Specialized is a great place to go for powder coating and heat coatings. I recently dropped of intercooler piping, radiator brackets, and an intake manifold which was all originally powder coated wrinkle red from the factory. The original powder coat was getting a little old and slowly chipping away so I decided to step it up and overhaul the whole look of the engine bay. With the help from the guys at Specialized I decided to go with a two stage candy violet powder coat. Specialized even helped me send out all my parts to be chemically stripped and cleaned up so that the powder coat would come out perfect. I would highly recommend stripping your own parts before you bring it to Specialized if you are looking to save money. If you are on a time crunch like me I would just let Specialized handle everything for you. The service is awesome and the end result is show quality powder coating. Powder coating here is definitely not cheap but you get what you pay for. I uploaded a few pictures on to Yelp so that everyone can see the quality of work that Specialize can provide. I have had numerous things coated here and was helped by Kelly the last few times. Some other guy helped me today. Quoted a price that was twice (his words) the price because they would need to get the powder. This is from a vendor they use and have the catalog for. I always try to help local businesses but when they can't use common sense and not gouge customers, I'll go elsewhere. I spoke with Bob over the phone on 3/22/17 and got a quote of $120 to ceramic coat my turbo manifold, which is a small 4 cylinder log manifold. I explained in detail the manifold length and size along with how many runners it has and flange diameter. He said $120. I then drive today all the way over there and spoke with Kelly and he tells me it's $180. I told him I spoke with Bob over the phone and he quoted me less, so he says let me get him for you. Bob comes from the back and says let me help you over here. I showed him the manifold and he says "I thought you were talking about a turbo housing?" I told him over the phone it was a Manifold with four short runners. He then said there was a misunderstanding and that Kelly would help me out cause he knows better about pricing. Kelly was firm on the $180. So I passed and left. They obviously don't need my business. What I don't understand is how can Bob play dumb in front of me. And how do you get a turbine housing and an exhaust manifold confused. Lol. They probably don't do many manifolds. Bottom Line..They could have taken care of a customer, instead they didn't care I walked out the door. Very unprofessional. Don't bring your business there. They'll quote you low on the phone, once you get in the door they'll jack up the price!! read more

Specialized is the only place I would have powder coat any of my stuff. This place is simply amazing. I worked with Kelly and the crew of Specialized for years powder coating endless numbers of items. This includes wheels, suspension parts, manifolds, bike frames, and even a wine rack. There wasn't any metal part that I through at them that they were unable to handle. I'm sure I'm on of the few that can say I've had over 1000 pieces powder coated by specialized. Their pricing is extremely competitive for the industry and especially cheap when considering their level of experience. Great place to take your metal parts to have powder coated. One of the few places that knows how to powder coat forged rims. ( see pics of my red wheels ) they do a great job, and the prices are very competative. Ive had a few sets of wheels done here and they have come out great. Only draw back is that they are busy and sometimes it takes them a few weeks to get them done. most shops are like that though. But its worth the wait here. read more
