You spend a few minutes 3-5 minutes in the cold plunge and then about 10-15 minutes in the sauna. I literally felt pins and needles throughout my body immediately, but it felt even better getting out and going into the sauna. I only lasted about 40 seconds lol but plan to continue adding on more time once I'm used to it and mentally prepared. It's a great way to bond, recover, and relax. It's definitely a VIBE! It was nice there was a call right after I got scheduled to make sure I knew I was doing and if I've ever been to Perspire before. They made sure to go over everything in detail. Parking shouldn't be an issue as it's in a little corner of the plaza. I actually liked it a lot more than Perspire since there is a small and large size Sauna. I like that it did get hotter than Perspire and did a little bit of cardio on the bike before hand to help increase the efficiency of the Sauna. Infrared is outside and you stand there 5 mins facing both sides. Pretty easy to use. There are goggles if you need but he explained to me it's healthy for you if you close your eyes and face it as well. It's not too too bright. They have - a full towel service (dry towels to sit on & dry off with AND a chilled towel for after) - a chilled water refill station - plenty of parking - stationary bikes to get your heart pumping before a sauna session - clean rooms - bathroom - TV to watch Netflix from inside the sauna (speakers are inside of the sauna) - nice, happy staff I would've loved to hop in a cold shower right after, even an outdoor swimsuit on type rinse off. I used the sauna for a large portion of my life. I love the heat. I got sick and tired of having to do the communal sauna including the one at the globo gyms. Those are gross. Daily: 5AM- 1 hour Strength Cross Training; 0620- 1 to 2 mile cold ocean swim with no wet suit; and 0730- Come here and reap the huge benefits of the infrared, heat, goodness. The leather chaise absorbs body heat especially after the Fire House. It was possibly the heavy cotton uniform that you're issued. Seemed like the females out numbered the males 10:1. So many pink uniforms in the common area. It's unfortunate that there is no talking allowed in the Fire or Salt houses. Even with whispering, it's very annoying and bothersome. I suppose it could be worse but it really disturbed my relaxation. Even though the spa provides free soaps, shampoo, and conditioner in the showers, it's still bulk industrial cleansers. It dried out my skin, didn't feel very good after showering. It's just slightly better than rinsing off the sweat in a hot shower. The men's TV room was blacked out, no TV on, a large quiet room. But, who can find peace in there with loud snoring and other noises coming from outside or the AC ducts. The cafe is still there. Didn't eat but the delicious smell of bul-go-gi was so amazing. There were 6 of us so we broke into groups of 3 and scheduled back to back. Overall, I loved the experience. We started with laying in comfy recliners while wearing compression sleeves that inflate to squeeze the life out of your hips or legs. I did 15 minutes on my hips and 15 minutes on my legs and I was so comfy that I knocked out hard for at least 5 minutes. When I was done, it was off to red light therapy area for me, then 20 minutes in the infrared sauna. The red light therapy area was warm and I'm not sure how much benefit I got, but was definitely worth 7 minutes. The sauna was not extremely hot, although it was over 150 degrees. I didn't sweat my a$$ off which is what happens when I usually go into a sauna. This was ok with me as I had just had my hair done that morning and my curls stayed relatively intact. Then it was off to the cold plunge. I was coached through being able to stay in for 20 minutes and after the initial few minutes, it really wasn't that hard. I wish this place wasn't closing! We learned that they will just be open til the end of the month. Sad, as I would have totally come back!
