I talked with Nancy several times before our arrival and who was always very friendly. She called me with my site number before we arrived so we could pull directly to our RV spot. There are two restaurants within easy walking distance. The causeway to the beach is one block away. The park is very simple, gravel/sand drives. Florida grass spaces with a concrete pad. No picnic table. very basic. We did not use any of the restrooms/showers. The park is close to a train track but after a day or two we didn't really notice them. We had a space on the road with a view of the Indian River. We loved it and will diffidently return again.

We stopped by on a weekday and the park was pretty and relaxing. Not too many people on the couple of trails we did. The observation tower is closed but they still have a nice boardwalk up to that area that makes for a great walk! It's pretty highly elevated for Florida - kind of impressive in person! Entry is $6 per car, and the lady provided a map and recommended her favorite trail. We checked that trail out as well (the white trail), but the height of the observation tower trail was really the star! We decided to drive around after doing both trails, and we saw their campgrounds. So surprising at how busy this place was! It seemed there was hardly an empty spot! Must be a happening place to camp! We'd definitely return for more adventures, as this is a cool park!

Rude security staff (except Brooke she is amazing) they gave anyone who came out a hard time. We called everyone in even had to call in doordash bc they wouldn't let them come in. All together the only thing worth it out there is the views and amenities at the clubhouse. The people act like pure trash to anyone they don't deem old enough for "their island." They even threw a fit for owners trying to Airbnb their homes when they were not in town God forbid they stayed less than 1 month at a time. Can't wait for the old stuck in their ways people to die off and stop discriminating against "young people". The snowbirds were the worst there the mindset is its mine and you shouldn't be here even though my husband and I were residents year round. 100% reason why we didn't purchase a place out there. Blowing Rocks is an amazing natural look at what the Florida Shoreline should look like. I'm an Honorable Discharged Marine and a Law Enforcement Officer in Palm Beach County for over three decades. As a result, I am terminally ill and have extreme cardiac issues as a result including PTSD. I need to be close to JFK Hospital because of my cardiac illness. I asked for an extension; I was given two weeks and then I need to leave. I was told that if I die it's not their problem, the rules are the rules. The security at the Campground is very good, but that's about it. The water supply is from the contaminated Lake Osborne. Even with double filters the water is polluted. Many guests informed me that they were told the water comes from Lake Worth Beach, this is a lie. The Campground is in unincorporated Lake Worth, and the water supply is Lake Osborne. 2024 Lake Osborne was incredibly infested with bacteria and coli issues. During 2016 the same. People are told not to wash with the water or use it to prepare food. Just Google Lake Osborne and the proof is in the pudding, but don't make the pudding with the water. They have very little grass and each site is infested with Red Ants who attack the children and the dogs and cats. Upon complaints they left a spray can of Raid Ant Killer and said that's the best they can do. Grass is basically non-existent. There's no pool and the laundry room is closed at 2100 hrs. There is no background check so we had a problem with an adult male who really enjoyed hanging out at the playground. Since the management refuses to deal with it, myself and several other guests had to take up the task of making it so uncomfortable the he finally left. The Park Rangers use every light on their vehicles while in the park, even though it's against Policy & Procedure and has caused some people to have seizures. The trees are not properly maintained and caused damage to my Camper during high winds. I was told that I should turn it over to my issuance and they have no responsibility. Update: I was just called by JJP Management. They told me if I work with the Homeless Intervention Team they will give me two weeks. Two Weeks??????????? I was told, they don't want me to die but they can't help me, which is triggering my PTSD and my blood pressure is going through the roof. They actually made a reservation for me at the Campground in South Bay, Florida, where I worked as an LEO for years, and I know I'm 45 minutes away from a cardiac unit and I would most like die. I was told they don't want me to die but their rules supersede my possible death. Talkin over me and treating me like a homeless person, I have always paid my rent and am paid to the 27th and then I have to leave. This is sick. It's one thing to disregard my extreme medical condition, but to call me and humiliate me is even worse. Several guest approached me about my yelp review and wanted to add to it. I had reason to believe that I was seriously at risk for physical VIOLENCE KOA was notified of this and told me KOA's are self governed. Another words, tough. Also, there is no dog park - it's the shoulder of the road behind the campground. No bathrooms available from 5pm to 9 am... Cause, I'll just hold it or use the "dog park". Serious electrical problems at this one folks. All I got for my $90 was an UN air conditioned camper and a story I tell ALL my friends. DO NOT STAY AT KOA CAMPGROUNDS

The staff are ok but the restaurant needs to be reopened. When local resident and entrepreneur, Mr. Jim Sheehan developed the business 20 years ago, he built the campground and also rented out lake side cabins. Better than RV camping!! Alas, Hurricanes Francis and Charlie chewed up the entire area, including all his beautiful wood cabins and even damaged the huge Herbert Hoover dike ( in 1930's) which surrounds the entirety of Lake Okechobee. There are a couple of the cabins still available for rent, through Airbnb.
