    Fresh fruit available for $3

THEY SHOOT - WE SCORE!! Healthy options available at a hockey game? Yes, please! As a season ticket holder for the Anaheim Ducks, I try to avoid buying the food items at the Honda Center. Partially because it costs an arm and a leg, but also because most of the food isn't good for you. Sure, a casual fan can take in nachos, hot dog and a beer, but going to at 40+ games a season, I would like something a bit healthier, and eating a pretzel every game gets old, not to mention carby. A few years ago, I spoke with Mr Versace, head of the food and beverage, in great details about giving fans the option of healthier snacks. The biggest obstacle (he said) was not enough fans really seemed to want them. They tried it with hummus, then added a few fresh fruits, but they went bad by the 3rd game. My rebuttal was: Well, duh!! If they don't promote they have that healthy option, fans won't know. Keep trying, I said. Somehow the Honda Center and Melissa's Produce came into an agreement, and in the 200 level was given a kiosk with a medley of fresh fruits, some nuts and dried fruit. It didn't start off very strong, but I think now its caught on, as I find myself getting to the kiosk earlier to get an Sumo orange, Asian Pear, or even the plumpest grapes I've seen before they sell out. Its also a bargain at $3.00 each, which is about the same price I pay when I go to the Korean markets or even Whole Food. Thank you Melissa's Produce for giving the option of healthier snacks! They also have gluten free items. They're located near Wahoo's in the lower level, and in the 400 level near 434. They may have similar selections at the Staples Center and the Stub Hub Center.

I think the La Palma drive address listed in Yelp might be outdated unless there's also one still going on at that location in an alternate universe/timeline. When I came there were a few food vendors and a few produce vendors set up right in the parking lot to the east of the building and I could see the tents from a distance. I opted for pupusas and ate them in a little outdoor dining area right near the booths. The tables have umbrellas to keep you protected from the hot sun so that's a nice touch. The door leading into the building next to the dining area is also open so you have access to bathrooms if you need them. Parking - there are lots of parking spaces around... the farmers market wasn't crowded at all. It is a rather small farmers market so most likely you wouldn't spend too much time here.

It's definitely not the biggest but I think they have just about everything you would look for in a Farmer's Market. Lots of pre-cooked food options available so make sure to come hungry to try them all. The ones that are honorable mentions: the coffee booth that serves unique flavored lattes, the empanadas station (it is so moist and different than I've ever had anywhere else! - would highly recommend!), and the tamale station (most popular station I would say and I know why. The tamales are very flavorful and moist. The hot sauce also compliments it very well. Would highly recommend!) There were other cool spots that I would want to try next time: Cold Noodles, Filipino food, and a Mexican Zamba juice beverage booth and others! I like this farmers market mainly for the chicken eggs (kind reminder to NOT buy white eggs from the lady here. Her white egg yolk is not rich in color or flavor. It's what I would buy non-organic everywhere else. Look at my pic for reference), fresh produce, and berries/fruits! They sell lots of other things like hummus, hot sauce, fun activities, and more! Parking is great and the vendors are all very nice and friendly. Remember to bring bags because you'll probably be buying a lot! I'll be coming back!

When I went, there was only 1 vendor who offered something thats sizeable enough to be a meal. Almost half of the other vendors sold baked goods or snacks, so make sure to eat a good meal before you come here. I wish they had more food to offer Aside from that, I was happy with their choices of vendors and hope they keep letting them attend. Saw one full of crystals, which I pictured, and I saw one that sold alpaca-wool goods and traditional souvenirs. There was a sweet old lady with her handmade soap which I made sure to support, because it didnt seem like anyone came by and I really wanted to help her out. We finally decided today would be the day! It took a few turns around the towne center area to find the farmers market. When we got there the place was pretty packed. Everything looked and smelled so fresh. Many vendors were eager to give out samples as we passed by trying to decide what we wanted to buy. My sister had tried the juice vendor before, so we knew we wanted to get some fresh juice. Tasted soo good. Will have to come back for more of this. The price is $6-7 per glass bottle. We also ended up with an unplanned purchase of pears (red and green ones) and apples from a fruit vendor at the end of the farmers market. The nice man insisted we try his pears, which we kindly declined at first, but he was so passionate about wanting us to try his fruit we gave in. He sliced up a red pear and gave me the whole thing to eat. After one bite, I understood why he wanted to give out samples because there was no way you could walk away without making a purchase! Even my baby sister who isn't a bug fruit person to begin with enjoyed the samples. Their pears at a glance didn't look that good, so I can see why they needed to get people to taste it. Lol. This vendor really stood out to me and will be back to support their business and their delicious fruit. On the way back to the front of the market, we noticed there was coffee from seven syllables. I've been wanting to try their coffee, so I was glad to see them! I ordered the ube latte and my sister got their vanilla latte. My ube latte looked like it'd be super sweet, but to my surprise it was not sweet and could taste their coffee which I appreciated! I would order this again. Overall, very good experience and can't wait to come back.
