I can't say enough positive things about this place. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful and has a nice view. The appetizers and entrées were all incredible. The drinks were amazing. If I am ever back in the Cappadocia area, you can find me at Millocal!

Dibek Traditional Home Cook Restaurant - The first round of food is always Mezza here (small plates of traditional dips & pickles). The creamed dish low-right, is Turkish Ravioli.

Centrally located in Goreme around a lot of popular hotels. Warm, rustic, homey interior. Seating area consists of large tables and you sit on the floor over cushions. Shoes off before stepping into the seating area. Menu si known for homestyle cooking and an iconic dish is their pottery kebab. Meat is slow cooked in a sealed pot for 3 hours. The pot is then brought to the table, cracked open, and the contents poured onto a plate in front of you. Very aromatic, flavorful, and tender. They also make their own wine in house, which is a must try. Red wines are served cooler, though not cold. I also recommend the little little on the middle menu item as it consists of a lot of small shareables, similar to mezze, that you can enjoy along with your meal. Staff is very friendly. They even gave us a tour of the wine cellar which was really neat.

The most popular dishes are homemade mantı (Turkish ravioli), kurufasulye (dried white beans) and testi kebabı (pottery kebab). Traditional desserts aside and kayısı tatlısı are worth to taste. Dibek Restaurant also serves homemade wine. And it was good.

I have to say, absolutely worth the FIVE STARS. We are here in Cappadocia for Three Days and this…read moreis our first night here. Really wanted a memorable Dinner and found it with the Beef Cheek served with Mashed Potatoes in a Reduction and "The Golden Pot" which is a Porcini Mushroom Risotto in I believe a Parmesan Sauce that did not drown the dish. The Beef Cheek, so tender, broke apart with just your fork. Slow Cooked for 21 hours according to the Owner. The Reduction had a nice hint of Pepper to add something extra. I also found out this Dish has been nominated for a Michelin Star. The Bulgar Wheat Risotto "The Golden Pot" had a nice mild Earthly flavor from the Porcini Mushrooms with that light Cream Sauce was how a this dish should be at every Restaurant. However, no one seems to get it right before dining here. Firm texture, not gummy, definitely not bland and overall just a very satisfying meal. I am not a Food Critic or a Chef nor do I pretend to have Grand Illusions of having ultimate Food Knowledge, but I spent 20 years as a Line Cook and grew up in a Kitchen learning from the best Cook I know, my Grandma, so I know good food and have always had a passion for it.

I was also happy to see Sedef was listed on Yelp with good reviews. The restaurant was clean, organized, and well-decorated. It is located on the main street leading to all of the cave hotels. We ordered the chicken kabobs, meatball kabobs, mushrooms covered in cheese, and of course I needed some fries. All of the items were fantastic. Not all kabobs are created equally; and these were some of the best we had in Turkey. Regarding the service, it was very good. Friendly, polite, and friendly staff members thought the restaurant. I highly recommend Sedaf!

Sedef was recommended to us for a dinner in Cappadocia to include the Clay Pot Kebab (Testi Kebab,…read moreor Pottery Kebab) The two pots almost make a pressure cooker, so that the meat and sauce inside are incredibly TENDER! And rhe bread dough on top is the cutest -- it's there to allow steam to escape -- but not too much moisture! Sedef presented the kebab exactly as I've pictured -- it came to the table oon fire ... then they tapped the pots until they became separated ... and the meat and sauce bubbled out like a volcano! Then they served it with a rice-noodle combo. DELICIOUS! Very friendly staff, and attentive. We loved our meal here!

I was greeted outside by staff welcoming me inside just like other restaurants in the area. I was seated right away and warmly greeted by several staff. There were several men dressed in suits ready to attend to their table. The restaurant was big, clean and well lit. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I noticed mostly tourists but did see a few locals sitting and eating. Of course, I wanted to beef stew in the clay pot. I also ordered a side salad. They brought out this huge piece of bread that was hot, soft and delicious. When my food was served, it was truly an Instagram moment. The server performed for my phone and it was cool to witness in person despite seeing it several times online. Now to the real deal, the food. The food was absolutely delicious. I ate everything on my plate. Another thing that stood out for me was how hard working the cooks and the guy who baked the bread were working in the back. I acknowledged them and thanked them for the amazing meal. This is definitely a place to check out not just for the pics but the food was really worth the visit.

The service, and specifically our server, Mehmet, were incredible and amazing!! The chicken shish kebab was incredibly soft and juicy. The lentil soup was hot and light and hit the right spot on a cold night. The bread was incredible and completed the meal. We had such a great experience here! Absolutely do not hesitate to eat here when in Kapadokya!
