Amazing work from the guys here at OC Custom Coating! They are literal perfectionists and extremely knowledgable about firearm cerakoting. It really is amazing how flawless my Flat Dark Earth stripped lower on my Glock 19 came out from these guys. Just look at that beauty. It looks like it literally came from the Glock factory!! 5/5 Definitely recommend to anyone looking to do any type cerakote on anything! read more

I took a pair of Oakley Carbon Plate glasses in to have them coated. I was skeptical that they could get them done without scratching the lenses. When I picked them up I was beyond pleased. I forget where I picked up a card for OC Custom Coatings, but I'm really glad I did. After looking through the gallery on their website I decided to take a Glock 17 I had just bought down to have it cerakoted. This was a leap of faith and I had not even fired the gun yet. I'm not big on "fancying up" guns as I'm fairly practical about mine. This was the first gun I have had cerakoted. Matt helped me when I arrived and was obviously very knowledgeable. He knew his job and he knew guns. A great combo! I went with a tri-color scheme as you can see in the photo I attached. They did an excellent job with it. The finish matches up where the different colors meet at the junction between the slide and the frame. They also cerakoted the magazine baseplates and alternate back straps. I couldn't be more pleased with the work they did unless the did it for free! I will definitely go back to OC Custom Coatings for any other cerakoting beed Update: I now have about 600 rounds through the gun and it ran flawlessly. I have heard horror stories about other places applying coatings too thick, etc and causing guns to jam. No problems here. Brand new gun, cerakoted, and no jams or failures at all. read more

Color combination was my pick and I was a little afraid it wasn't going to look ok, but seen the end result, I think it's just amazing. What a great company. Plenty of examples of their work on Instagram. Customer service was impeccable. They are friendly and helpful. No job to great. Pricing is right on the money and wait time isn't ornerous. The work itself is fantastic and their attention detail is hard to match. They can disassemble and reassemble without fears of mucking it up. Can't wait for my next custom coat. read more

Wow! These guys are serious about their work. I took in a badly rusted Saiga 12, when I brought it in, a couple guys who were in the back came out and were excited to work on it. I was quoted 4-5 weeks (supply issues) but they knocked the extensive job out in under 2 weeks! If this place was rated like hotels, it would be awarded 5 Stars! Thank you Steve, Corey, Will, Jacob & Paul! read more

This place is GREAT and Will is the BEST!!! My Browning wasn't working and I thought that the firing pin might be damaged. Will quoted me a price, I left it there but was told that I would need to bring in a magazine so they could test it out. A couple of days later I brought the magazine back only to find out that my gun was finished! Apparently one of the guys there had one that fit. Will took it apart, cleaned it and tightened everything up which seemed to be the only problem. Better yet I was charged LESS than the original quote. These guys do great work, they're super duper nice and the prices are very reasonable!!! If you need ANYTHING done you have got to go there!!! read more

One word: MEGA! Paul of OC Custom Coating is a phenomenal person. The quality of his work is unprecedented. I got my S&W M&P cerakoted in Magpul FDE and the slide microslicked. On top of that, I had him installed new sights and a new trigger system into the gun. The end result looks phenomenal. I thought it was impossible to love my gun more as it is, but I was wrong. The unparalleled quality of his workmanship and the A+ customer service is the surefire way to make me a regular at OC Custom Coating. I mean, look at all his previous reviews-its a testament that he is a true professional. I'm satisfied and would recommend checking him out. read more

This is the second project I sent to MAD, the first was when they were operating in Washington state. Both experiences were seamless and professional. They use the telephone, both in making and answering calls. I like being able to talk to someone. The work quality is top notch, always well applied coating to all exposed areas whether seen or not. I like that too. The pricing is fair, and the guys there seem really down to earth. If they can't do something, they'll let you know straight away, and if they can it'll be done well and done right. I'll be back with future projects I'm sure. read more

OC CUSTOM COATING Is by far the best CUSTOM COATING shop in town. The work I got done on my AR15 was amazing far past my expectations. Quality in detail is exquisite. They have amazing customer service. Always kept me updated. Receive my AR back a timely manner which is awesome. I went with a Star Wars theme battle torn rifle. I cannot say how much I love the design that they put on it. I would highly recommend them to anybody to get work done. Their prices are probably one of the best. read more

These guys do high quality work. Dennis and his staff were very helpful in describing the cerakote process and how to care for the finish. I had them do a satin aluminum finish on my Glock 19 slide. The result was better than expected and the price was reasonable. Turn around time was 2 weeks even with the holiday season in full effect. If you're looking to just get a slide done, it's helpful to disassemble it completely before taking in. Overall these guys are very professional and knowledgeable. I checked out their store on the recommendation of a family member. On my first trip i was greeted by Matt who showed me some examples of their services and was genuinely helpful. I was so impressed with their work that i decided to have them cerekote my knife (SOG Flashback) right then and there. Matt said they would just pull the bodyshield off and then coat that (after I identified what sections i wanted coated). About a week later I checked in and Matt and he mentioned that they could not remove the bodyshield without a proprietary tool from SOG, but they had masked off the entire knife by hand and would then coat it. At that point I knew I had given them a very difficult project as the SOG has a lot of bumps and crannies that would be a pain to mask off. When I picked up my knife I was genuinely impressed with the result. The bright silver aluminium body is now a deep burnt bronze and there are very few areas where the coating missed. Again, being unable to remove the shield, I was concerned with what results I might get, but I can say their workmanship was amazing. Matt and Will met me and discussed what they did and how they did the work. I was impressed with their level of customer service. If you need anything cerekoted, I would highly recommend OC Custom Coating and I plan to take more items to them in the near future. read more

So I cannot review on their product quality as I did not get to that point. I was referred to this spot by partners at work and although I'm gun "savy" when it comes to coating jobs im a newbie. If you dont know the proper verbiage (which I warned the guy I didn't when I called that I didn't know the verbiage) their pretty rude. I told him I wanted "chrome plating" and he was very direct saying we don't do plating here to which I responded "well maybe I got the verbiage wrong I saw you guys can put plating on guns" he said "guns? No We don't do plating" (even though their website clearly shows they do guns he proceeded to keep being unhelpful in what I was trying to get done. Pretty frustrating on my end because all he had to do was just work with me on the verbiage but that's my fault too maybe but as a company you shouldn't be so quick to just send them away but that's just an opinion of mine. I would not recommend this place but that's purely on my customer service experience. read more

This is a top-notch coatings company. The most professional people work here. If you are looking for people that care as much as you do about coating your investment so that it will last lifetimes, then you have come to the right place. I cannot speak more highly of Matt and Anthony about their attention to detail and customer care. I will never go anywhere else. I am a lifetime patron of OC Custom Coating. The item I had coated was of a sensitive nature. It was nice to work with a company that is discrete and completely legitimate. Awesome! Went here from the recommendation of a friend. I dropped off two projects. Both simple colors but the service I received was top notch. I was greeted in the lobby and I was explained all my color options as well as their process. I was floored at the level of detail. The attention to detail is almost too much. Down right ridiculous. I dropped off all parts and was called when they were done. Picked them up and was happy as a clam. I am almost surprised at the warranty too. It's almost too much. I will defiantly be costing all my guns here! read more

I came here for the first time about a couple months ago after seeing this place on Yelp. I needed a slide refinished with cerakote. I worked with a guy named Matt. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. His customer service skills are the best. In the showroom, they had many examples of colors used on actual products. That helped me determine the color. I chose graphite black. After about a couple of weeks, my slide was ready, ahead of schedule. The results were outstanding. They also installed my new sights at no additional cost. OC Custom Coating does great work at a great price. They are pretty quick and their service is great. I would not hesitate to come back here again. read more

I had two different projects that they worked on and both came out excellent! The staff worked with me to really explain the process when getting a custom camo print and making sure the project was going to turn out how I imagined it. I also had them cerakote a Glock slide and chose one of their custom colors. Staff was quite accurate in estimating the time it would take to complete my projects. All in all I would definitely go back to them in the future. read more

Came here for an consultation from feedback from a Facebook group. I've been told it's relatively easy to build an AR-style rifle (and since the current political climate in California is increasingly anti 2nd Amendment), I've been sourcing tools, parts and other services for an AR build and heard the praises of Cerakote. Spent about twenty minutes talking (to I'm thinking the owner) about color samples I've seen on their website but wanted to see actually color swatches and samples in person. They have Glock slides, AR lowers, knives, what appeared to be a Mandolorian helmet in the display case. He ran down a basic price list and turnaround times (a month out as of this post). As the AR will most likely be a long-term project, I'll probably have them do something else, like refinish a shotgun (like the parkerized grey color, but it's not a great coating). Top tip: When exiting the 91 East, take the Kraemer exit, right on La Palma and enter the second driveway past the Carl's Jr. Don't make the rookie move I made (exiting Glassell). read more

They do all the cerakote jobs for us optics scopes and offer 10 percent discount for people who buy new rifles at riflegear. i will be taking acouple of my rifles in to get cerakoted here in their dragon skin camo. I'm glad I found this place... I think. My wife might disagree. In the short time sine I've discovered them I've already done 5 projects with them on multiple pistols and a shotgun. Some were simple 1 color coating jobs, and others more extensive patterns or aging effects, including some custom machining. They have done a great job on everything, and quite honestly, I find myself thinking about my next purchase more in the context of what I might do to customize it. I'm picking up my new shotgun today! It actually saw the OCCC shop before it even saw a range. The guys are patient and helpful with great ideas, and knowledge of what works well, and what doesn't. They provide accurate finish dates, and are good about communicating for pickup. I'm looking forward to more future purchases and custom work. read more

Paul at OC Customs is a stand-up guy! Also, their new engraving service is absolutely awesome! Check out some the the sample of their work on CalGuns: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=656998&page=4 I e-mailed a sample of the artwork that I wanted on my AR lower with some additional engraving to finish off my AR build. Matt was by far the epitome of a proud business owner taking care of his customers. I was greeted with a handshake and a smile. I needed help with my sights. Matt went above and beyond to make sure my gun was right and that I was happy. He even touched up a spot on my gun with no extra charge. He reminds me that there are still some proud business owners out there who know what customer service is all about. His price was better than any other I found, and it was worth the trip from Loma Linda. He even accommodated and helped me right there on the spot. I didn't have to wait around long.
