I regret not coming to Magnolia Wellness (to see a naturopath doctor) sooner! They take a deep dive into your health to get down to the specifics of your concerns. I finally feel like my voice is being heard and listened to. In the last couple of years, I've put on a significant amount of weight. After hiring a personal trainer and nutritionist, I couldn't seem to lose the weight. After speaking with Dr. Wills at great length about my concerns, she ordered a comprehensive blood test where we found a few different issues going on. I came to Magnolia Wellness specifically for the labor induction treatment at 39 weeks and 6 days pregnant. After having to be induced late in my pregnancy with my first baby, I really wanted to go in to labor naturally this time. My friend recommended Magnolia Wellness because it put her in to labor within 24 hours and while I was skeptical, I decided to try it... It worked! 24 hours later, contractions started and a short 6 hours later my baby was born with a successful VBAC! Magnolia is the 3rd business I have been to for acupuncture over our 4 year fertility journey. The first was too expensive and the second only treated me for infertility, not for anything else going on in my body. From the moment I walked into Magnolia, over a year a half ago, I felt "home". The treatments I have received during that time from Angela, Kelsey, Abby, and Alison have always been about what is going on with my body. They have never been simply based on infertility, even though that has always been part of the plan. We have worked on building and nourishing the blood in my body as well as making my body a more welcoming place for an embryo. The customer service is top notch...from calling on the phone, to walking in the door, to the private room treatment. I highly doubt you will find better acupuncture care in the SoCal area. Angela is amazing. I can't believe how much better I feel since starting acupuncture 1.5 years ago. She genuinely wants people to feel their best and always tries to get to the root of the problem. I was taking 3 medications when I first started treatment, now I don't take any except for herbal supplements. I have so much more energy, minimal anxiety, and non-existent heartburn (unless I cheat on my diet). The new locations is centrally located, making it easy to get to. She has more rooms than her previous place, and the atmosphere is serene and comfortable. I almost always fall asleep during treatment. Last weekend, I somehow threw out my back and neck. I've had massage and PT before, but never acupuncture. For some reason, I felt I should give acupuncture a try. SO GLAD I DID! I HIGHLY recommend this practice. Angela and Sabrina took amazing care of me. They talked me through the procedure, including cupping (!) and made sure I was comfortable. The next day, I was feeling 70% better, the day after 80%. Sabrina (great hands, and great personality!) told me I'd likely come back for one more session and I did. My back felt 100% better, but my neck was still very sore. They focused on that yesterday... Today, I feel 99% better! They told me they hoped not to see me again, and they may not. Not only is this place very calming and relaxing when you walk in, you're warmly greeted at the front desk and offered water or tea. My acupuncturist Angela is attentive to injuries or issues I'm having and focuses on them. I suffer from years of chronic pain from numerous injuries and sleeping issues so that is what Angela focuses on for me. The first time I had an acupuncture treatment from Angela, I fell asleep into the deepest sleep I've had in a couple of years while I'm her table. It was so relaxing I had to sit in the lobby for about 10 minutes before I could drive. I've only been seeing Angela for 3-4 months but she is making an overall improvement in my quality of life. I've been treated by 3 other acupuncturist before going to Angela from a recommendation and she has by far been the best fit for me. For the guys reading this, you may think that the facility is a bit feminine and there's a lot of crystals throughout the space (which I'm not a spiritual guy and that stuff is not my jam) but it is very soothing just being there. I immediately feel less stressed and anxious just being there. Angela is a wonderful listener so not only does she help with your physical issues she's attentive to your needs and remembers discussions from your last treatment...so she's almost like my therapist too. Kelsey Beckman is an amaaazing acupuncturist!!! I'm so glad I found her!!! I always feel like she knows exactly what she's doing and even took extra little steps to make sure I felt better (like herbal suggestions, dietary suggestions, etc). If you're new to acupuncture, I would recommend trying different people. I started with a few sessions with Angela but I never felt great afterwards. I also found her kind but dismissive, which also didn't feel great. I don't think this means she's a bad acupuncturist - I just think she wasn't my girl!
