Every mezze was delicious, but my favorites have to be the eggplant and the spicy pepper dip. As for the chicken and rice, the chicken was melt-in-your mouth tender, but what surprised me the most was the rice. Although it may look like your standard rice, it must have been cooked in a rich chicken broth for it was incredibly savory! Overall, this was a unique dining experience. Shoes off before stepping into the seating area. Menu si known for homestyle cooking and an iconic dish is their pottery kebab. Meat is slow cooked in a sealed pot for 3 hours. The pot is then brought to the table, cracked open, and the contents poured onto a plate in front of you. Very aromatic, flavorful, and tender. They also make their own wine in house, which is a must try. Red wines are served cooler, though not cold. I also recommend the little little on the middle menu item as it consists of a lot of small shareables, similar to mezze, that you can enjoy along with your meal. Staff is very friendly. They even gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was really neat.

What began as casual conversation about our respective countries -- Turkey and the US -- took an ugly turn when, completely unprompted and apropos to nothing, the owner stated that 80% of Jewish employees at the Twin Towers had called off work on 9/11, clearly implying that Jewish people had either been forewarned or were somehow complicit in the attacks. This is a well-known antisemitic conspiracy theory, and hearing it delivered so casually and confidently by a business owner was deeply disturbing. As for the food - I thought it overrated and not worth the visit regardless. On a positive note, we had a wonderful meal at Sofra, an understated, welcoming restaurant in town that we'd happily recommend.

Each dish was full of flavor and we'll presented. 2) Space: It's up a hill on the second floor of a beautiful building. The room itself is small but we'll decorated and with tablecloths on the tables. 3) Service: The older man and woman working there are very friendly and passionate about what they have created. The only thing to note is that it's more pricey than other restaurants, but worth it for good food.
