These guys are awesome. They know what they're doing and do it well. Matt is able to answer any question you could possibly think of related to Cerakoting. What will work, what won't, what colors work well together, which parts should be which color, etc, etc. It can get pricey really fast, but I firmly believe that you need to pay for quality, and you absolutely get what you pay for here. read more

Had a small hiccup at the start of my experience but Paul quickly took care of the situation. I can appreciate Paul's dedication to his business and can tell he cares about his customers and the quality of work he produces. My firearm came back quicker then the time I was quoted, which wasnt expected. The quality of work is exceptional. Thank you very much read more

I took my old sig p220 in to have a complete makeover. I was told the turn around time was 7-10 weeks. Exactly 7 weeks later I get a call; my gun is done. As promised, the cerakote was rock solid! I'm looking forward to see how it holds up under hard use. Friendly and very professional staff. I'd definitely recommend anyone who wants a firearm coated, I know I'll be returning for more projects. read more

Outstanding!! Paul, Thanks for cerakoting my guns and mags, they came out very nice! See you soon for other projects!!

They do the best ceracoating I've ever seen. Super helpful and friendly, I use them all the time. Highly recommend!!

Great, high quality, enthusiast owned and operated establishment. Prices are reasonable and turn around time is excellent. read more

The guys did a great job, but I went to the range the day after I picked them up and I noticed 6 jams on Glock 17 and CZ75 SPO1 after the cerakote job. They never jammed prior to this and had them for a year so I dunno what the issue is but I'm hoping I can bring back to them after the re-break in process that They explained to me (I guess they are super tight after baking) read more

What an amazing and professional job these guys do. I've attached pictures of my daily carry. They knocked the color out of the park. Very happy with the service and finished product. read more

Inquired about cost and timeframe for some work. The armorer who I spoke with was hella cool and took his time to explain the whole process.

Wow, best place to have work done hands down. The quality was excellent. Dennis helped me out over the phone and he is a pro! He was very helpful and patient. Next time i call i am going to do more research on my own before i call because they have so many options it was hard for me to decide over the phone. The website is fun to check out, a lot of good ideas to look at. From first phone call to pick up--smoothness. read more

OC custom coatings consistently gets 5 star ratings; I know why! Patient curteous and polite. They finished two items I have them to coat over a week ahead of schedule. Each piece had a teardown, tons of prep work, and a rebuild. They were fast efficient and very fairly priced. I've never had anything cerakoted and usually stick to black. They helped me with the complete parts and advised me what would come out the best and the best looking color schemes. I will be bringing back multiple pieces. Thank you Matt & Paul. read more

I love these guys, they get what kind designs you want. Their work is amazing. The turn around time is great and priced fair. I'll keto coming back read more

These guys are friendly, professional, and quick! They did an amazing job custom engraving some yeti cups for me in only 3 or 4 days a company party. Super fast turnaround and amazing quality. The engraving looks PERFECT. I have worked with many different vendors like this, and OC Custom Coatings is a cut above the rest. Well done and thank you!!! Can't wait to work with you all again in the future. read more

Great work! Had the slide and plates done on a Glock 19. Came out awesome. I've suggested them to friends and coworkers and will be bringing another firearm in soon. read more

OC Custom Coating is phenomenal. Their customer service was outstanding, and while they can't always return calls and emails immediately, they never fail to respond. I got my AR Cerakoted in Tungsten with Black accents, and reassembled perfectly before I received it back. The custom engraving looked amazing. As a professional armorer with decades of firearm experience, Paul even took the time to round out a couple edges of parts to make sure tolerances were tight. A genuinely remarkable company to do business with. And honestly, their prices are surprisingly low! When comparing services and craftsmanship from other companies, you might pay the same amount for work that clearly has lower standards. Truth be told, I'm a customer all the way from Idaho, and would gladly ship all my firearms to OC Custom Coating, rather than finding somebody local with lower standards. read more

These guys are awesome. I've had two lowers laser engraved with my own illustrator file and it came out bitchin. Waiting on my cerakote job now, but I couldn't recommend them enough. read more

OUTSTANDING! Matt was not only professional but friendly and informative. He did not try to sell me anything other than the service I requested. The turn around was quicker than expected. Quality coating with people you can trust. They also give veteran discounts which was much appreciated. I am extremely pleased with their service and would recommend them to anyone looking for quality coating at reasonable prices. read more

It was a pleasure to work with Paul from OcCustomCoating. It was my first time getting a firearm part coated in cerakote. Paul explained everything thoroughly via email which I prefer. Emails were replied in the utmost professional manner. Turn around time was quite fast for the service I ask for. The finished work was amazing. The quality of the work was unbelievable professional. The refinished, looked as if it came from the factory. OcCustomCoating is highly recommended. If you have Paul coating for you, you won't be disappointed. read more

Had the guys cerakote a couple receivers they did an amazing job and had them finished before promised. Will definetly be taking more projects to them. Thanks again read more

Great cerakote and gunsmith. They have Cerakoted my pistol, installed my triggers, and sights. Super reasonable prices. Nice custom cerakote colors. And very knowledgeable and nice staff. read more

In the old days, you got basic black with your tactical firearms. Now, the sky is the limit! I have had several firearms coated by these folks now with excellent results. Matt is the customer service representative who generally helps you when you arrive. Matt is great at this and patiently answers all of your questions and shows you samples and options so you will make an informed decision. No pressure, no fast talk. The coatings are very durable and don't seem to be prone to scuffing. You can easily have color matches to Magpul colors and I recently had a PRS stock recolored because I could not find it for sale in grey. It exactly matched the FDE grip I am using after it was coated. I recently had a 1925 Remington pump .22 coated instead of blued and it came out looking new! By the way, this rifle was about 85% on the original blue. They offer a lifetime guarantee on the work. This is a company I highly recommend ! read more

All I got to say is THIS SHOP IS TOP NOTCH! Stepping through the door I was immediately greeted by Matt who in my opinion truly makes this business shine. Having no experience with cerakote, Matt kindly answered all my questions regarding the product and by the end had me confident enough to have my pistol slide serviced. At the time of drop off Matt quoted me at around a one-month turnaround so when I got a call two and a half weeks later I was pleasantly surprised. The slide came out perfect. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for good armory. The team at OC custom coatings did a spectacular job on my Xdm, but what really stands out is their attention to quality and customer satisfaction. Thanks Matt, I appreciate it. read more

The work is as good as any I have seen, the knowledge of guns is excellent, and service is top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for coatings. Just got my two lowers and two uppers back from Matt today and I have nothing but good things to say. Matt is a stand up guy with great customer service and great communication. Been looking for gunsmith since other guy moved from OC. Found these guys on line. Had my rifle/ gun cleaned/ serviced. The best customer service and repairs. May be little on expensive side but I don't mind paying for this kind of service. Try this place it is amaing read more

Matt was very helpful. His customer service is 2nd to none. Thanks for all your help. Definitely will be coming back to see y'all again.

Paul, at OC Custom Coatings was great! He got my rail cerakoted and back to me with amazing speed. The work quality is outstanding and it looks incredible. I'm glad he's close, because I'll be getting more work done by him. read more

Place is a damn joke. Contacted them a while back for what would have been a pretty significant purchase and still nada. Maybe good place if you have the TIME to come and fart around at the store to ask questions and get quotes (ie you don't have a job), but when it comes to technology, their website is practically useless. Patience is slim for lacking companies. read more

I had my Remington 870 coated by them and they did an excellent job. You can't match their customer service. I came back in after a year to have a second barrel done a new choke and magazine cap, and every time Matt went above and beyond. They matched everything to the original. I love the quality of service and the finish work they did. read more

Update, they did ask how they could improve the process and informed me of their future plans when it comes down to communicating with their customers. Customer service is EVERYTHING, I come from a company that goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure their customer is satisfied. The fact that they asked how they could improve speaks wonders. As I said in my original review they do amazing work and I will be taking my future projects to them to get work done. I strongly believe in the saying you get what you pay for. They do superb work and are very honest when it comes down to the process prior to leaving the building. Matt was who I dealt with and seems as though he is very dedicated to ensuring the customer is satisfied with their product. After all you spend all that time and money getting your firearm together then drop off your parts, you do expect a quality job well done. I admire that they stand behind their work, and warranty their work. I will be taking future builds to this place. Good Jobs guys keep it up! read more

Very professional and customer oriented outfit. Paul took the time to explain cerakote process in detail, was on time, and delivered a quality product as promised. Very clean facility, well ran, and professional. I had my Glock 31 slide finished in Burnt Bronze. The finish Paul did, looked as if came straight from the factory. Very reasonably priced and work was performed in very detailed and diligent manner. To all businesses, little things do matter! read more

These guys are the BEST. I had a question on a great pistol that was super low priced because of a poor previous coating job so many people passed on it, i almost did as well. I contacted Matt and OC Custom Coating and he told me what he could do and what it would cost and where to be on the purchase price. Bought it/dropped off same day/ just picked it up and its better than from the factory. Couldn't have done it without Matt and i couldn't be happier with the quality and quick service. Cant wait to get my next project over to them!!!! read more

This is by far the best custom coating shop in O.C., I just received my HK P7M8 back and it is absolutely amazing. Matt and Paul are great guys to deal with and there customer service is great. I had my weapon two/tone color combination and I was a bit apprehensive, I picked the correct colors. I should of known better, Matt and the crew did a fantastic job. I am so impressed with the outcome. Color and finish is flawless. You can not go wrong taking your parts there. This is the 4th time I've taken parts there and have never been disappointed. I be back with more parts and with my custom color build. read more
