    two jars of honey
    Miki S.

I have been looking for the local honey for the allergy symptom release. I found the place! So this place is a house. So you may want to call her first, and get there. I called her to make sure I was in the right place. I bought the smaller ones which are Tustin one and Irvine one. She said probably both works for my allergy. I live in the close enough neighborhood for Tustin and Irvine. The flavors are different so I will try both and see which one I like more! Or both Thank you

This is my first time trying local honey for pollen allergy, I got the Irvine Wildflower honey and Tustin Wildflower honey. Although Tustin and Irvine are next to each other, their wildflower honey taste very different. I enjoy them both! They are nicely packed in a jar. The owner is very responsive to email, and I learned that raw honey may crystallize but will never go bad from her, no refrigeration needed. I emailed OC local honey for any questions, ordered and paid online, then called Christine to confirm pick up address, time and date. FYI, pick up is at a home in OC, just ring the doorbell and someone will assist you

She instills the importance of bees to plants and the stark difference in crops from non-pollinated vs pollinated. She has, in her words, a "small yard homestead." The tour includes her two gardens, tangible demos of what she can make from her bounty, chicken and horse feeding, and viewing placards of beehives and the honey extraction process... plus the beehive box, protective suits and bee frames... just NO bees, forewarning! You can tour the honey house and view the equipment for her honey operation, and sample her honey, plus her lotions and balms. Our group bought the large 12 oz size! Overall an informative tour! But the main attraction of bees could not be witnessed due to the risk of being stung. Janet had a small hive that she showed to us from a distance.

I'm fond of Old Town Tustin and my husband is fond of tea, so we didn't hesitate to check out the little red building. Being relatively new to the area, I began experiencing sinus issues in the mornings. Since I didn't have a cold, my body could have been resisting local pollen and other airborne allergens. A friend suggested that every morning, I take a small spoonful raw, unprocessed honey harvested as close to my neighborhood as possible. The idea is to consistently expose my immune system to become familiar and "play nice" with the allergens. Zama carries BB honey from good ol' Tustin Ranch, Yorba Linda, and Laguna Niguel. I couldn't get closer to home than T-R! While I'm not certain this natural approach is effective, my sinuses have been happier... and my husband said the honey with its antioxidants is healthier than processed sugar. I also learned that BB sells honey at the Tustin Farmers Market on Wednesdays and that funds support efforts to save the bees. The amount of honey it's able to supply depends on the bees as well as rainfall & humidity. * Praying against water-shortages and drought.*

We were lucky enough to be served by Spencer, who completely elevated the entire experience. When I say knowledgeable, I mean next level, not just about the menu, but about beer, mead, cider, wine, stouts... everything. He took us on this deep dive into the history of mead and alcohol that turned what could've been a simple night out into something way more meaningful. It honestly felt like a full sensory experience. We didn't go there just to drink, Spencer reminded us that it's about appreciating the flavors, the craft, and the story behind each pour. And while I'll admit... I definitely got a little tipsy ... it was one of those perfect nights where everything just clicks -- great conversation, amazing company, and outstanding service. Also, the options?! So many good ones it was hard to choose, but a couple standouts for me were the Huck Yu and the Blueberry Crepe mead, absolutely delicious. I'm already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a place that's equal parts fun, educational, and just a genuinely good time, this is it.

They were having a movie night trivia when we were there; however we were too distracted by the Nintendo switch games to participate. It's bar style here - you order drinks, pick your corner or join the bar, and play board games or video games or just chill. They don't serve food, but there is a snack corner, including a selection of ramen noodles. The drinks are brewed in house, so they're on tap and are poured per order. The staffs are very friendly and efficient. Now the highlight, I absolutely love the drinks. I have a little kids tastebuds when it comes to alcohol, so I loved all the sweet options. Of the one we tried this time, my favorite were the Post Watermalone and the T.L.C. They taste like juice, which is what I prefer. They have a wide selection that offer different tastes for everyone. Besides the fresh on tap drinks, they also have the 16-oz can for take home. Personally, I love their drinks and would definitely come back occasionally, since it's a bit of a drive for me. I would love to frequent if I was closer.

They also have happy hour Tuesdays-Thursday from 2:00-5:30pm, where they offer house wines for $5 and personal cheese board for $10. For boards, I usually get the Goldilocks specialty board, which comes with 3 cheeses ranging in texture from soft to hard. For an additional cost, you can add meat: prosciutto, salami, Spanish chorizo, or half & half of any two. For paninis, everything I've tried was very good. I've had the Signature which has a double-cream brie, pear slices, mixed greens, and fig jam. Lib Grilled Cheese comes with three premium cheese blend, grilled with olive oil, and minced garlic. All paninis are on their sourdough bread and served with their signature side salad. The decor here is very cute - showcasing their cheese fridge and shelves lined with wines and jams available for purchase. There are some tables both indoors and outside. I recently saw that they host events, offer quick same-day catering within 2-3 hours of ordering, and deliver for orders up to 50 people! Always coming back for their cheese boards and great happy hour!

My first visit was a few months ago, and I felt like I was bothering our server for water refills, napkins and other things. It was a Saturday night and while it was not packed, it took about an hour to get 2 panini's. Went today for my birthday, and my adult son told the server that the three of us were sitting on patio. Server shows up with 2 menus and 2 glasses for water. Sees me and scolds my son for not telling her that there was a third person. She brings a 3rd glass but never a 3rd menu. I specifically mention that we are here for happy hour specials. There is only 1 other table occupied, otherwise it's empty. We wait over 20 minutes to place our order. 1 personal board supposed to be $10. Plus (2) panini's. Wait another 30+ minutes... get our food and that's it. No check in - no water refills. My son goes and gets the server for a box and to order another personal board. We wait another long period to get it. I go inside to taste some cheese. We add on something to our bill. It was $104... I do some quick math and assume the price is because of the cheese I added to the bill. I add a tip on the lowish side, because we didn't really get any "service" to be worth the $18 I added onto it. I get home to review the receipt... and was charged $20 for the personal boards + the add ons... I am so let down. I spent $130 and didn't get awesome service or the happy hour discount. I was expecting to pay $50-$60 ish, and this caught me off guard. I have learned my lesson and won't be going back. I added the pictures so yelp-er's can see portion sizes, of the personalized cheese board.
