If u want a good video or picture for instagram this is the place other than that the food is so so. I ordered the beef stew in the clay pot and it's Not bad but nothing special. Customer service is good.

Great dishes that taste homemade at a place with a good view of the sunset. The best dish here was the tender and flavorful lamb chops. The service was good, like all the restaurants in Göreme.

The stars on Yelp do not give this place justice. So good we came back a second time. First time we ordered the red lentil soup, mixed platter, mixed meat kebap, and the meat casserole. Red lentil soup was simple but had lovely flavor. We could not get enough of the eggplant from mixed platter and my friends that was with me does not like eggplant. Highlight was the meat casserole as it was very tender and the sauce married with the meat very elegantly. Second time, we tried the salt crusted chicken and the beef pottery kepab and wow were we surprised. The beef pottery kepab looks like a mushroom, but its really a beef stew in a clay pot with the opening covered with dough. It was a visual delight and tasty. The salted crusted chicken says you should order 2-3 hours ahead, but we ordered on arrival so it might depend on how busy they are as we went in November during low tourism season and were able to get one. It was an unforgettable experience. Out came a metal cart lit on fire with hardened clay. Waiter hands you a hammer to break open the clay where you will find a whole chicken inside. The waiter craftily cuts off a light salt crust and slices it open for you where you will find stuffed rice. It was tender and flavorful. You can take leftovers or feed the strays. Turkey is animal friendly and a frequent visitor cat at on my lap during my first visit.

We were here during COVID lockdown. They were so rush to just a take order, and were very unorganized. They let some people go inside, and some prohibit to go in even though there were still plenty of social distances room available inside. After we ordered food 30+ min for our order to be ready. However, they could not find who belongs our order, and looking for long time for us. We ordered those they told me come in clay, but it was NOT. They could mention it will not be in clay for take out. (Other restaurant were in clay even for take out). Food was overall ok. Forgot utensils.... Service could be better but since under lockdown, someway understandable.

First day in Capadoccia and not place where to eat inside or in the patio. You can only order food for take out. Food is delicious, prepared right away. After first week in Turkey and another week to go..Turkish food is the first option, since not too much options to choose.

I had chicken with cheese (that looked like lasagna but tasted like chicken tikka pizza with cheese). It was soooo delicious. The edges were burned but i guess it was supposed to be like that. My husband had chicken shish kabab and he liked it. Their bread was soft and fresh.

This place looked & smelled so good when we walked by we decided to stop in for lunch after our message. Everything was delicious! We had the mixed mezze platter, beef casserole & pistachio kebap.

Expensive (like most restaurants in Cappadocia) but not the worst. I came here because it was conveniently located across my hotel and I was too hungry to walk a few more blocks for food. But I wish I walked a few more blocks because for the amount of time I spent waiting to flag down a waiter and getting my food, I would've already been asleep on my bed. Although the service was severely lacking, I can't rant about the food because it actually wasn't bad itself. I had the Chicken Shish Kebab and the amount of chicken chunks, along with the sides, were so abundant, I was pretty full at the end from washing it down with a cup of ayran as well. I didn't really like the super crispy wrap on the bottom of the platter--it felt like I was eating chips. Their ayran was the most expensive (₺5 for tea cup size) I've had throughout my stay in Turkey, but it was also the thickest and the creamiest ayran I've had, so it was well worth the price. I saw groups order this hot pot of food, which I'm guessing is one of their specialities. Note for food Instagrammers: food presentation is super photogenic.

Food was AMAZING!!! We ordered the vegetarian and beef pottery kebabs. They come topped with fresh bread, which is baked right on top of the pottery pots in the oven. Do yourself a favor, and stuff the bread like a pita with the rice and veggies, and/or meat! Delish!!! Add some warm walnut hummus, sub the rice for the bulgur pilaf and you are LIVING!! We also ordered the vegetable soup, which was good! Not sure if it's completely vegetarian/vegan though...

Most of the restaurants in Cappadocia are touristy and overpriced; don't expect the same quality and variety of food as in Istanbul. However, after being in Cappadocia for 3 nights, this place was not one of my favorites. It was not bad, but I wouldn't really recommend it or go again, especially not for the amount of money that we paid. As an appetizer, we got the buttered hummus with bacon which was alright - I've had better hummus and at ~18 Turkish lira, it was not cheap. I did like the braised spinach and tomatoes and the grilled mixed vegetables (a bit on the spicy side, just warning you), but I also hadn't eaten vegetables for 5 days so the vegetables all tasted amazing to me. We got the beef clay pot dish which was good, but nothing overly special. Their "special chicken" that is stuffed with rice and has to be prepared 4 hours prior is kind of a gimmick - kind of like the Nijo Castle of Cappadocia; they come and crack open this thick salt shell that covers the chicken, which is kinda fun, but then the whole skin of the chicken is super salty and you can't eat it. The chicken itself is moist and tasty, but not really much different tasting than rotisserie chicken, and not worth 80 Turkish lira in my opinion. All in all, not a super memorable meal, especially not at the price tags that they command. I think you can find better food in Cappadocia.

Terrible service and food..this is complementary cheese plate!!

Centrally located in Goreme around a lot of popular hotels. Warm, rustic, homey interior. Seating area consists of large tables and you sit on the floor over cushions. Shoes off before stepping into the seating area. Menu si known for homestyle cooking and an iconic dish is their pottery kebab. Meat is slow cooked in a sealed pot for 3 hours. The pot is then brought to the table, cracked open, and the contents poured onto a plate in front of you. Very aromatic, flavorful, and tender. They also make their own wine in house, which is a must try. Red wines are served cooler, though not cold. I also recommend the little little on the middle menu item as it consists of a lot of small shareables, similar to mezze, that you can enjoy along with your meal. Staff is very friendly. They even gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was really neat.

Really wanted a memorable Dinner and found it with the Beef Cheek served with Mashed Potatoes in a Reduction and "The Golden Pot" which is a Porcini Mushroom Risotto in I believe a Parmesan Sauce that did not drown the dish. The Beef Cheek, so tender, broke apart with just your fork. Slow Cooked for 21 hours according to the Owner. The Reduction had a nice hint of Pepper to add something extra. I also found out this Dish has been nominated for a Michelin Star. The Bulgar Wheat Risotto "The Golden Pot" had a nice mild Earthly flavor from the Porcini Mushrooms with that light Cream Sauce was how a this dish should be at every Restaurant.
