This place is my safe haven! I'm a professional singer and have been a client at OC Salt Therapy since 2018. Salt therapy or "halotherapy" is beneficial for a myriad of things such as eczema, sinus infections, allergies, anxiety...etc. To keep my voice and lungs healthy, I go 2-4xs a week and often bring friends to experience the magic of the salt (you get your own private room). They also have red light therapy, PEMF, AmpCoil, Sauna, and ionic foot baths which you can book online. However, I would not recommend walking in without an appointment. This place is hoppin' and it is very rare that you will find an opening without a rez. Everyone who works here is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable!!! Tips: I usually wear workout clothes or sweats. It will get in your hair and be like a dry shampoo so wear a hood if you don't want it in your lovely locks. If you have asthma, bring your rescue inhaler (the salt helps asthma and none of my asthmatic friends have ever had a problem, but advised to bring just in case). Bring water and wear socks if your feet get cold. I also bring a blanket and a book to be cozy. and...babies, even newborns, can go in the salt room. They just do lighter salt and often a shorter time frame. Get ready to get salty! read more

Are you into natural things for health too ? What have you tried ? I'm always trying new things. Love experimenting hehe Why not ? Will you try this place ? Let me know if you do ? OC Salt I love you!!! We have been coming here for a few years now. Pre- covid we tried to come monthly and now that they have re-opened hubby decided to purchase their halotherapy (salt room) package. We have been to other places for halotherapy but no one else compares to OC Salt. We drive out 30 miles to experience their concentrated salt rooms. This is how it works. You book an appt by phone or online, select the room you want to use then on appt day place dress in light colored clothes, put your belongings in the locker, take off your shoes and carefully walk into the room and relax on their comfy chairs. We prefer to turn down the lights and relax for the duration of the session taking frequent long deep breathes. It makes for a relaxing 40 minutes or so and sometimes we even fall asleep! My nose feels tingly at first but it goes away. After a few minutes you can actually taste the salt on your skin and in the air. Staff are always so super friendly and welcoming! Looking forward to our return! read more

I was recommended here for my post nasal drip and slight cough that I couldn't get rid of. Unless you buy a package then and there, expect to pay $29 for a 25 minute session. They pump in some salt mist in addition to the salty floor, which you can walk on barefoot to absorb the goodness. They provide tissues for the inevitable nasal drainage. You just sit there and breathe in the salty air until the pump stops. No food or drink inside the room itself. Location is easy ; near John Wayne with plenty of parking out front. I'll give it another try for my allergies ! read more

It's definitely great for prevention of colds and flu season but as soon as you feel one coming on run and book an appointment three days in a row, you will feel 100 times better when you were done.. I only wish that they had one in North Orange County because it is so far from where we are maybe someday we'll get lucky and they'll move closer our way. read more

Great experience for salt therapy, also red light therapy, and vibration plate. Recommend!

Great experience Did a salt room and detox foot bath. Very relaxing and everyone is so friendly. Jennifer shared a lot of information about the foot bath and what certain changes in the water meant which was really interesting. If you're in the area definitely give this a try! read more

I had been curious but nervous - I knew the health benefits but my hesitation was about going to a place where ppl go when they're sick and not wanting all the germs Well after reading about the air circulation system I felt confident to give it a shot. I had expected all our noses to gush the moment we walked in, but there was just a faint taste of salt in my mouth and it was relaxing just being in the room. 3year old did great, 5yo didn't like it so thank God for the TV. Me and hubs would go again! Nice staff as well. read more

First timer here! Really cool! We were in the blue room with no TV. Music, tissues, locker and WiFi provided. No food or drink in the salt room. Wear clothes you don't mind getting salt on. Temp in the room is 68-70 degrees, so a little on the cooler side. Wore athletic wear with sandals- you go barefoot in the salt. Great expectorant! We will be returning :) read more

This place was great and I'm so thankful I gave it a try! Woke up one morning feeling stuffy and congested. I called and the gal I spoke to was super sweet and helpful in answering all of my questions. I was able to get in for an appointment that day. Within 5 minutes of being in there, I could feel everything start to drain. You will blow your nose a lot but it's worth it! When I woke up the next day, I felt so much better. Took my dad who has extreme COPD and has been fighting what you and I would call a cold but because he is so compromised it has been 2 weeks, 2 rounds of steroids and antibiotics and still feeling weak. Researched alternative therapies for COPD and came across the Salt Caves in England and read their research with COPD. So, I Googled and was so excited when I found OC Salt Therapy in Irvine. Made an appointment that day and took my dad. Staff was wonderful and in he went for 45 ish minutes. My dad is old school and always thinks why wouldn't the medical community talk about this if it is so great. Well, I gave him my answer by that's a whole other topic! He finished the treatment and said he couldn't tell how he felt yet but that his eyes were a little watery which they said could happen and he was a little itchy in his nose. When I called to check and see how he felt this morning my mom said he got up and went golfing. He said he was going to try and play 9 rounds but he ended up playing all 18 because he felt so great. I almost fell off my chair becsude he was so tired yesterday. I'm so very excited we found this place and he will be back for another treatment in a few days. I urge anyone with respiratory issues to check this place out. Well done! read more

Our family discovered this place a couple months ago. It has been a game changer for us! It has helped us recover from colds we are exposed to way faster! It has eliminated allergy problems. After each treatment you can breath so much better. I usually have cold after cold this time of the year leading to ear infections. I haven't had one Dr. Appointment since starting Salt Therapy. The owner is so warm, sweet, informative, kind and passionate about helping people. The staff are great. We highly recommend salting with OC Salt Therapy. It helps with all things respiratory and then some! I wish I knew about it long ago! read more

My family and I love this place. We try to go when someone's dealing with allergies or getting over a cold. The kids love the two rooms with the toys and TV. It almost feels like being at the beach. Only downside is your car will be covered with salt from your clothes on the drive home, but a small price to pay. The staff is always nice and helpful. The facility is clean and welcoming. Parking can be kind of tight but we try to go early on the weekends when we can. I highly recommend trying out the salt therapy if you have any sort of allergies or respiratory problems. And the kids will love it. The rooms are big enough for at least four people. I like to recline in the chair for the 45 minute session and just relax. read more

Today was our salty experience and I am impressed! We only did 25 minute session but my daughter and I were able to feel results immediately. She has a respiratory infection and salt therapy helped get all the mucus loose and flowing. She looked better and relieved. Her eyes are no longer puffy and by the end of the night she had almost no mucus left to suction out! Both her and I suffer from allergies and asthma. I experienced rhinitis, sore throat, and post nasal drip after my session which Cindy said was normal since salt helped thin mucus and build up to expectorate. Cindy, the owner was wonderful, and very knowledgeable. Complementary tissue bags are given because your nose will run! We will be coming back!! read more

I've been coming to a weekly salt therapy session for over a year now. Robert the owner is very friendly, and is willing to accommodate occasional schedule changes. The room is very comfortable and soothing, and it helps me a lot. I am a piano and voice teacher, so I do a lot of singing every day. I feel that the salt treatments do for my upper respiratory, what my Netti pot would do for me when I have a stuffy nose. Besides the reclining blue chairs and treadmill that are in the pictures, Robert also has a wooden bench that he puts in the room for me to use, so if you are plus size. there are alternate options to the blue chairs in the picture. In the past I have gotten very bad bronchitis that has lasted for months. Since starting the salt treatments, I have not had any major respiratory infections. The only time I got a stuffy head in the last year or so was after a trip to Vegas. Regular visits seem to be the key to this wonderful preventive and soothing treatment! read more
