Her depth of knowledge in gut health, immune dysfunction, hormones, and inflammatory conditions is impressive. I saw Dr. Vreeland in 2018 after a good friend of mine highly recommended her. I was experiencing autoimmune issues and was drawn to her because of her natural, naturopathic approach. I can say that she helped me with my issues on a 2/10 scale. For the amount of money that I paid, I felt like she was always rushed, didn't really care, and she didn't address the root cause of my health issues. I stopped seeing her because I felt like I kept spending money but wasn't really improving health-wise. I was only getting my surface issues remediated. While she is very sweet, courteous and appears to care, I got treated like a number. The first time she literally stood up and opened the door when the time was up while I was mid sentence!!!! Really?! The second visit, it was a 30 minute appointment she kept looking at her watch. I pay out of pocket, for the amount of $$ I paid I expected better than this!! They seem very money motivated. When I needed to do bloodwork, they scheduled it within seconds just after I said I might do bloodwork they didn't even wait for me to make up my mind!!!! She also gave me wrong advice about a supplement that if I didn't do my own research and decided not to take would have been detrimental to my health!! The front desk staff are like robots doing a million things at once and not present. They also have an attitude and argumentative. I had a discrepancy about paperwork and instead of being helped, I got major attitude!! I get that running a practice like this is costly but if you want to keep clients maybe treat them as people not numbers! Dr. Vreenland absolutely blew my mind. On my first visit she started out by asking all the necessary questions, and ones that all seemed to reveal answers towards the end. Dr. Vreenland is calm, patient, so knowledgeable and listened very well. I cried and cried and cried as she asked the questions, yet she was so comforting throughout it all. I was able to get a start to my regime, and also did two different lab tests that first visit. I have worked with many great doctors, and even gave 5 star reviews for some. Dr. Vreeland deserves 6 stars!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Vreeland for about 4 years now. She is the best! Her generosity with her time is simply unmatched. Her competence level is through the roof. She cares about her patients, and it clearly shows through her actions. I'd send her messages through the client portal with quick questions and she replies fast free of charge. I used to take a lot of medicines with serious side effects, because of my asthma and allergies, and with the help of her low dose allergen shots as well as her supplement recommendations, I don't need to take those medicines any more, and see additional doctors. My health has never been better thanks to her. I used to be the first one in my family to get sick and I get sick about 6-9 times a year lasting a week or two. My wife works as a teacher and I have 2 young daughters in school. After 6-12 months of following Dr. Vreeland's regimen, I rarely get sick now. I love Dr. Vreeland. She has been doing so much for my health, physically and mentally. When I first went to see her, I was in and out of the hospital every 3-4 weeks when I would get a cold because my immune system was so suppressed. Since I've seen her, it's been almost 3 months without a hospital visit. It's interesting because I thought this was great, but she pointed out that I could be feeling even better than I am now. I just felt like Dr. Vreeland has my best interest in mind and wants me to be at my best. Dr. Vreeland is absolutely amazing! She really cares about getting to the solution, not just giving you something to mask your symptoms. She's creative and friendly in her approach and more importantly she listens, making you and your input part of the conversation and ultimately the solution. My story: I was diagnosed with a pretty common Thyroid Autoimmune Immune Disorder, Hashimotos in 2002 and I was getting regular care for my thyroid from an Endocrinologist. Several years after my initial diagnose my "common autoimmune disorder" went rouge and started presenting with non-textbook symptoms. Drs. I saw prior to DR V wanted to write it off as a number of different things always ending with masking type drugs like Antidepressant etc. I refused to take any even though I was extremely desperate, knowing that wasn't the issue (I saw over 7 MD/DO's total). Dr. Vreeland literally saved my life. In 2012 I was having severe heart palpitations and panic attacks and couldn't sleep. Only 1-2 hours per night if that and this was going on for months. I went to the ER four times in an ambulance. MD's told me I was in great shape and just needed to take it easy. I went to four kaiser doctors and the first one told me I needed Paxil. I told her I wasn't depressed and she said, "all my patients love Paxil". Creepy. The next doctor told me that I was a big guy and that I should really just have one more glass of wine per night. His diagnosis was drink more alcohol. True story. 3rd and 4th doctor were basically the same. Dr. Vreeland knew in 3 minutes that I was mineral deficient. She gave me a homeopathic remedy that helped me to sleep that first night for 4 hours. Second night for 6 hours. Amazing. I started taking supplements for minerals and I haven't had a problem since. I sleep 8-9 hours per night, heart is excellent and no panic attacks. She saved my life. She also got rid of an awful skin disease that I had since i was 15 called foliculitus. She took me off grains and simple carbs and told me to eat more healthy fat like coconut oil and avocado and MCT oil. Clear skin now.
