OBO Pizza is a local chain that has 3 locations - one in Fredericksburg, one in Indian Head, and the location in Waldorf. Never heard of this place, but we decided to give this place a try for lunch, as we had heard about their cheesesteaks. We ordered: +a Cheesesteak - opted out of the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and the red pepper relish, and just stuck with the mayo, fried onions, salt, pepper, and American cheese; this was super delicious! It was greasy, juicy, flavorful, and super generous in the filling; the roll was soft, too, and we thought this was prepared pretty well! +Gyro Wrap - served in pita bread with onions, tomatoes, and a huge dollop of the house tzatziki sauce; this was a bit forgettable, as it could have had more gyro meat; the pita bread was soft and fluffy; wasn't really a fan of the thick tzatziki sauce +a Four Cheese pie - topped with provolone, mozzarella, cheddar, and feta; probably one of the worst pizzas we've had; it looked pretty trashy, as you can see slices of the cheese that were used, rather than shredded; the tomato sauce was more on the sickly sweet side and had an offputting taste to it; the crust was super soft, and didn't seem like the 'brick oven-style' that the place was touting Staff were very friendly! There's only a couple of tables inside to dine-in, but most seem to call ahead and take to-go orders. Definitely would return for the cheesesteaks! Located in the Smallwood Village Center, there's ample parking available. +cheesesteaks! +friendly service +limited seating inside +located in the Smallwood Village Center +ample parking

Crab Pizza is a whole thing nowadays. So when the homie hipped me to this pizza spot & I saw crab pizza on their menu...needless to say...I was OUT!!They have a couple locations in southern M.D.. Looks like I found a gem ... let's go see what they're hittin on!! . Where I am: @obopizzas . Location Reviewed: 162 Smallwood Village Center, Waldorf M.D. . Menu Includes: Bacon, Sausage, Ham, Scrapple, Crab, & Gyro Breakfast sandwiches, Pancakes, Homefries, Brick Oven Pizzas, Craft Pizzas, Salads, Wings, Fries, Gyros, Subs, Cheeseburgers, Chicken Strips, Cakes, & bottled Beverages. . Items Reviewed: Their Personal Captain OBO Pizza (10" pie with crab, Old Bay, sriracha, Alfredo, & mozzarella $13.99). DELICIOUS. This pie was an absolute, but the saltiness made this just delicious. Their Pepperoni Pizza (14" pie with pepperoni & mozzarella $10.99). STAMP!! The Brick oven makes a difference, the pepperoni had kick, the marinara was sweet n spicy, the cheese melted perfectly!! Their Cheese Pizza (16" pie with mozzarella cheese $14.99). STAMP!! A tasty marinara, with a well cooked cheese ( it can't just be mozzarella), & the taste was elevated being cooked in a brick oven!! Their Cheesesteak (toasted with American cheese, onions, salt & pepper, & crushed red peppers $12.99). ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! This caught us off guard!! Cooked to order, you can tell a premium beef was used, the cheese blended well..just a really tasty sub!! Their Red Velvet Cake (1 slice $5). DELICIOUS. This cake was definitely good...for what tasted like a box cake. . Customer Service: It was a tad bit uncomfortable. We were tended to, but initially just stared at before spoken to. . Online Navigation: EASY!! . Parking: Plentiful, Strip mall parking. . Recommendations: Get that Cheese or Pepperoni Pie, & that Cheesesteak!! =STAMP =A.DELICIOUS =DELICIOUS =DECENT =PASS =NAH #Bigschlimsreviews

Large Cheese pizza (crispy light cheese)

Good all around pizza joint. The pizza oven alone is awesome to look at and will rock your socks off. The pizza is good however a bit too much cheese and not firm enough for my taste, as I'm a plain cheese pizza type of guy. At OBO I request the pizza to be cooked crispy and not too much cheese. The end result is really really good! Customer service is always top notch and the rewards program is great. I'll continue supporting this local chain!

    Good presentation

The presentation was nice, the store had a clean look, everyone had protective mask on, I seen soap at a sink so that was a plus on behalf of the workers. Good pricing. I was not thrilled by the quality of this pie. The sauce had a hint of sweetness to it. I thought I was about to dive into something amazing but it was regular. I wanted to try something new but it was okay. I would go back but not a top 5 choice here in Waldorf. To each it's own

EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! We had an awful experience with OBO Pizza, to include unprofessional management and ownership. We have eaten here several times, pizza was generally pretty good, staff could use improvements in customer relations, professionalism (several staff members just stand there talking/joking when customers are at register trying to place order). On a busy weeknight, we needed a quick dinner for our family and chose to order a pizza for carryout. Picked up in 15 mins and were home digging in. As we're eating, our 14-year old daughter starts screaming "There's a wasp baked into my pizza!!!!" Sure enough, there in plain sight, there was a WASP baked into her pizza!!! (See pics) The worst of it didn't end there unfortunately, that was only the beginning. We called OBO Pizza, told them what we found, and that we would be on the way back up there to address the situation. My husband arrives to speak to the manager, who denies any wrongdoing and refuses to take any responsibility, even blaming us for this issue. As if we would spend our own money, put a dead wasp on our pizza, and go through the inconvenience of driving all the way home to feed our family, only to have to come all the way back at 9:30pm to deal with this?!?? Beyond frustrating!!! Then the staff member who apparently made our pizza begins yelling from the back that "she knows there was no wasp b/c she made the pizza" My husband is furious at this point and simply asks for a refund. The manager refused to refund our money, and proceeded to call the police in order to avoid dealing with an unhappy customer and addressing the situation as an experienced manager would. My husband waits for the police to arrive, has a discussion with them about what happened, and since nothing can be done by law enforcement to force management to resolve an issue, it's all a waste of time. The owner arrives soon afterwards so we're hopeful that he will address the situation but NOPE, same thing... refuses any responsibility and the saga continues. Unbelievable situation... we ended up having to dispute the charges with our bank and the restaurant never took any responsibility for anything. Honestly, we spend so much money eating out in the Waldorf area, and there are too many quality restaurants to support rather than ones where ownership, management, AND staff are all lacking. Never, ever would we consider visiting OBO Pizza again, and absolutely cannot recommend it to anyone else... DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

    Hot Wings

The service was nice. Food looked decent but boy was I unimpressed. First of all I love wings. These wings had noooooo flavor but the hot buffalo sauce they were tossed in. Which as you can see didn't stick very well if at all to the wings. The skin on the wings was so chewy I threw them in my air fryer to cook a little longer and they were still bad. The pizza was just ok. Needless to say I will not be returning and I wanted to like this place. Also the nice lady prepping what looked like a gyro did not have on any gloves.

The service could have been better, but I don't think it was the servers fault. I was there for a bday party for around 20 ppl to include a dedicated kids table and 1 server to cover us all. 3-4 meals were not captured and I and 3 others had to wait until after everyone else was served to get our food. In my case I was given someone else's pizza (just pineapples) and the server took mine back and basically sprinkled Italian sausage crumbles on top. The environment was good. Family style bar/restaraunt with that local community staple vibe. Nice. Everyone was friendly, the bar tender was personable and I didn't drink anything just watched a game in the bar tv awaiting for my fam. I would go again if someone asked me to and maybe if in the area and wanted to have a drink hit the bar.wasnt the best experience but was a decent one. 3 stars seems adequate rating.

The chicken was good but the broccoli…read morewas overcooked and mushy while the Alfredo sauce had no flavor to it (tasted like they had dumped a jar of Ragu Alfredo sauce and added water to it). When I brought this to the server's attention, she went back and talked to the manager who also agreed the broccoli was overcooked so they comped the meal. The initial rating was going to be 2 stars but 9 times out of ten, this place makes really good food and the fact that the Customer Service saved them from losing a regular customer stands out over one bad meal. The server herself was embarrassed when I brought this up to her and I had to advise her this was not her fault, as she was always within reach and not hard to get the attention of. The wife had ordered a salad with chili vinaigrette and bleu cheese was initially brought out in a separate container. When we brought this to the attention of the server, she immediately corrected it and brought out two containers of the vinaigrette. The ambiance of the place was like a family owned establishment and all of the staff were on point and available at all times. It was cozy and didn't feel like we were being rushed while the place was hopping, the parking lot was full and the turnover was very quick. Never felt pressured or rushed, but the process was as smooth as silk. Still one of the best Italian restaurants in the area, which says something for a business that looks like a hole in the wall from the outside.

Craving for some teriyaki chicken? Go to Tony's!…read more I just thought that Tony's Pizza & Chicken was the usual pizza and fried chicken carryout, but this was more of a mish-mash of Americanized Chinese fare, subs and sandwiches, fried chicken, and pizza in offerings. We read about their teriyaki chicken, so we wanted to check them out - we ordered: +a regular Egg Roll - this was pork-filled; this was not good at all and was spat out by the hubs +a Shrimp Egg Roll - wasn't really feeling this either, although it had large chunks of shrimp in it; the duck and the hot mustard sauces didn't help +a Teriyaki Chicken - you can opt for fried or white rice, which we opted for the latter; this also came with a side of veggies; the chicken was well-done, just as we requested, and it was sooo good! Grilled perfectly, the teriyaki sauce used was yummy, and don't forget to ask for some Sriracha and pay for the Yum Yum sauce; don't make the mistake of not getting noodles, in which we added at the end +Half & Half - this was more of a toned down version of Hip Hop's drink Staff were kind and efficient. There are a few chairs and a table where you can wait for your food; no dine-in option. Most seem to just call ahead or order in-person for carry-outs. Located in the Smallwood Village Center, more towards the back, there's ample parking.
