I'm gonna go with average for this place. Keep in mind. I'm from an area where Mexican food is outstanding. So it's probably a regional difference. What I love may not be what others love. The food was fresh and hot. I got the chicken street tacos, which were tasty and not spicy. Perfect for me. They were really orange and I spent my entire meal trying to figure out what made them so orange that color. . My husband got the Pastor tacos. His comment was there were so many spices, he could hardly taste the Pastor portion of the tacos.. He tried my chicken tacos and thought they actually would've been a better choice for him. The Waitt staff was OK. Nothing to write home about but nothing wrong. The ambience of the place was like a regular Taqueria. So I'm giving it three stars because it's average. It was fine and if you're looking for Mexican food, you can go in and give it a whirl. But I wouldn't suggest you stop off in Williams just to try it out. We came here to try the birria pizza and it was huge! It's pretty much like a birria quesadilla but big enough for 4 people to share. They also gave us 4 consume to pair with it (it's like a broth you dip the "pizza" in) and it was delicious! The salsas at the salsa bar were also tasty and the service was great. What a gem! Yum-tastic! We were visiting from the east coast and this was the best meal we've had since we left home - over stops in Phoenix and Sedona. The highlights were the Salsa, the Birra pizza, the bean dip and the Yaqui taco. If you only have room for a small amount - try the Yaqui and the Birra. You won't regret either! There were only two people working when we visited and they were on point. Greeted right away, told to sit anywhere and checked on often. You pay at the counter at the end. Our food came out quickly but we were also the only customers at the time. PRICING - The total was $10.03 after tax and before tip for a quesabirria ($5) and an order of churros ($4). The pricing was very reasonable! QUESABIRRIA (7/10) - The birria was tender and flavorful and the corn tortillas were pretty jam packed! The onion and cilantro on top were fresh. It wasn't super cheesy which unfortunately is a downside for me. But, it does come with a side of consume for dipping which is great for the price! I'd order this again, even if it wasn't the best quesabirria I've ever had. CHURROS (7/10) - You get 4 churros cut into 8 pieces with some whipped cream in the middle. The churros are stuffed with a cream which was very good! They were cooked well but just weren't the best churros I've ever had. I'd probably still order them again as a sweet treat to end my meal! Obregon City Tacos has only been open for a few years so I can see their potential and think it's a great option in Williams for some authentic Mexican food! I think this is the last Mexican place we had to try out here in Williams and BAM! I'm so glad we did! We had their street tacos and salsa. We sat at the window bar so we could people watch. They have these beautiful live edge 2" thick tables to set your food and drinks on. The server was nice as well. My husband and I were on a trip for his bday and decided to eat here. We are both from Sonora so we were excited to try what we thought would be real and delicious Mexican food. Boy were we disappointed. I ordered 3 tacos 1 carne asada, 1 cabeza and 1 carnitas. None of them were decent. The carne asada tasted like over condimented meat that was cooked on flat grill not like carne asada at all, the carnitas were dry and the cabeza tastes more like shredded beef. My husband ordered 1 cabeza, 1 carne asada and 1 chicharron taco. He also agreed the food was not good, the only taco that was somewhat decent was the chicharron taco. We would never go back because the food is definitely not worth the hype. We thought the good reviews were a good thing, but obviously the reviews are from people who had never had actual good tasting Mexican food. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
