Upon arriving, there was already a huge spread of mezzes ready for us: potato salad, pickled vegetables, a red pepper dip, feta cheese, a cheese/tomato dip, bulgur with tomato paste, yogurt, fried eggplant, peanuts, bread, watermelon, and cigar pastries filled with feta. On top of that, there were unlimited drinks we could order from the waiter, including water, local red and white wines, raki (the famous Turkish anise liquor), juice, and just about anything else you can think of! And while we enjoyed all the wonderful food and drinks, the dance show begins! Unfortunately I had a back row seat, so it was hard to see many of the lively performances, but a few definitely stood out. There was a Turkish "wedding" dance in which the dancers pulled in a bunch of audience members to play the roles of bride and groom; and also a belly dance, in which the belly dancer pulled in a bunch of men from the audience and made them belly dance too! What a great (and hilarious) time! And then, towards the very end of the show come the entrees. I tried the lamb and the beef stew, which each came with a scoop of rice, along with a few vegetables and fries. Not bad, but in my opinion, the entrees (relatively small portions) definitely paled in comparison to the huge spread of mezze!

I was greeted outside by staff welcoming me inside just like other restaurants in the area. I was seated right away and warmly greeted by several staff. There were several men dressed in suits ready to attend to their table. The restaurant was big, clean and well lit. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I noticed mostly tourists but did see a few locals sitting and eating. Of course, I wanted to beef stew in the clay pot. I also ordered a side salad. They brought out this huge piece of bread that was hot, soft and delicious. When my food was served, it was truly an Instagram moment. The server performed for my phone and it was cool to witness in person despite seeing it several times online. Now to the real deal, the food. The food was absolutely delicious. I ate everything on my plate. Another thing that stood out for me was how hard working the cooks and the guy who baked the bread were working in the back. I acknowledged them and thanked them for the amazing meal. This is definitely a place to check out not just for the pics but the food was really worth the visit.

The service, and specifically our server, Mehmet, were incredible and amazing!! The chicken shish kebab was incredibly soft and juicy. A mini wrap with the white sauce, pepper, lemon, and parsley was heavenly. I could've eaten that all day, every day - Wow!! The falafel was perfectly fried and so very fresh. The lentil soup was hot and light and hit the right spot on a cold night. The bread was incredible and completed the meal. We had such a great experience here! Absolutely do not hesitate to eat here when in Kapadokya!

I was also happy to see Sedef was listed on Yelp with good reviews. The restaurant was clean, organized, and well-decorated. It is located on the main street leading to all of the cave hotels. We ordered the chicken kabobs, meatball kabobs, mushrooms covered in cheese, and of course I needed some fries. All of the items were fantastic. Not all kabobs are created equally; and these were some of the best we had in Turkey. Regarding the service, it was very good. Friendly, polite, and friendly staff members thought the restaurant. I highly recommend Sedaf!

And rhe bread dough on top is the cutest -- it's there to allow steam to escape -- but not too much moisture! Sedef presented the kebab exactly as I've pictured -- it came to the table oon fire ... then they tapped the pots until they became separated ... and the meat and sauce bubbled out like a volcano! Then they served it with a rice-noodle combo. DELICIOUS! Very friendly staff, and attentive. We loved our meal here!

Staff were welcoming and friendly and this was honestly one of the best meals we had in Turkey (but this could be bc we were so tired and hungry we weren't hard to please, lol). We sat outside by the bubble fountain, we had hummus and a chopped salad and a lamb testi kabab cooked in a clay pot and opened in front of you. It was soft and delicious. My only issue was with the Konafe which wasn't as good as previous versions I've had - so I wouldn't recommend the dessert, instead - go to a nearby Turkish ice cream seller... probs better!

I expected being accosted much more from outside the restaurants but not here. The guys outside the restaurant are nice and friendly, no offense if you don't stop to eat. We walked by with our kids and Latif spoke to us and showed us his menu, specific items since we are vegetarian. We appreciated the time he took to do that. He spoke a few words to my husband in Hindi and we were surprised! After two days of trying other restaurants we came back here and had a great experience, the kids got pizza and i the stuffed eggplant and hummus. Everything was tasting good and a reasonable price. The hookah is amazing and wayyyy better than the junky Shisha at Pasha cafe. The pizza needed to be cooked more, the bottom was soft and not toasted. The prices are kind of high for what you are getting but in line with all other restaurants here. The conversation and hospitality that Latif showed us was top notch. Thank you!
