It was so tender and flavorful, literally falling off the bone. The curry goat as well was incredibly good, very tender and a lot of meat. Rice and peas was the best side I tried. Some of the best food I have ever tasted, I am not exaggerating. Portions were great, left feeling STUFFED. Service was kind, professional, and actually very quick. Menu was super straightforward and easy to understand, even for someone who has never eaten Jamaican food before. It's extremely clean and professional inside, very welcoming. And prices are very reasonable, especially considering the size of the portions. Would definitely suggest getting the oxtail with rice and peas and some sort of vegetable for the best all around eating experience. Jerk chicken patty is also a nice option if you're looking for something quicker. Please try this place. You will NOT be disappointed.

My friend and I ordered two Abuelo's Favorite Plate and the rice and peas were proportioned, the shredded pork succulent and the ripe plantain sweet and delicious. We topped our order off with two guava and sweet cream pastelillos - pastry nice and flaky and the filling just the right sweetness to end this delicious meal on! Thank you Que Rico for a meal reminiscent of my childhood Sunday dinners!

Pretty good food if you have a craving for Puerto Rican food…read more The Pastelillos were delish. I ordered a ground beef and a chicken with cheese. They were crispy, good amount of filling and nice flavor overall. Fantastic. I think they should serve the meal with a bit more rice. The Pernil, pulled pork was sort of dry and unfortunately the large side of garilc mojo sauce (garlic oil) was sideways in the bag and by time I got it home, the oil had all leaked out into the paper bag and onto the floor mat inside my car. The mofongo bites listed as 5 bites, however I only received 4. They were on the sweet side. The masa from the plantain taste too ripe for my liking. I prefer more green plantains in my mofongo. The tostones were pretty good. The pictures made them look a bit larger, but oh well. This was my first time ordering from a ghost kitchen, and the concept is a brilliant idea because you can order from so many cuisines! You can try so many restaurants in one place. Quite amazing.

Disclaimer, I am a Caribbean national living in the DMV and a true foodie…read more I saw their sign yesterday on my way to Old Town and had to give it a try the following day. The new location is spotless and has plenty of seating inside with a clean, no nonsense aesthetic. Old school reggae and dancehall pumps out steadily from the sound system and the staff are polite and friendly. They have delicious natural juices in the coolers and freshly baked patties which are light, flaky, juicy inside and full of flavor, as they should be. (I ordered two spicy beers) I ordered the jerk pork ribs and curry goat with a side of rice and peas ( with curry gravy on top of course). The curry goat was the best I've had in the area, the meat was fall off the bone tender and the curry had deep, rich flavor, I honestly felt like I was at home. Rice and peas were delicious with plenty of coconut milk in the mix. The jerk pork was a little more of a fusion between BBQ ribs and jerk pork as it had a BBQ glaze. I will say that the traditional jerk flavor was there but I felt like the sauce overpowered it a bit. It was still incredibly tender and my American partner enjoyed it. I think it can cater to less familiar palates well. Over all I'm overjoyed to have a proper Jamaican restaurant close by and I'd give them a solid B+ rating overall. I've had less tasty Jamaican food in the Caribbean and also slightly more authentic Jamaican food in the UK so go figure. I look forward to going back again, can't wait to try the rest of the menu and bring my friends along too. Bless!

The consortium as a whole offers takeout only. Jamaican Breeze's food was bland and the chicken was man-made. The chicken looked like ham-hocks. It was so unusual that I had to call the restaurant to determine what it was. They claimed that it was the way it was cut; but, it was not. It tasted unusual as well. The peas and rice had no taste either. This was disappointing since I did not go to my intended restaurant. It's hard finding good Jamaican food in the DMV.

He was amazing! His service, attitude, attentiveness, and overall professionalism were all on point and really helped make our visit enjoyable. To start, we ordered the jerk charbroiled oysters, which were incredibly flavorful and delicious. We also had the mango habanero wings, cooked extra crispy just as requested. They were packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. For our entrées, my girlfriend ordered the chicken and shrimp Rasta pasta. It was well-portioned, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. I had the jerk salmon and shrimp with cabbage and rice and peas, and it was equally impressive. We also added a side of mac and cheese, which was a great complement to the meal. Overall, this was an excellent dining experience. The food was flavorful, the portions were satisfying, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance was welcoming and enjoyable. I definitely plan on coming back during the week to check out Happy Hour and returning on a Sunday to experience brunch. Highly recommended!

Jamaican music playing at nice volume that permitted conversation while keeping a bouncy vibe. Service was quick and friendly. I ask for recommendation between two drinks and he recommended the purple dolphin. GREAT choice, I mix a bourbon elderflower and Plum infused syrup. Headed nice flavor profile of sweet with still the bourbon kick. Jerk chicken rasta pasta was OUTSTANDING with plenty of creamy, peppery KICK. It was honestly more spicy than other rasta pastas I have had but in an excellent way. EXCELLENT experience. Will add to heavy rotation when in the Navy Yard.

I for sure thought on July 4th weekend my birthday reservation would be canceled. When you walk in you feel the black excellence, multiculturalism and multigenerational; everyone had a role to played for this experience. The decor was low light and elegant, phenomenal music choice(I'd prefer there playlists than the clubs I've been to recently).
