I had a disgusting trash issue that involved maggots in my waste bin and needed my bins thoroughly cleaned ASAP. After Googling a few different companies, I called OC Clean A Can and the nice gal on the phone gave me the pricing to pressure wash/sanitize/deodorize two bins (waste and recycling). It was $35 for a one-time service and they happen to be in my area the following day. I paid over the phone via credit card and was instructed to leave my bins out. The following day, a utility truck pulled in front of my house around noon and got down to business. I watched from the windows (like a creeper, I know) and the service was quick and efficient (I think it was done in 15 mins?). When I went out to pull my bins in, there was a sticker on it saying that the bins were serviced and while your trash bins are never going to smell like the inside of Bath & Body Works, it smelled and looked almost like brand new bins! This is our Trash Can Cleaning company; been cleaning for us for several years now (across 2 properties) and we couldn't be happier with them. Comes monthly to sanitize and deodorize our trash cans curbside. Gets rids of residue and smells that can attract insects and spread of bacteria. Everything is self-contained in their trucks, so no mess or dumping at your property. I don't think it's a common thing to have a trash can cleaning service (this was a DIY job for me growing up), but it's an amazing service and super affordable. It's an expense we would allocate for, most definitely. And we have no hesitation recommending OC Clean A Can. They can come more often than monthly, but monthly is the right cadence for us. There are times that felt like we needed it more often, but it was rare. Very disappointed in my service of my trash cans, they came for all of 5 minutes and while they cleaned the insides of trash cans the outsides were still dirty and covered in cobwebs. When I emailed to let them know a week later they basically said too bad I waited to long to tell them. I wasn't emailing them to come back I was just letting them know the service wasn't worth what I paid for. First of all, let me just say that this review does not reflect the quality of this companies work. I did not get the chance to use this service, so please take this review for what it is. I "scheduled" service online. I did not see my city listed so I asked if they could confirm that they service the city of Orange in the "extra notes" section of the online form. I figured they would since the name of the business is: "OC clean a can". Anyways, I get an email from Dale stating that he needs my address and the day of our trash can pick up. I reply back with the requested information... And then I wait... 3 weeks passes and so I send him an email asking if they could provide service??? I get an email back that states: "sorry we do not service Orange". Seriously, that's it? You don't get back to me for weeks, and then when I follow up that's what I get. Why didn't you just tell me that you don't service Orange in the first place? I think what bugs me even more is the fact that they are called OC clean a can, and yet they don't service the city of Orange which is right in the middle of the County of Orange. I put off having my cans cleaned for years. Finally, I pulled the trigger on OC Clean A Can. Jenny handled my call and scheduled my service. She is very polite and explained the process to me. I chose the one time (monthly) service just to see if the cleaning would be "as advertised." On cleaning day, the workers arrived on time and began the process. Obviously I needed this company to clean a dirty trash can. The can is several years old and trash, dog waste and who knows what else has been inside. The can looked dirty and used but apparently the company wants a clean can in order to "clean the can". I was told there was loose dog waste inside which there wasn't. We used OC Clean A Can today for the first time. Very good service. Showed up during the timeframe as promised. They did a very good job cleaning, sanitizing and deodorizing 5 cans which were very dirty. The overall process took about 20-25 minutes. They would have earned 5 stars but there were small spots of dirt/debris left in the cans that should have been removed during the high pressure cleaning process. We used a hose to spray the spots after the truck left and the spots easily came loose. A little more effort by OC Clean A Can could have removed the all of the spots while they were here and earned 5 stars. However, overall a very good experience, the cans are clean and deodorized. I would recommend them. Day 2 - the trash cans smell very fresh and clean the day after the service. A welcome change. read more

OC Clean A Can provided exceptional customer service to me. Here is an example of their going out of their way: I live in a condo where trash cans from 4 homes are put on the curb. One of my neighbors was new and, for several weeks, they took my clean cans and left their dirty ones on the street. The OC Clean A Can technician politely would knock on my door, and I'd get the correct cans for him. One of those times, my neighbor was out running errands, and my cans were in their back yard, and the technician waited while I called my neighbor, who came home in about 5 minutes. I am no longer ashamed of my trash cans, and their good work was the impetus for me putting my trash in tied plastic bags, before depositing them in the large trash can. We absolutely LOVE these guys! Our cans were covered in baby dirty diaper doo, old food, just plain old nasty stuff!!... I don't try to let our cans get that nasty on the inside but when you have two small kids under the age of 6 and your a busy mom, sometimes I'm guilty of just throwing "whatever" away. We had a colony of flies forming a large city in our trash cans. STUNK like FUNK!! It was DISGUSTING, it stunk and I was seriously thinking of just calling the trash company and begging them to bring me new cans. So I called the trash company and they told me I had to pay for new cans. Forget that. They mentioned these guys for sanitation and can cleaning, so I called. The service is very reasonably price and they come once a month. I like how they power clean the inside in there huge truck "dishwasher" like cleaner for the cans. They also spray sanitizer inside. Smells fresh, well as fresh as a trash can can smell. Lol. We will keep the service, after the first cleaning the flies had nothing too feed off from the inside of the cans. We are very happy with the service.I've read some of the negative comments and I feel like those people are ridiculous, and just need something to complain about.. if they want something different then maybe they should jump in their dirty trash cans and clean them themselves.
