrounds. So surprising at how busy this place was! It seemed there was hardly an empty spot! Must be a happening place to camp! We'd definitely return for more adventures, as this is a cool park!

Don't get me wrong there are a few who are not to community minded but we just stay clear from them. The park is ok. It need a lot of little fixer up things like the concrete pads at the sites, the roads, the WiFi is really weak, the pool isn't warm enough and they say it's heated but the biggest thing is the stuff (junk) that people have at there sites is out of control. The management here, Gary & Sherri, do a good job trying to stay on top of things but it's all about the home office and money. I'll keep coming back because of the price and the people.

Bathrooms, showers and a book rent / lend area. Only bad thing is they only had 9 or 10 sites. We tried to get back in here but they have no open weekends for the rest of the year :( They have a max stay of 14 days. Not sure if that is yearly or at one time. Will be back.

It's a smaller hotel & so thankfully the pool wasn't crowded at all, like most larger places on the beach. The waterfall by pool is beautiful. My very favorite place, Kyle G's, is right next door. So I only left the hotel all week, to walk to the CVS, nail place & to try other restaurants around the area. The employees are very polite, hardworking & kind. So I'm very pleased with our stay. It's not super fancy & could use new furniture in the lobby, but the beautiful art work & paint color made up for it. We will come back here again!

We have been staying on nettles Island and renting for many, many years. This was easily the worst…read moreexperience we ever had renting from an owner. But more on that later... As far as the actual amenities the house had most of what you needed however knives, pots/pans, and utensils were extremely old and dull which made meal prep difficult. The gas grill was so filthy and covered in greasy sludge we didn't use it (took pictures though in case owner tried to blame us...more on that later). While the unit had bath towels to use they were so smelly with a mildew scent my wife literally dry-heaved when she dried her face off after getting out of the shower....NOT KIDDING!!!....LITERALLY DRY HEAVED! I believe the towels were probably left in the washer for a day or so before being dried and when that happens they are ruined and you can't get the smell out. We washed/dried/folded them and left them in the laundry room for the week. We used our own towels. Gross. Speaking of gross, the floors were very dirty and every corner of the linoleum throughout the kitchen and hallway and bathroom had dirt and grime. The owner charged a significant "cleaning fee" however I don't believe she actually pays anyone to clean it between visitors. We had to use our own cleaning products to scrub the bathroom sinks and toilets before use. I wiped heavy mildew/mold off the main bathroom sink. We actually wore our flip flops in the house all week because the floors were gross. The irony in all of this is that the owner actually sent me a message after we left thanking us for "leaving #669 spotless". We of course cleaned up after ourselves and left it in better condition than we found it. However that place was far from "spotless". I don't believe she actually has a very good working definition of "spotless" or "clean". As far as the rest of the regular "wear and tear" on the place it's what you would expect from a typical rental. We realize it's not the Taj Mahal or the Ritz Carlton. That's not why we, or anyone, go to Nettles. We love the atmosphere, and the people, and the beach. Now for the "owner". This was actually the only real negative part of our trip. When we arranged the rental many months in advance we spoke with her by phone. She seemed very pleasant and accommodating. She sent us a bill and we paid in full right away (months in advance). At a later date she eventually sent us a rental agreement to sign and return. (Mind you, she already had our money and bill is paid in full). The first attempt, for whatever reason, the email hung up in the "sent folder". When I finally sent it again, due to a computer glitch, it sent the last page of the PDF file ( you can clearly see the file said "page 5 of 5"). This is where it gets bizarre... She called friends of ours who live on the island and began to complain to them and demand my phone number (which she already had because she spoke with us) and demand that I send the file again. I immediately called her and asked her to stay on the phone with me while I sent the file again (the entire time being extremely apologetic and polite). She confirmed that she received it and all the pages were there. She began to then verbally accoste me and raise her voice and threaten to cancel the rental (again she already had my payment in full). She then said if it wasn't for the fact that my friends who live on the island vouched for me and the fact that she trusted them so much that she would cancel the rental. The irony being my friends have never met her before and wouldn't "know her from Adam". She then demanded utility bills or other mail showing my home address (after already having a copy of my Drivers License). She admitted this was so she could sue me if there was damage to the property. I immediately got an uneasy feeling that I was not going to see any security deposit back. There was much more to the conversation but rest assured, it was nothing short of bizarre for someone who probably builds a business on "word of mouth" to be so abrasive and yelling on the phone. It was a surreal experience. When I got off the phone I immediately called the nettles Island rental office and inquired about any open units as I feared the worst when I had to check in. Thankfully I didn't need the one and only unit that was available that week through the rental office. Check in with her did not go smoothly as she did not meet us at the unit when we arrived. We had to wait at a friends home waiting for her to return to Nettles. Needless to say, avoid this rental unit. There are far too many other rentals on the island to have to deal with this headache.

Owner greeted us when we arrived and she lives on Nettles Island so is right there in case of any problems (which there weren't), but she gave us lots of tips of where to go. Got lots of use out of the gas grill too. Nettles Island gym was free for us to use too! We'll be back!

The staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The restaurant and outdoor seating area are nice, with such a relaxing and inviting ambience. We sat at one of the tables overlooking the ocean. It was the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy some good food and wine, and take in the beautiful views of the water.

Andrew and Jared went above and beyond by upgrading us to a beautiful oceanfront room on the seventh floor. They also surprised us with a wonderful charcuterie board and wine on our anniversary. Those thoughtful touches meant so much to us. The resort is beautiful and elegant, our room was fantastic, and the ocean view was spectacular. And I have to mention the shower--it was honestly the best hotel shower I've ever experienced! We had a wonderful anniversary dinner and two breakfasts at Latitudes. Our server, Beatrice, was exceptional and such a joy to talk with. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. They truly made our 50th anniversary celebration memorable. We highly recommend the Jupiter Beach Resort & Spa and Latitudes, and we look forward to returning!
